The craziest play I saw Smith make was going up at the goal line, making the catch, coming down onto the defender, breaks his arm that the ball is tucked into, switches the ball to the other arm, stays on his feet, and scores the touchdown. Unbelievable

He had 4,055 special teams return yards and 6 touchdowns, to along with his 14,731 receiving yards and 81 touchdown catches. Smith was even a pretty good rusher too, racking up 387 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. Smith's career total of 19,180 total yards is currently 8th on the NFL's all time list.

Teams generally don't have their starters on offense or defense do it because they are concerned about the risk of injuries. In the 1st one at the U of Central Florida he took a team that NO wins the year he got hire to two years later having a 13 and 0 team and in the bowl game they played Auburn who was the ONLY team that year to beat the National Champs, Alabama that year. And we are just about done with year two of Frost having one more game left for the reg. season. We only have 5 wins so far this year which is better than last year and we need one more win to go to a bowl game. The Last coach, Mike Riley was a nice guy but a CLUELESS coach and really destroyed our program. He really left Frost little to work with, And that is IF his kids stayed which most didn't. some even waited to quit until the season started or when they lost the starting job during the season. Our starters are almost half true frosh or sophs. And we have Jrs. and Srs. that do not start cause they are not as good as the frosh or sophs. He got his chance when Rodney Peete got injured and played very well for a few years until he injured his arm and had to have "Tommy John" surgery. He played 2-3 years more but he was a turnover machine because his throw strength wasn't the same.
What was so amazing about Smith is he was so short...comparatively. Megatron, Moss, Green are all all-stars but it’s a lot easier to snatch the ball out the air when you’re 6’4+ and can leap over all defenders. Smith had to fight harder for positioning.
