Hi Cheryl, I agree, really we at any age can learn from every body honestly. I’m trying to get back to quilting, I’ve lost my mojo for over 1 year now. Any suggestions would truly help me. I bought myself this brand new Brothers sewing machine, and some fabric to start and my hubby said he’d help me, mostly with cutting the fabric teaching me about measurements and numbers to read, and now he’s decided he ain’t doing it any more. Don’t know why. But…I’m trying to work with other small project and go from there. Wish me luck. I miss sewing/ quilting. My husband is a impossible.
omg, I am so surprised at how much I love this quilt. The pantograph really makes a beautiful touch to a slightly masculine quilt. So super cute. The backing fabric is also a nice touch. BTW, thank you for showing how you load the quilting frame.
Love that the backing you chose didn't exactly match. I love how it turned out and it gives me hope to get out of my comfort zone with matchy-matchy all the dang time. Well done! Thanks for sharing content!
It turned out beautiful! I would have tossed the backing fabric to the side and used a fabric that was a safe bet. Good job at making it work! Way braver than me!!
Emily, how do you like your longarm machine? I just got the same one, and am brand new to longarming. My machine and frame are still in the boxes, and waiting for the floor epoxy to dry before I can set up my machine. And tips or tricks to setting it up?
I've had it for a year now, and I love it! I wish I had advice on frame assembly, but my brothers and dad all did that for me 🙃 the main thing I have heard is follow the steps in the manual as they are and don't try to skip ahead because then you'll have to undo things. Have fun with it!
usually it's about 10 minutes to cut, and then a few hours to piece. I'd say start to finish this could probably get done in a weekend if I sat down and did everything back to back :)
👏👏👏 I love that I am 75 and can learn from a younger person. Keep up the good work.

That was some tricky longarming -- holding it until you could clamp. I knew you would make it work. Quilt is lovely. Thanks
The quilting design was perfect for this. I missed Trixie😢 I’m glad she’s enjoying her naps though.
It’s beautiful!
I love learning from you too. Your color choices are stunning!! Incidentally I turned 74 this summer. I wish I had started Quilting at your age!!

Really cute pattern. Glad everything worked out with the backing. Missed Trixie.
It was weird editing this video and not having any of her antics!

I have also discovered the fabric cafe 3 yard quilts. I have made 2 so far this year!
I love 3 yard quilts. Have made several and will enjoy your journey as well. I am wondering about Trixie.
she decided the heater vent was top priority during this quilt lol!
I don’t think I would have been as lucky as you 🤷♀️ Those holes would definitely have been somewhere on the finished quilt back 😳🇬🇧
