Bettertrax is a great addition for Bettersax subscribers. I have loads of playalong books, but only relate to 2 or 3 tunes in each. Your selections, Jay, are all favourites I'll love working on. With an app I already have for changing pitch, I can slow them down and practise in any key, with your really groovy rhythm section. Thank you, Jay. Yet again you've hit gold!
Jay you will always be the teacher and me the student thats for sure. This version of ALL OF ME just fantastic. It seems every time you play through the piece you take the mouthpiece out and place your head to the side. Sorry looks wrong. Shouldn't the thought be a new breath and start of the next phrase.
Oh yeah! Our wishes are being heard! If it's okay to request, Green Dolphin street next? I would love to hear your tone and improvisation on that classic! Thanks again Jay! I can wait to hear you cover more standards!
Hey Jay Im curious I need to do an improvisation on All of Me for class and im wondering if you have any tips. I know I can improvise but with this song Im struggling and keep leading myself into notes that sound off and this is causing me to play with less power and emotions and fun. Ive always been good at keeping to a blues scale or a chord because I feel like there is more freedom but when I have to, I guess, pay attention to changes then I start making production im not proud of. What are your tips to imporovising over this song and others like it better? Also what reed are you using ive been trying to experiment with different ones to find what I enjoy the most. And of course amazing playing man im never disappointed

Thanks! Very professional gear, unfortunately way above my budget.... I am still learning this stuff and bought SM 57 and Focusrite Scarlett, seems to work ok for now!😊
Really great impro Jay ! You've got lessons about blues, about pentatonics, do you plan to launch a lesson about improvising on a jazz standard ?? I'll be very interested.
Is that a Selmer balanced action? Sounds so different the Yanni on Fly Me To The Moon. Is that more down to the mic and different EQ? I'd like to hear a side-by-side comparison.
there is an intro to each tune which gives you time to get ready for the beginning of the melody. No vocal count in though. On iReal Pro there is always a count in.
You don't need all the files right away, there are a lot of extras most people will not need. When and if you do, you can get those from your account by logging in at anytime. I suggest downloading the files that are marked [backing tracks] to start.

Record yourself and LISTEN to what you’re playing. Improve the weak spots and memorize a few different versions. Mix & match is a lot of fun!
Sounds great, man! I know it’s mostly about the sax player😊 but can U tell also what is your recording gear?☀️
Coles 4038 mic UA Apollo interface

May I ask ... what are the headphones you use in this and many other videos? Is there an "open" model you could recommend? Thanks.
Those are Sony studio headphones that are standard for recording. The mic is a coles 4038 and I use UA Apollo interface.
