Hey all! We see all the comments on the weird buzzing noise on the last few episodes and have tracked down the problem. We have a ROGUE FREQUENCY in the SF studio. Sorry about that! It unfortunately seems like it made it into the next recording of NVC as well (as we did a pre-recorded episode last week), but after this coming week's episode it should be fixed. SORRY ABOUT THAT.
For those trashing on Kat in the comments for making a mistake, please remember these are human beings. They make mistakes. With how many games they play it's surprising they're able to remember as many details as they do. They're making this content for you to enjoy. The least you could do is show a little respect.
@@joshcoker971 because shes consistently one of the most knowledgeable and great guests on the show. She doesn't have to like something just because you do.
@@joshcoker971 Because it’s a Nintendo podcast not a Pokémon podcast, also it’s a response not to the direct but to the terrible state of scarlet and violet and game freak not doing enough to garner goodwill.
Kat's not wrong. The raids in Pokemon are pretty redundant and boring. Seth sorry you accidentally dropped your best April Fool's pitch on the NVC episode!
25:57 “There are like no double battles in Scarlet and Violet”. Ryme would like to have a word with you or maybe challenge you to a rap battle on the subject.
The shallow JoyCon analog stick is actually great for 2d platformers. Modern platformers are generally made with the expectation that players use an analog stick, and on the Xbox controller for example the tall analog stick feels less responsive. It could just be that I've played a lot of indie platformers handheld on Switch and have gotten used to it, though.
My game actually randomly crashed last night and this is very well after the patches were made so it’s def still happening… maybe not as much but it is happening
The wiiU game pad was one of the most comfortable controllers for me. Def more than the switch. And matter of fact Kat, 85% of my gaming was strictly On the gamepad and not on tv. Some newer controllers are smaller and over long play sessions cramp my wrists and hands.
The Wii U game pad is the best Nintendo controller. The screen when use correctly was amazing. Zombie U used it well, Nintendo Land, Mario Maker and others. It had a mic and worked well for some games like monster hunter. Even though it looks clunky and big is very comfortable using it
please fix the high-pitched noises that we’re hearing on the audio. It sounds like feedback or some sort of background noise . It’s really bad and really distracting. thanks!
Rebekah Valentine being confused by an arcade joystick? Also, the SNES controller has a Switch version that sells very well. Are these podcasters not aware of their IGN audience? IGN used to rave all about the Wii U controller. Someone is trying to retcon.
Can't believe I'm hearing this blatant Wii U slander, when Nintendo gave us the switch, which every aftermarket company had to make covers, extensions, and out right different controllers for because they're so small and bad is ridiculous. Also what a crap take on the SNES controller. The SNES controller is a simple, beautiful, and perfect design for 16 but games. There's a reason Playstation stole the design and added d pads. It's gaming perfection. The dualshock/sense is just adjustment/evolution.
Not sure if comments on this show are made to be taken as a joke or meant to be overly negative. You don't like competitive now. Okay, don't do it. You don't like the raids. Don't do them. The solo content you're looking for is the main game. You played it. Your points aren't making sense.
An aspect of the game is bad, they have the right to discuss it. The raids are literally broken, that’s a point that makes perfect sense because it’s true.
Your not making sense...she says theres less she enjoys in the game and your response is stop complaining and leave that content alone....how is that helpful or constructive?

Kay Bailey is a treasure. No one else orients their taste and informed critique so clearly, and keep the two distinct in conversational context
There is an awful feedback sound on a lot of IGN podcasts these days
Definitely, had to listen at lowest possible volume to get that noise to go away.
Edit: I’m a headphone listener
Pokemon Vape, Koffing and Weezing finally get some marketing push.
Seth's PokeMonday and PokeGarfield joke turned me into floor guy for a moment there.
The Pokémon Direct was missing one thing: student loan forgiveness
what?! 😂
And how to solve the housing crisis
Solve the housing crisis by mass producing Celesteela and living inside them as our own personal space craft.

Kat's response to one lame Pokémon direct is: I’m done with Pokémon. Then why are you on this panel.
@@joshcoker971 because shes consistently one of the most knowledgeable and great guests on the show. She doesn't have to like something just because you do.

One gym and absolutely nothing else is "like no double battles" in a game this size. It's weird how they only use them for that one thing!
Reb's priest detective series is a TV show called Father Dowling Mysteries. Let's bring that character back in a video game.

As a guy who doesn't really care about Pokemon, I'm here for cool hats and corny jokes. Thanks Seth!

24:00 - 28:00 was painful to listen to. Neither person being able to actually name what they’re talking about was beyond frustrating.
40:18 Reb, you should watch Under the Banner of Heaven if you haven’t seen it. sounds like it’d be up your alley.
Great series!
Game Freak needs to subout a main line game to a company that can actually make games.
Kat thanks for telling the truth about Pokémon.
That video was really interesting.
Keep up the great work, hopefully there's a interview about this game one day.

Pretty sure kat said she gets high and plays Pokemon unite lol
They are moving backwards with Pokémon
Are you joking? Its moved foward into openworld ....
Its just got some bugs.
„What are you using a D-Pad for?“ Come on Reb, You’re not that young…
it was a joke :P

Great podcast, but the high pitched ringing throughout it made it very hard to listen to…
Finding the legendary Pokémon in this game is as much “endgame content” as the game asking you to fight every single gym leader again 😂😂😂
Great Stuff, as always!
3DS is one of the best ways to play Pokemon games
Please figure out that feedback issue
The Wii U game pad is a legit great controller. Easily better than the Switch Pro controller. Wii U's failure was not because of that controller.
Pokemon as a franchise has gotten disappointing
Some serious shade thrown at the Valley of the Dirt People. =:3
ranking high on Pokemon Vape!

Idk if you read RUclips comments for Question Block but.. "What's Your Favorite Pokemon?"
Hello fellow Paper Luigi
My list
Gamecube
Switch Pro Controller
SNES
NES
Joy Con
Wii
N64
Wii U
Pokemon Vape 😂
y'all think game freak and another studio should team up? like monolith? ntelligent Systems ?
OG Pokémon games are always better than the newer games
The subtle beeping was really annoying this ep :)
The Wii U haters in the middle, tho. Guess they never kept up with IGN from 2012-2017.
No offence to Kat, but she clearly hasn’t played much of S/V. I don’t think her opinion is wrong, but this whole argument comes across pretty poorly.
Her argument was that Pokémon is moving in a direction that doesn’t align with what she finds enjoyable. How did that come across poorly?
She was very clear in her argument and explained all her points well, what were you confused about?

People take the "issues" with Scarlet and Violet way too seriously. The games are great.
They're also extremely flawed and obviously pumped out to meet a deadline. Let's be fair....
they're ok games with jarring issues. stop lying to yourself.
@@lionablaze8747 They're great games.
Its fantastic. The glitches have been blown waaay out of proportion..
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Pedant...
is that a guy next to the girl?
Get a game boy and play one of the original Pokemon games
Jesus, my brain hurts listening to this Pokémon stuff.
Then why did you click on it since 'Pokémon Direct' is clearly in the title
If only there had been some sort of clue as to what content was featured in this episode before you clicked the thumbnail.
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit is it dude
Still not a fan of Kat, but that’s probably because their view point and mine have been exact opposite.

Jeez reb spaz much? Lol
Battery life on the Wii U pro controller tho. 🤌

Lol
Why would Pokémon announce an update to a Nintendo service?
