Hey Curlywurly, always great to see you here! Yes, there are always new approaches to hooded eyes, my thoughts on hooded eyes lately are accepting them, and even (gasp!) learning to love them? 😘
I've always had hooded eyes, which of course have dropped more over time. My problem is I have alopecia so without eyelashes to help support my eyelids, by the end of the day, they begin to droop enough to shadow my vision. Knowing the day would come when I may have to have surgery, this is a welcome video to try and delay surgery as long as possible! Thanks.
Thanks for sharing this, you bring up an important point which I must mention the next time I do a video hooded eye related. I have a friend who tilts her head back to see because of hooded eyes, WHICH can damage the back of the neck! and as you say, hooded eyes can interfere with our vision. There is a time when we need eyelid surgery! Please keep me post if you go in that direction. Also, is it OK if I mention your eyelid situation in an upcoming video? probably some months off...All the best! 🤗
In my youth, I didn't have them--I have very deeply set eyes. And a lot of space between my eyebrows and my creases. Thanks to tumor surgery, I got nerve damage. At 1 time 1/2 of my face was paralyzed. It came back after 8 months, but I have 5% weakness and coupled with normal aging I have to deal with droopy uneven eyes, eyebrow, nose & mouth. Personally, I find the lip droop to be much more bothersome--if I'm not actively smiling I look like really grouchy. The eye droop is starting to affect my reading, but so far the insurance says no, it's isn't bad enough yet! So I can commiserate there. Best of luck! Kerry Lou, yes! This would make an interesting video, as would countering the effect of radiation damage or other medical problems on the face. The illusion of symmetry can be critical!
