Looking at this uniquely Japanese small "sparrow" and the patterns on its body
I wonder if this may have been a kind of mimicry for them to settle on the island of Japan.
The round shape of the sparrow's head and the brown hairs on the top of the head represent the hairy part of the human head, and the beak and eyes of the sparrow look like the nose and eyebrows of a human.
The black circles on their white cheeks represent the two eyes of a human being, and the sparrows as a whole look like a picture of a human face with a peaceful expression.
The pattern on the wings of the sparrow's back is similar in color and shape to the pattern on the mino-gappa, the going-out clothes worn by the Japanese in the Middle Ages.
To the eyes of the Japanese of that time, the shape of the sparrow must have appeared very gentle and friendly.
This may have been a design created by the sparrows mimicking the sparrows to avoid being disliked by the humans living in the same area, in order for a race of sparrows to breed and settle in the Japanese islands.
The mechanism of mimicry and who creates it is still unknown even today, but I feel that there is a mystery there that cannot be said to be a coincidence.
