Thanks for your review. Just bought one in 64 GB. It's my first Samsung tablet. I don't do any gaming, just shopping, banking, and RUclips. Should be a good table for me.
I went for 64GB. 32 is piddly, half of it is the operating system itself. My mum filled the rest with her cat pictures on her Ipad from many years ago, and knowing Apple, you can't upgrade it. Spend the extra and get the 64 for the convenience alone.
Fantastic video - so knowledgeable and focused on what really matters when deciding whether to buy the tablet. I have subscribed! Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
I got the A8 last week. Performance seems sluggish and sometimes doesn't respond or freezes up. Turning everything off doesn't help either. I want to love it.. I like the android marketplace app. I may return it and get the ipad9. I don't want to though ..but it has to run well. Thanks for your review.
I'm starting to care less and less about new tech coming out. I almost seem to be more interested in the presentation of the product by RUclips personalities. Like always you never fail to knock it out of the park. Down to earth, informative, and brilliant takes on todays tech.
Its at a point of diminishing returns when you upgrade, that's why they're so hesitant to bump up ram, it's one of the few surefire "upgrades" they can make.
Hello Ivan. Great review of this tablet. Based on your review I decided to buy this tablet this week. I believe for the cost it is the best tablet for me. Thanks ✌
Alright. I had a Galaxy Tab S2 I was using as an auxiliary tablet. It finally got too old. I did a factory reset, and half the apps that I mostly used on it couldn't be installed because the OS is just too old. So, I broke down and got the Tab A8. Yes, I know it's technically a downgrade from the A7, but because it is newer, it will get more firmware updates, and having an older version of Android is what made my last secondary tablet unusable. I already avoided any app that would challenge a weak processor on my secondary tablet. The dim and muted colors of the screen are not an issue for what I'm doing with it. It's very convenient for 6 use in bed when I'm watching RUclips videos or doom-scrolling social media because it's lighter than my Tab S7 Plus, and thus easier to hold over my head for a long time.
I also am switching from the Galaxy Tab S2. Because Samsung preloads so much junk on their tablets that you can't uninstall, with updates my tablet got to the point where it became unusable. I constantly get the message "running out of storage space. Some functions may not work", and believe me, they don't. This is so frustrating because if I could just uninstall the needless bloatware that Samsung stuffed onto the tablet, I'd still be able to use the apps I actually want on it. Anyway, though I didn't want Samsung again for that very reason, I did want a tablet of the same size as my old S2. It's helpful to know that this has worked for you as an S2 replacement. Thanks for sharing.
Don’t get be fooled from the transfer, you can only transfer the basic dates of the, but cause most apps seem to load more datas when you start the app, these datas can’t be transferred to the sd at all… So for small apps I think it’s a thing but for nearly every game it wouldn’t help in any ways… I think thats an very important point for this feature…
I just brought 2 of these tabs for my kids along with 512GB sd cards thinking they could download as many games and apps that they want but im now realising they can download files to the sd card wich is pretty useless as they just like to have lots of games wish I got the tabs with 128GB internal storage now as that probably would of still been enough but now they're stuck with 32GB internal and wasted 512GB external. Gutted
Yup, just because a tablet allows you to transfer apps to an SD card, doesn't mean all apps are actually transferrable.. Many apps are written to remain only on the tablet's internal storage, meaning that, even with an SD card, you can never transfer them off of internal storage to free up valuable space. Therefore, buy a tablet with enough internal storage right out of the gate, so that this does not become an issue. Also remember that when you buy a tablet, a chunk of its internal storage is already used by the system itself as well as any bloatware the maker installs. Samsung is a big offender when it comes to bloatware that you don't want and cannot remove. Their devices are full of their own proprietary apps, when most users would prefer to use similar apps from Google. Therefore, a 32gb tablet is useless over time for most users. Get a 64gb tablet at the very least to avoid running out of internal storage. With Samsung, I personally would buy only the 128gb version, because of all the junk they permanently pre-install.
It feels like there isn't a space in the world right now for an Android tablet that is not "budget" but still has a slightly smaller size. Don't get me wrong. I love my tab s6 lite, it's the perfect size, but I'm having trouble with some pixels, and I wonder if I would have the same issues with one of the higher end tablets. But I adore the size of the one I have. Spiritually this tablet feels like the successor, but the budget label makes me wary.
I also use S6 lite and I really love my tablet. Everything was better but after 6-8 months of purchasing, I can see the screen irritation of my tablet. If I use any app for a long time and then come to use another one, the previous apps display can be seen. For example if I'm using zoom for about 10 mins and go to chrome, I can see the slight shadow of the zoom app in chrome in the side but not in the middle. This thing was making me mad as the price was a bit high for me to buy. But then I switched everything in the tab to dark theme and then it decreased a bit but didn't go away fully. But other things are very good for me such as watching RUclips videos and binge watching dramas, attending online classes, taking notes etc. This tab is good for drawing and doing light professional works. I'll recommend this if you're okay with the screen irritation thing.
Could you please make comparison btwn Samsung A80 and moto g70 tablet. In India it’s would be highly watched and people are looking forward for such videos. Thanks in advance

That depends entirely on whether you think you need the pen. I prefer using a Bluetooth keyboard over a pen for taking notes in class. I'm honestly not sure which is better for video conferencing. Sorry.
I HAVE the s7 as my main tablet, and in my opinion, it's the best tablet on the market.I wish they would come outwith a comparable tablet with windows. Cheryl Lee, any apps and games you use require storage space and RAM, as does your device itself to function. Each device sold comes with a specific amount of internal storage space and RAM installed. In the case of these A8 Tablets, they are available with either 32gb, 64gb, or 128gb of internal storage and either 3gb or 4gb of RAM, and that's what you're stuck with for the life of the tablet. Also, when you receive the device, of those specified storage amounts, a good chunk is already used by the operating system and any apps the manufacturer pre-installed. Most apps pre-installed by Samsung (bloatware) cannot be uninstalled. Even if you do not want them and will never use them, you're stuck with them, and they continue to take up valuable storage space. Because of the operating system and bloatware already on the tablet when you get it, though you may be buying a tablet with 32gb or 64gb or 128gb of internal storage, you'll never actually be getting that amount available, since a good 10 to 12gb at least is already in use. As you add your own apps, games, and files in normally using the tablet, you keep using more of your available storage space. As you run out of storage space, the tablet will slow or cease to function. In tablets that can take an SD card, some allow apps & games to be moved to the SD card in order to free up the internal storage space that the app was using. Once you move it to the SD card, the internal storage space it had previously used becomes available again. You want to always maintain available storage space so that the tablet continues to function. The closer you come to using 100% of the storage, the more your tablet will cease to operate properly. It will become unusable. HOWEVER, just because a tablet allows you to move apps from internal storage to SD card, doesn't mean that an app can actually be moved!!! Some apps are written to stay in internal storage only, and cannot be moved to the SD card. If you can move an app, then great, but what you need to do instead of counting on that method is to simply buy a tablet with ample internal storage to begin with. Personally, because of all the bloatware Samsung stuffs on their devices, if you want to be able to freely add your own games and apps and still have the tablet function, I wouldn't buy less than the 128gb version. Yup, at least. And, with all of Samsung's added bloatware that can't be uninstalled, a 32gb tablet is useless, unless you only want to read email and surf the web. If you want to use any other apps and games, don't buy the 32gb. It becomes a brick.

For my intented usage (streaming, ebook reading, web browsing, emailing, zoom/Skype video calls) it is perfect! The upcomimg A9+ will have a snap 695 (+40% performance)... So what? The unisoc works very well already. Why should i ask more? To spend more than double for the same usage? Hahaahaha
The only one thing you need to know about this A8 - DONT BUY IT, it changes everyday so you will never feel confident in this tablet. Only thing I know about being confident, I am confident I ever laid eyes on this piece of junk and on top of that Samsung Help is WORTHLESS unless you like wasting time and feeling like you are losing your mind. NEVER EVER owned such a total ripoff till Samsung A8.
Yeah. Been using S6 lite for 4 months now. Its so great. The big bonus is the s pen. I write everything in it. And im a musician so very good to write on sheetmusic
I'm looking for an entry level tablet to watch movies, youtube, netflix (so widevine L1 is a priority) AND with headphone jack. Would you recommand this tablet? Or do you know something better, even for a little higher price? Thank you, I appreciate your videos
Be warned guys! If you are using WiFi at a long range from your router or if you want to be on the Internet on WiFi if you are out and about! Avoid this tablet at all costs. The WiFi signal is horrendous! Also if you are expecting great sound from this tablet when you are using your headphones then be prepared to be totally disappointed. All in all, I was completely shocked on how bad this piece of trash is and thankfully I am able to send it back to the seller.

So what? The unisoc works very well already. Why should i ask more?
To spend more than double for the same usage? Hahaahaha
Pls is there any sim slot
Pls is there a sim slot
Decent tablet let down by average speakers (compared to my M5 lite) and very short WiFi range.
I got one and on day 2 was disappointed laggy and the screen ain’t that great
Where did u buy?
The only one thing you need to know about this A8 - DONT BUY IT, it changes everyday so you will never feel confident in this tablet. Only thing I know about being confident, I am confident I ever laid eyes on this piece of junk and on top of that Samsung Help is WORTHLESS unless you like wasting time and feeling like you are losing your mind. NEVER EVER owned such a total ripoff till Samsung A8.
Comparing with s6 lite?
probably s6lite is better
A7 and A8 series more the normal use budget side
Thank you, I appreciate your videos
get base ipad. youre guranteed of better video watching experience, also you can get a used ipad pro. for much better viewing experience.
This tablet is perfectly fine for watching videos. Looks better than my laptop screen which is standard HD.
@@truthseeker6804 nah I'm good. Fuck apple

I have got Samsung tab a8 but in grey
Guys when the galaxy tab s7 will stop getting updates
Didn’t Samsung say it’ll get 3 updates?
They’re set for 3 major ones from the first version of Android that came with it
Yes 3 major android updates and at least 4 years of security updates.
@@IvanKam11 Thanks man. And really like the content
Why cant I post on my whatsapp status on the device
Sadly this vid doesn't tell me everything I need to know :(
Which SDcard does A8 support?
micro sd card
Honestly, I think Samsung overpriced the Tab A8 lineup. For the $270 64GB and $330 128GB Models, your better off buying an IPad for $60-$0 more
The screen on the A8 is one of the worst I have ever used.
i like my tab a7 better.
You're trying to convey alot of information in this video and your speaking way too fast for me to follow you.
Would you please slow down
Be warned guys!
All in all, I was completely shocked on how bad this piece of trash is and thankfully I am able to send it back to the seller.
why are you the only one saying bad stuff about it finally 🤔 i know what im getting
Wifi problems look into it. Do not buy.
