The queen angelfish are fairly common in that part of the world, but they are a pretty fish!

Bamboo & Wool thanks! It would have had eagle rays in if I hadn’t left a mask in the equipment room! We went back to get the mask and our friends who we were diving with had two eagle rays on that dive!

We have there many times over the last 20 years , but haven't done there in the last 5. How are the reefs holding up? They look pretty good in your video. So much of conzumel has been descimated by the cruise ships and others.

The reefs are pretty healthy and we think it is our favourite Caribbean diving destination for seeing such a lot of variety.

The lionfish are beautiful but they need to be removed. I don't see any nurse sharks. They are one of the few sharks that will eat the lionfish. If the lionfish are left to live they will eat all the other juvenile fish in short order and it will not look like this going forward.

That’s correct. We’ve never seen a nurse shark when diving in Bonaire and we have done 100’s of dives there. Areas in the. Caribbean where there are nurse sharks still have the same lion fish problem though.
