i live in the WA mt range , wenatchee , so i ride wide variations of elevation also and have aftermarket air box and cate deleted on my 901 , after trying out other options i found Rapid Bike EVO and the bikes never ran better absolutely perfect all the time , pulls harder everywhere snappier excell and no loss of MPG
I think its crazy that we have to add aftermarket ECU's to brand new bikes just to make them run properly. Back in the day we jetted bikes for better performance because of fixed jetting ,but you could buy one and run it as/is for its lifetime. IMHO DEQ has taken us backwards with regards to motorcycles ,the fuel efficiency of motorcycles in the worst state of tune is many times better than the best escalade :( Hope you folks up in Wenatchee aren't suffering to bad from the wildfire smoke.
@@thebelligerentmechanic8916 your preaching to the choir !! i completely agree but wheres the blame to be put ?? its not the manufacturers that want to meet ever tightening ridiculous emissions standards... all these bikes come from the factory running far too lean and all chocked up so they can hardly breathe , it is stupid stupid expensive now to do what we used to call "uncorking" a new bike back in the day a few DIY airbox mods a supertrapp can removed the smog pump plug it up with golf t and jet kit you could do it all yourself in a few hours for $150 buck maybe ?, now between the intake cat delete mid pipe cannister delete kit exhaust and tuner your in the kit closer to $2Grand
I fitted also a FuelX lite and a airbox filter lid. It compleaty changed the bike 🎉🎉
