    Thanks a lot man you helped me pick between the Samsung Galaxy S6 lite 64g and the Samsung Galaxy A8 64g. The only thing I wanted to do with It was stream videos on RUclips, prime, Crunchyroll, and Netflix along with reading manga and occasionally browse the web. So the A8 is absolutely perfect especially since I got It on sale for a wopping $160 on Amazon today! This will be my first tablet (at 34 years old! lol) so no reason to break the bank. Your video was very helpful and detailed answering all of my questions that other videos didn't go into at all so I truly appreciate it!

      Thanks so much! Yeah the S6 lite is great if it's close to the same price. But the big appeal is the S-Pen. But if you got the 64 gig version and saved at least 50 or 100 bucks and you don't need the s pen, that's a great deal

      I've been using the A8 64g for over a year now and it has been great! I primarily use it for similar things as you and has been perfect for it. No need to spend $500+ on a high end tablet for everyday browsing and streaming. You made a smart choice.

      Ikrrr! I also love the way their panels are set up and how easy they are to read on my phone, unlike those messy, black, and white manga panels with they tiny ass fonts!
      If you couldn't already tell, yes, I mainly wanted to get a tablet to mainly read manga and fanfiction without straining my eyes anymore.
      Edit: I think I just realized that my poor eyesight is probably the reason why I stopped watching anime all them years ago. Cos reading subtitles on my Samsung is an absolute myth lol.😅

    I just bought the 64 gb version as a replacement for my Galaxy tab A 8". It was in my budget too at $230. I don't need a fancy tablet since I mostly use it to read, scroll social media, and watch movies, tv shows and RUclips.

    I just got the tab a8 64gb lte model as a gift with my s23. I have the tab s8 and tab s8 ultra so i will likely give this to a family member or friend. That said i was suprised how good this tablet is in basic use. Build quality is great, software works very well and it has android 13. Screen is ok and so is battery life. What suprised me is the speakers. It actually has 4 speakers and dolby atmos and is pretty close to tab s8 regarding sound quality. This is a great tablet for content viewing and listening. The speakers are loud enough to listen to podcasts too. Definetly a good buy if you want a device with a bigger screen than your phone and dont want to spend. Good luck with growing your channel!

    I got one 6 months ago, I wear it in a small backpack and whip it out if I need an Uber or something.. but I ditched my smart phone. It actually got stolen, but I wasn't concerned. I had a burner phone for a bit but decided to activate the eSIM in my Galaxy Active 2 smart watch, so now my watch is my primary phone. I take calls using earbuds. A smaller carry overall. I don't mind carrying a tablet, a small keyboard, a tactical flashlight and a few other useful items on my back.

    Thanks, brother. Most comprehensive review I’ve seen without all the unnecessary yada yada.I’m shopping for an inexpensive tablet for my pretty basic needs. I’ve been using an iPad mini2 since it came out so have some concerns about being disappointed by downgrading. Running iOS 12 and, of course can no longer update that. However, I’ve been retired and on a fixed SS income for a few years so really appreciate your comments about folks with limited budgets and “disposable income “ , whatever that is. 👍🏼🖖🏼🤙🏼✌️

    I love these things! Bought a few of them for myself and my kids. They fit in your hands! I don't like any tablet over about 9". Can't stand the pains of apple and itunes sync. So... I got the 4 gig ram version / usb-c (both critical), and for reading email, watching RUclips, editing things on google drive, browsing reddit, etc... It's perfect! I rarely pull out my laptop because I can handle %90 of what I need to do while consuming music and other media. Also, it fits in my back pocket unlike a 10+ inch tablet. Also the battery goes for a couple days with a fair amount of use, where a laptop can't easily be used while laying on the couch, and will be dead with constant use in 4 or 5 hrs.

      Please can you bring me some more of your user experiences about Samsung tab a8 4 /64 gb multitasking?
      I'm thinking of buying new inexpensive but reliable tablet for such tasks as watching Netflix, HBO, RUclips, reading e-books on Scribd, listening on music on Spotify. But, also I'm gonna use it for some internet, reading emails, light work stuff (writing and reading docs, pdf, checking some pps...). Although I'm gonna need it rarely for this, is this tablet good enough for atleast decent Skype, Zoom or some similar video meetings?
      What's the quality of display, can I install and, for instance simultaneously listen on Spotify and scroll throughout internet without a hassle?
      At the end, have you ever experienced wifi connectivity problems?
      Thanks in advance!

    • @paaao
      @paaao Год назад +1

      @fapmashina1 No problems, except if you're going to stream content from it to a TV, use a chromestick, or intermediary device so that the odd resolution doesn't mess things up. I just bought one from one of my neighbors for $70. He got it as a birthday gift and hardly used it because he's an Apple fan boy and preferred his iPhone. This is SO much better than the Alcatel Joy Tab 2 I had until 3 months ago when the broken port stopped charging. I bought that one from some guy on the street for $20. I downloaded a few PDF novels and I'm satisfied with the performance. The Alcatel Joy Tab 2 has 189 ppi and this one has 216 ppi. "They" say if your going to use a tablet for reading books you need a resolution of 300 ppi, but it looks good to me. I usually take a 15 minute break after reading for an hour and I don't read more than two hours. The specs say this model does not have a headphone jack, but like the gentleman in the video there's a headphone jack on the top but when I plugged in my headphones I got no results. Awesome. I hope you enjoy it. One thing to keep in mind, I don't know what price you paid, but in the US, the Galaxy Tab A9+ recently released. They're released for the same retail price of 229 and it's been going on sale quite a bit. It's actually a lot faster than the A8. So if you ended up paying really really close to what you see the A9+ for, Don't be afraid to return it and get the A9 +. It's a lot faster. That's the main upgrade. It also has a faster refresh rate. The A8 is still good for the basics and it's good for basic stuff or entertainment. But it can slow down a little bit. I just wanted to mention the A9+ just in case. Enjoy whatever you get! Appreciate the comment. And yes, I agree. But the Lenovo M11 and Tab A9+ are both faster than the A8 and at this point I'd recommend them. I'm still okay with the a8 for very basic tasks but the A9+ has changed some things

    • @AndroidDigest
      @AndroidDigest  Год назад +1

      This would only work with capacitive styluses. Sorry for the late comment by the way. But essentially that means the styluses won't have an extra features. Like some styluses like s-pens can have special apps that pop up when you use it, you can press a button to erase things, or when it's being used it can reject touch from your fingers so you don't accidentally mess up your drawings. None of those features will work with this tablet. Instead you need a capacitive stylus, which essentially uses a stylus just like your finger, based on the heat from the pen/touch. Not from any digital connection. Hope this makes sense. Just search "capacitive stylus" on amazon and you can find some options.

      Someone else might be able to say, I wasn't able to test it. But I will say this has a USBC 2.0 port so it can't connect with a USBC hub or with a USBC to HDMI. So I don't think you can really use it as a portable monitor like that. It may work with some type of MHL adapter. I've heard those might work but I haven't been able to test it

    I am not a big fan of this tablet at all. Coming from a high end tablet, I just couldn’t stand the glacially slow start up and the seemingly interminable amount of time when tapping the web browser location bar waiting for the keyboard to pop on screen. Surprisingly though, it was really decent at playing Call of Duty mobile and streaming Xbox game pass. Weird! I got the 64GB model so I don’t get why it takes so long on the web browsing and basic stuff, but plays well enough on the gaming side.

    Old. Think old. Would you recommend this for your Nana on a limited income? If not what would you recommend? I can define the usage, no spreadsheets, no GTA, or anything immersive. Weather is really big with Nana. News. Facebook, RUclips , but not TikTok. Apparently TikTok currently spies on us. But she loves her internet. No dementia, I call her for help with my smart phone but I don't think Dolby sound and HD video is important.

    • @AndroidDigest
      @AndroidDigest  Год назад +1

      Yes. Definitely good for that use case. Just maybe bebop to get it set up. You can go into the settings and make the display size/font larger. You can maybe get her signed into Google play. Then download her apps she might like. The built in weather widget should be good. Put those apps on her home screen and help her get signed in and she would probably be very happy.
      Facebook does stretch out their app in landscape mode. So keep that in mind. It isn't super optimized. But it will work. She could flip it to portrait to get it to look better.
      But yeah. She will struggle like any older person to get signed into accounts and get things started. But I bet if you get things set up and put the favorite apps on the home screen this would be great for her
      Video is still full hd.

      To be honest, it can be. It's all about expectations as I said in the review. I would recommend, if you can swing it, to get the A9+. It released for the same retail price ($229) and has already been on sale a ton, and it's much faster. I reviewed it recently on my channel.
