Last Thursday, we were white perch fishing on a private lake in NW Louisiana and my dad's friend dredged up an old rod and reel from the bottom of the lake. haha
Nice mixed bag at that first spot, those blues must have run the trout off though. The clash looks good on that rod.👍 2500 is my personal preference for a redfish/trout flats reel as well. I like them on a medium light rod, with extra fast action for accuracy.

Okay new schedule - Monday surf fishing, Tuesday boat, Wednesday Bote, Thursday surf fishing, Friday Bote, and Saturday boat. What the heck take Sunday off. Just so you know we're all jealous.
MANUEL I could give you some spots that I personally have had luck in. One spot is Blind Pass in Sanibel. It is a very known spot so expect other people. Use live shrimp and rattle trap lures. Fish when the current is great. Any golf course near the ft myers area holds good fish (I know some golf courses that hold tarpon and snook).
It looks like the net ban that was passed back in the late '90s had a positive impact on inshore fishing. I'd like to hear any opinions from the locals.
