You’ve lived my dream man. I’ve been following Tommy for years, learning his songs, watching all his interviews. If I’m ever able to spend quality time with him like that I’d be on a high for years. The guy will go down as an all time legend
I'm just a regular guy and I feel lucky to have spent time with Tommy - it was an amazing experience. When these opportunities come up for me, I enjoy them so much... but in my mind, I want these opportunities to be for all the other regular guys who dream about this stuff too. That's why I share the videos. I hope you get to meet him. BTW, I some of your Tommy covers on your RUclips channel. You can play!
@@guitarmagic amazing. I did get to meet him briefly in January this year, I was going to ask him to play a song with me but my body turned to jelly right after he walked in the room. He was a gentleman though. Exactly as expected. I will meet him again at the end of next month and try again lol. I need to mention this. When he came to Glasgow, Scotland in January. It was about 5c in the hall as the heating system was broken! But the way he played, you’d have never known. Thanks for looking at my covers man I appreciate the comment :) Good luck in all your future endeavours!
Been waiting for thus pairing. Wonderful. The joy of playing and appreciation of each other is just tops. Tommy can play anything, and his ability to compliment another's performance is one of a kind. Trey is becoming legendary. Carrying a big torch with the likes of Billy Strings.
When it was happening, I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. The music was so good and they were having so much fun. I love how they laugh at the end of each tune!
Thank you, John! After watching the interview with Tommy I was wondering whether you'd post the behind the scenes footage you talked about in that video; and you did. Wonderful footage! Again, thank you!
My pleasure! I definitely wanted to share all the footage, but I knew I couldn't cram it into the original interview without making it way too long. So... a BONUS FOOTAGE video was my solution. Be well.
Thank You. !!! I saw the interview and had no idea that I'd be blessed to see the fun times you got to spend with him... keep up the good work.. the capo keep in tune trick .. is great! ........ comes from knowing and understanding. pat
Thanks you for watching! It was an amazing experience to hang out with him and absorb so much of the moment, but I couldn't keep it all to myself. Why not share it with a bunch of folks who could also benefit and enjoy it?
Saw the fabulous interview then came here to see the playing. Really wonderful ❤️ and I love that Tommy keeps it all simple! The results when he plays are so phenomenal though! 😊
That's pretty funny! Personally, I can't imagine wearing clothes that make sense for show business. All these performers with fun clothes like Jacob Collier. If I ever wind up on a stage again, it will probably be denim for me.
I watched the interview, great job and so good stuff you can learn from it 👍 I was very curious when you showed a little preview of soundcheck, I didn't think you would upload that part as well, thank you so much 😉 I'm always very curious when he does a soundcheck. When he had a show in my town, I would always come very early, and wait, and then sneak to soundcheck, Steve would let me in 😁 Great guys! Yes, Tommy is always humble and he will show you anything you ask, such a great person ☺️ Glad you had a great time with him. Couple questions: PA was off? Have monitors been on or sound we hear is only from an amp?
Glad you enjoyed the videos. Thanks for watching. If I remember correct, the PA was on and the line out of the amp was running through the house system. The amp was not pointed toward the audience, it was behind the PA speakers and pointed at Tommy for monitoring.
I’m not sure, but hopefully one of the other viewers out there can tell us. I loved all the music snippets he played in the rig rundown - usually guys just noodle through those.

So very cool these two playing together
Yep. A feast for the ears. They laughed a lot, which is a good reminder that music is fun.

Simple ain't easy. Tommy gets the most out of every note.
@@guitarmagic oh don't I know it!! 🤣 He makes magic with every note!
I admire that man !
Please set-up a Go-Fund-Me for ol' Tommy as the poor soul has duct tape on the knees of his trousers.

Thank you. Tommy is magic. 🎸
You're most welcome. Tommy IS magic!

Oh wow! What a great video thanks so much for sharing
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment.
Saw both in Nashville two years ago. Everyone knows Tommy, but Trey Hensley is also a fantastic player and singer.
Yeah, Trey really played his @ss off. Fantastic.
What is the instrumental tune Tomm y plays at the beginning of the rig rundown?
I’m not sure, but hopefully one of the other viewers out there can tell us. I loved all the music snippets he played in the rig rundown - usually guys just noodle through those.
How to get fullscreen on a phone? Great footage
I mixed horizontal and vertical video, so I don’t think you can get both full screen. Glad you enjoyed it.
