Thank you for the video. My washer is 2 1/2 yrs old, model WT7305CW. Was having the same issues and for a while could unplug and plug back in and it worked... but then that stoped working. Took it apart and found out the problem was the front panel was not connecting to the control board. Put some aluminum foil on front panel, where the start button and pause button connected to the control board and it fixed the problem. Now it works perfectly!!! Cost $0. Hope this helps someone

I just wanted to add this update on my washer. I called LG and demanded they pay for the repair on my. 2. 1/2 year old washer. They sent out a technician and low and behold there is a recall on the mother board on these washers. I encourage all of you to contact LG and ask for a supervisor. That's what I did. They put in for a special consideration to fix my washer free and I got an email that they would fix it, FREE. The tech was here today and told us that there is a recall on the mother board and he'll be back when the part comes in... CALL LG!! make them make it right.

It's the coating on the inside of the panel. Take it apart and slide a single layer of aluminum foil between the plastic and the flat panel (between where you press and the switch that looks like a spring). That little trick fixed mine.

I had the same issue with the power button being unresponsive and it looks like it’s either a touchscreen screen defect or a the power button spring that has lost its spring action from all the pressing. I saw the tape fix unfortunately that didn’t work for me but what did work was; I took a pen spring and laid it horizontal on the touch screen to make contact with the control board power button spring and used black tape to hold it in place now this PoS works every time and the wife is a happy camper 😂

I'm so glad that I came across your comment! Our washer has been down for a week due to the same reason and we've tried about everything on here. I was doing a little more digging before we cut a hole in the panel just to touch the power spring on and I asked my husband to try this and Ta Da it worked! This wife is happy now too!! Thank you so much!!

@@jolenemesser6189 awesome!!!! glad it worked hopefully it helps other’s with this known issue. I complained to LG but they won’t assume responsibility even though it’s clearly a factory defect. They sell just the touch panel for around $40 bucks I narrowed it down to that but at this point I feel even if that is replaced eventually it will happen again so for us this became a permanent fix 🤣

  • @ckye736

You should check the level. Usually installation is done incorrectly. That causes you to push harder and the foam behind gets squished. It’s an installation issue. We had the same problem. Sears did wrong installation without leveling it. Many repair guys don’t know. They say to replace the expensive parts, which last 10 yrs. It’s the foam. Find someone who is specialized in LG Samsung machines. You can’t call the average car repair sho guy for a Tesla. All they say is to replace the whole electric board.

There are two things that go wrong on these, the first is the screens, fill up with debris from the water intake, take off hises and pull out screens, and clean them. Second is the spongy buttons behind the control panel. There is a youtube video on fixing these. I just swap them around for ones i dont use.

Hi, I have same problem. I found that they use Pizo-electric start switch. What that means is the Pizo-electric tape is wrapp around the 1/2" x 3/" foam. This foam gives up its elasticity and when you touch or push the button it does not make contact. Now, you said, bu unplugging for 24 hours it started, the reason is that the foam took it shape back and made the contact. It has nothing to do with board or the electricity. It is a bad engineering from LG which they should use different kind of switch., not foam activated. Hope you understand this. Tell everyone about this. There is no majic in this. it is a bad engineering. Don Patel
