- My first TFF show. Will be in my memory forever. What a great band, great artists, it’s incredible how Roland kept his tone after so many years. Special credits for the female singer, being on her first show with Tears for Fears, kudos to Lauren Evans!
I was there too for this awesome concert (had the mega $$, Soundcheck VIP Package, Sec. 02, Row F, Seat 17). I was in the front row for the closed sound check. There were less than 100 of us there earlier in the day for that. When Roland proudly introduced their brand-new backup singer, Lauren Evans, he told us this was her very first live performance. She then proceeded to blow our minds with her voice! I yelled out to Roland, "Sign her up!"
Her voice here on "Woman in Chains" was spectacular. I still listen to this song now and then just to re-experience her amazing performance. But alas, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is my favorite song of all time (and always will be) ... so uplifting despite the shocking, apocalyptic lyrics. Roland Orzabal is an absolute genius of a songwriter!

Thank you for posting this!!!! We were there but were so in the moment that I forgot to take any video - as soon as I got home I wanted to rewatch it all. This is my favorite song! Appreciate it!
You just know a song is a masterpiece when your drummer is SINGING it while drumming,
in PARTICULAR slow songs with less emphasis on the drums Lol,
This band is Legendary!
