your canoe setup is sick man, so simple and it gets the job done. its very similar to the type of fishing I do here is australia with 22cm glidebaits for flathead and giant trevally (jack crevalle for u guys I think). this is the first time youve shown up in my recommended and its payed off bro this is some awesome fishing man keep it up. mad props to letting those giants go as well keeping the stocks healthy
I appreciate it! The canoe has come in handy so many times! Australia is a destination I definitely wanna go visit and fish! We call them Giant trevally too; We don’t have them in our area tho but we do have jack crevalle! Jacks fight crazy as well! I do wanna target GTs one day! I appreciate your words! Yeah we definitely gotta let these big ones go, so the future generation can fish as well!
I like your videos but would like to see shots/description of how you rig the various lures, i.e. size/type/weight of hooks, leader and style of retrieve
With sea walls I try to get the cast as close as I can to the wall and retrieve it fast! With docks and mangrove lines I try to skip em under the docks or mangroves and work it sporadically by twitching the rod and retrieving at a medium pace so it looks like a mullet scurrying away. Hope that helps.
@@ELPESCADOR_ I don’t have a kayak so I can’t really get to mangroves or seawalls. I fish the start on a creek in the open kinda. Should that change the way I use kt
You can try that method too at the opening of the creek or you can try casting the mini/lil mullet as far as you can; then when you start retrieving(slow pace retrieve) twitch the bait, let it pause for a couple seconds then twitch again and keep repeating! Cast-slow retrieve-twitch -twitch- pause - twitch-twitch- pause and then repeat till the bait is at your feet.
Buy yourself a trolling motor for that thing. It'll make your life a lot easier...
Might have to soon!

Dude lower that bass on that intro music! Geez, almost blew my speakers.
🤣🤣 next time
What do you do to work the lure do you just jerk the rod?
Yeah twitch the rod and retrieve the lure at a medium fast pace; that way it looks like a real mullet running away.
How do you use this? I struggle using it

@@ELPESCADOR_ is it supposed to flop all over the place? That’s what It did when I used it the way you said is just flop over and do twists
Yeah on the flopping part but it shouldn’t do twist, what hook are you using?
What size reel
Van staal vs 150
When you buy the van staal does it come with two handles??
