@Peace is Good. Peter Hitchens started out as a committed trotskyist, so I take what he says on certain matters with a pinch of salt. He was based in Moscow for a number of years as a correspondent. Capitulation to Putin will just encourage him to attack the baltic states and commit further atrocities in the name of the glory of Russia 🇷🇺. From certain reports I have read, it would seem that the Russian military are not good at logistics.

Peter Hitchens provides very important points on this issue and Mike would be wise to take these seriously. It's stupid to escalate and draw out a war. It's better to make some concessions for the sake of peace than to prolong a war and probably have no choice but to make those concessions anyway. Why do people think a no fly zone would cause a rapid withdrawal of Russia from Ukraine?

The mail on Sunday is so terrified of Peter Hitchens their own journalist, they won't even allow their own readers to comment on his column that he does, knowing that 99% of people agree with what he says, but they have to keep up the idea that he is the majority and the narrative they are pushing has to be pushed above all else. But you can leave comments on every other peice they publish. It's similar to the Guardian, they wont let you comment on any item they know will get posts that will go against the author of the peice, so they only allow comments on about 15% of their stories the vast majority being about Brexit and climate change, anything else the comments are closed. It really is pathetic, when they have to protect their precious stenographers ego's from comments that don't align with their views.

A no-fly would save thousands of innocents from current ongoing slaughter in plain sight. Seems to be irrelevant. The current histories of the USA, the west, and Russia's mistakes show very bad leadership and massive profiteering currently in the guise of fake-'woke' propaganda, the Covid stock market, and unprecedented gov. profiteering. Does anyone know that!
The rich fool's departure from the hard-earned Afghan base's relative quiet told Putin, "Now".

I couldn't get past the first few moments of the video where you seem to be in some confusion about Russia's aims.
I think it would be helpful if we were to occasionally listen to what the Russians are saying.
"Russia has done everything to preserve Ukraine’s territorial integrity. All these years, it has persistently and patiently pushed for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2202 of February 17, 2015, which consolidated the Minsk Package of Measures of February 12, 2015, to settle the situation in Donbass." -- from the Address by the President of the Russian Federation, 21/02/2022.
From the Minsk agreements, haven't we known for years what the Russian demands were? I have listened to an interview with General Macgregor, and he seems to understand where the Russians are coming from. Perhaps the West should be giving them a little more respect, be a little less bullying, and have their own ideas a little more based in reality.

Is the question regarding having a moral compass knowing where the line is drawn?.F1 and football payers take the knee for racial equality yet do not mind the continuation of advancing their wealth at the expense of quite vicious policies in the countries they visit and take the hospitality as well as the cash? The West has just as much a history of interference and invasion as the Russians have. This really comes down to the elite having the power to do so ,as the elite do not take part in the invasion and the kill or be killed actions of the war they start or for that matter suffer to any degree when the poor people of a country are told their bills, food, and utilities will be more than they can afford yet the politicians never suffer the experience of the people. The fact that a small group of [often corrupt] elitists can send the people to wars and in the ultimat case destroy this earth ...something is seriously illogical is it not?
