I’ve always like the idea that Pitou fashioned her puppet beast after Kite’s Crazy Slots ability because she admired him so much and wanted to fight him again. A lot of symbolic things going on with zombie Kite being puppeted by a more deranged version of his Crazy Slots beast.
I've always really liked Pitou. Extremely loyal, powerful and just cool to see in the spotlight. Pouf though... I've rarely been so mad at a character. I cannot think of a single time I enjoyed his presence except smiling at his death.

I know your baiting people by saying it, but I’ll respond anyways, because why not. Neferpitou was always the most interesting of the royal guards to me. Shaiapouf loved the king, but wanted him to follow the path he saw fit. Pushing and needling the king towards it. Menthuthuyoupi loved the king, but didn’t particularly care what he did. Not asking anything of the king. Neferpitou loved the king and respected his emotions and desires. She only wanted the king to be happy and by his own desires at that not scheming like Pouf or standing aside like Youpi, but taking a more active roll in doing as the kind wanted instead of just as he said or according to their own whims. Their love always felt the most genuine because even though the others seemingly loved the king just as much, Pitou took the most interest in his personal desires and emotions.
FACTS. It shows from her suggestion when the King asked them for his name, she said to just pick one that he's most pleased with- she cared for his personal wants and not just his role in their species.

Pitou was probably the saddest character. I wanted her to live in any capacity but she died. She got punished/died for doing her own thing. Her arc of like trying to do the right thing-saving a human life that meant a lot to Meruem-and knowing she will die/punished no matter what she did was like heart wrenching or empathetic.

I never understood the hate. I actually was more off putted by Gon acting like berserker gorilla and killing her in a far more tasteless way then she did killed Kite. Pitou was explained to actually act based on instincts like an animal and her predisposition to serve the king compared to the other royal guards. Making her actions much more sensible compared to the planned and thoughtful brutality of the others.
Regardless of what series or movie I'm watching, or video game I'm playing, I like villains more than protagonists. That cat is quite adorable even if she is the product of your worst nightmares.

Pitou was never once referred to as kare in the entire official release of the manga. I think people got the "kare" thing from a random datebook that wasn't even made by Togashi. At most they used boku. But if you want to go down this argument, then a lot of female characters in anime and manga use boku. Search up "Bokkuko" and you'll see it even has its own definition along with sub-categories. Diane from 7DS and 02 from Darling in the Franxx both fall under this as well. Should we start calling them guys as well? No, obviously not. They're still clearly girls.

Pitou gradually becomes remorseful for their actions, but is obligated to kill Gon for the sake of the King- their death was a tragic inevitability for the actions they took.

The juxtaposed story between pitou and Gon; pitou being born an insect with human consciousness turning herself into a protective being to save komigi whilst Gon a human turned into a completely animal who would murder komugi to take revenge. Love the fight between her and Gon it really humanized her and antagonized Gon.
I wouldn't call pitou the most hated, but she was definitely the most fearsome out of all the 3 royal guards, her first appearance, torturing pokkle, killing Kaitou. these were definitely one of the most intense scenes that I've ever seen in my life and made us wonder: if this monster was a mere royal guard, imagine how terrifying the king would be.

Shaiapouf loved the king, but wanted him to follow the path he saw fit. Pushing and needling the king towards it.
Menthuthuyoupi loved the king, but didn’t particularly care what he did. Not asking anything of the king.
Neferpitou loved the king and respected his emotions and desires. She only wanted the king to be happy and by his own desires at that not scheming like Pouf or standing aside like Youpi, but taking a more active roll in doing as the kind wanted instead of just as he said or according to their own whims. Their love always felt the most genuine because even though the others seemingly loved the king just as much, Pitou took the most interest in his personal desires and emotions.
FACTS. It shows from her suggestion when the King asked them for his name, she said to just pick one that he's most pleased with- she cared for his personal wants and not just his role in their species.

The character development of Meruem and Pitou, it's amazing tho, you literally end up feeling more humanity and respect in Meruem than in the association. Meruem started his journey as a villain and ended up as a fair and wise ruler, Pitou followed his desires so i can't hate them, amazing characters

Manga Pitou uses a feminine style of mannerisms and speech patterns overall but addresses itself as “boku”, which is the method typically used by young males. Also, when it gets serious, as during their fight with Kaito and adult Gon, its mannerisms and speech patterns change into a style that is typically seen as masculine. Furthermore, several other characters in the story refers to Pitou as “that guy/boy”, however Poufu refers to Pitou as “that girl”. Take from this what you will.

The manga does not use boku exclusively for males as some obvious female girls used it too for some reason, the anime officially decided it's a female and the name of the character comes from Nefertem an Egyptian god and Pitou which is a common French name for cats. Pitou was probably the saddest character. I wanted her to live in any capacity but she died. She got punished/died for doing her own thing. Her arc of like trying to do the right thing-saving a human life that meant a lot to Meruem-and knowing she will die/punished no matter what she did was like heart wrenching or empathetic.

Pitou was explained to actually act based on instincts like an animal and her predisposition to serve the king compared to the other royal guards.
Making her actions much more sensible compared to the planned and thoughtful brutality of the others.

Pitou was never once referred to as kare in the entire official release of the manga. I think people got the "kare" thing from a random datebook that wasn't even made by Togashi. At most they used boku. But if you want to go down this argument, then a lot of female characters in anime and manga use boku. Search up "Bokkuko" and you'll see it even has its own definition along with sub-categories.
Diane from 7DS and 02 from Darling in the Franxx both fall under this as well. Should we start calling them guys as well? No, obviously not. They're still clearly girls.

The juxtaposed story between pitou and Gon; pitou being born an insect with human consciousness turning herself into a protective being to save komigi whilst Gon a human turned into a completely animal who would murder komugi to take revenge. Love the fight between her and Gon it really humanized her and antagonized Gon.
