I thought it was, really nice rods, I jus picked one up about 2 weeks ago at a fishing convention (Striper Day), but I have mines pared up wit a 3000 stradic, an for light tackle u can’t beat it, don’t get me wrong I like Penn I own a few, but I’m a Shimano guy, but as for the G.loomis rods for a light tackle rod 👍🏼👍🏼

Nice day on the water for sure👍Fluke or paddltail in new penny color or green with silver and gold flake usually gets the picky reds, but some days they just go off feed. Was pulling for you to get the grand slam. The tarpon always eludes me when i get red, trout, snook.

Try a saltwater assasin gold spoon there’s three sizes. they work in grass flats in NC

a good tactic for those flats reds is using a Z-man Jerk Shadz on a mustad chin locks hook and just twitch it along

Next time try a gold spoon for picky reds. They always hit a gold spoon!
You should try a weedless spoon. I use the chartreuse Aqua Dream spoon over here on the west coast and it's a total redfish magnet.

Shallows. Find a grass flat with a sandbar. As the tide rises they'll congregate along it then pass over it when the tide gets high enough.

I bet Chelsea could have crushed one of those reds... just saying!😉. FWIW, my go-to on reds in the day was a gold Johnson Sprite spoon with the pink plastic flicker blade on it, top water, or the slug-o in new penny color. Did you try that Ned rig on them or just the swim bait?

Not sure where exactly you are but if your in the stuart,ftpierce,Indian River area throw a doa or yo zuri shrimp the shrimp are all over the flats at night that's what they are feeding on.

I am in south Texas and I know down here I have the best luck with a golden spoon for reds. It’s kinda the old trusty and you have probably tried it but if not then maybe it’s worth a try
