This is one my my favorite non-original versions because it isn't rushed - the full force of the bass line comes through clear. And Rossana does it justice. Not easy to play a repeated line and still sound urgent.
Mio Dio! Ma cosa fa Lino dal minuto 2'17" al 2"27 ? Dieci secondi fantastici... Di Rossana non dico nulla perché è straordinaria... non basterebbero parole...
My favourite BC tune, but this has to be the lowest key version on RUclips! it's like this is the reference version from which all the others begin. Clearly a group of competent, talented musicians, but I'll bet they can rock this one with a bit more energy.
super! also the video & production (well for me sometimes too quick the transitions, but well ...) - thanks for sharing! i like Nicolosi Productions :)
Certainly an equal to the original recording of "Stratus." Both, Lino Nicolosi's guitar work and Rossana Nicolosi's rumbling, hard-driving bass lines are truly every bit as good as the original efforts of the supernova that burnt out too soon, guitarist Tommy Bolin, and the legendary skills of Leland Sklar on bass. What he shares about it really blew my mind as in the fact that all tracks used on the entire album were done in one or two takes and Tommy Bolin amazing shredding being all improvised, all just off the top of his head and all whilst being only 22 years old, totally amazing!!! For fans of Billy Cobham's "Spectrum" album featuring probably the most respected and revered fusion recording of all time, in my opinion, be sure to check out bassist Leland Sklar's video on the original studio recording. ruclips.net/video/C1Z4ux1y1b8/видео.html
This almost sounds like the original. Perfectly performed. Rossana is showing a huge amount of endurance on this bass riff. For another intersting but also a very good version of Stratus you may check this -> ruclips.net/video/SLQ9TBeARPY/видео.html
After Listening to Stratus numerous times, one song that never lets you down. What a session !
...the best groove to heading a sundowner anywhere in your convertible...
Easy it's just professionals doing 8 to 5
Superb ! Perfect ! Even the guitar solo was perfect ! Ladies and Gentlemen STRATUS !
Rossana Nicolosi is a heck of a bass player.
…especially that she’s more than holding her own against the original performance of legendary Leland Sklar.
my fav female bass player ever.
Huge fan of both Billy Cobham and Nicolosi family. The series Drum'n Voice parts 1 - 4 is part of my CD-collection and I still love it. ❤🔥👍🙏👌
Le plus grand des grands Morceaux de Cobham STRATUS ici dans un magnifique version !

OHHHH MY GOD.....a new band of fusion.....make more misters ...don't stop...

Great guitar
Billy Cobham served in 'Nam. Not many people know that.
He was in the Army band.

Great version of Billy's classic, but nobody beats Tommy Bolin at guitar
Guitar has a good tone going on
And Lee Sklar on Bass.
Parole sante.
Tommy was unique.
