I thought you guys stopped making these months ago, they never show up in my feed until I searched it up to relisten to some older ones. Boy do I have a bunch of podcasts that last me at least 2 days lol
Of all the famous Reds, my favorite is Red Farmer. 1956 nascar modified champion; 69,70, and 71 xfinity series champion, 756 feature wins, still races today in late models driving the #97F long-lewis ford dealers car. Same number and sponsor nearly his whole career. We need a past gas on red farmer.
So there was actually a movie about the beginnings of NASCAR called "Red Dirt Rising" which goes over all of the stuff y'all go over except for maybe a few things.
It absolutely makes sense that chili dogs are the official food of NASCAR; it's Sonic The Hedgehog's favorite food! Also, can we get an episode on Tim Richmond?
I love that one of the factors as to how/why prohibition ended was because of the dust bowl and the great depression. It was like, maybe we can let them drink a beer or have a glass of wine because their farm blew away and are economically ruined.
I gashed my right foot really bad once when I was younger and had to drive for like a month and half with just my left foot. Its...a challenge for sure lol but definitely a skill that's nice to have
Raymond Parks - Patrick Wilson Red Byron - Kevin Costner Bill France - Len Cariou Red Vote - Tim Blake Nelson Lee Petty - Montgomery Petty Bill Holland - Bill Holland Tim Horn - Patrick Dempsy
The Ford Flathead was unique, being the first V8 block cast in one piece! It was the reason that Ford made the tits quote: no one could cast them in one piece! But mr. Sorensen, of FoMoCo, made it possible, and earned the nickname cast-iron-Sorensen. He is actually born in Denmark. It would be cool if you could make a podcast about another danish man, known as “one dollar man”, William s. Knudsen. He was a former director of GM, that made history, when helping American war effort in WW2!
Need to see the Show time Movie Moonshine Highway. Good Movie Randy Quide plays the Crocked Sheriff Career Jed has Supered up Lincoln and the Feds cant keep up with the car so the hire the fastest driver for Nascar Dayton to try and catch Jed with his 55 Chevy
I want to know how donut media came to be, aswell, others are asking the same thing I'm interested aswell, maybe do a short podcast or something explaining it
I've noticed you guys call it a handbrake most of the time, I thought it was an emergency brake in the states. Which I always thought was strange because if you get into an emergency and have to pull it, if you dont know what your doing or what to expect your still gonna be in the emergency you'll just be going through it sideways or backwards now 🤣
I think Americans who have been taught to make a 'handbrake turn' probably start calling it that. I don't drive fancy so I still call it an e-brake. Oh, and in case you weren't just being funny: the 'emergency' refers to when you park on an incline. You set the e-brake as an emergency backup to ensure your parked car won't roll.
@@januaryoctane5384 cheers bud I always wondered why it was called an e brake, like I said if you use it in an emergency you could make it things way worse if your not ready lol. That makes sense, in the UK its mostly manuals although they are dying off now most new cars are semi auto now with either flappy paddle shifters or just up and down on the gear stick. So do you not get told to use your handbrake aswell as park as part of your drivers ed and test? Overkill I know like you say park will hold a car fine unless ots on an incline. Think its just done here for standardisation because it mostly manuals people take their test in.
@@MrScotty5877304 I saw family over the holiday weekend and was a bit surprised that most say that they don't say 'hand' or 'emergency' brake, but call it a parking brake. That actually makes a lot of sense. When I took driver's ed we had 4 cars available but only 1 manual. Those wanting to learn to drive stick had to request it when they signed up for the class. The only thing I remember about the emergency brake (aside from the bit about parking on an incline) was a lesson about trying to stop if the breaks don't respond: try to pump the brake pedal, if no success switch to 2nd, then 1st, then very slowly apply the e-brake, and if you're going downhill on a highway look for an emergency ramp!
James is literally the type of person who would post a Craigslist ad of a job that would say “2yrs experience minimum” like HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO GET EXPERIENCE WHEN I DONT GET HIRED! 🙄🙄 Hate ppl like that.... For me, if I was a director, I’d get younger people mainly bc they are cheap. And also coachable
The only problem with this story is all this started first in north wilkesboro north Carolina and junior johnson is the one that started the bootleg move the people you are talking about copied him

I appreciated the sponsor segments this week 🤗😄
Day 5 of asking for an Up to Speed on how Donut Media came to be
I agree with this. Let’s make this happen
YESSS
Yeah like a documentary podcast episode on donut that would be so cool
They should do that on 10million subs
2:28 instant + Street Cred for James with this quote 😄

Glad I got to watch this before it gets taken down to put the ad version up
I was wondering why there wasn’t any 😂😂😂
As a RUclips premium user. I can’t stand the ads they put in the videos.
2:58 you forgot the part where Vin Diesel yoinks dude's bottle of Corona to give to "The Buster", that shit was awesome
the donut crew has become my hands down favorite group of cool dudes on the youtubes

I live in Dawsonville and it’s pretty historic for the area. They have a museum that shows the history. Pretty cool.

Odd comment but there were no ads this episode ??🤔
Best podcast intro in the history of podcast intros ever, cut! Cut! Love it keep it up love it!
The last american hero is a great movie about bootleggers and the beginning of nascar.
Y’all should do a Past Gas on Abarth. The time for Abarth models in the US is very limited, only the 124 Spider now offers an Abarth trim.
James Pumphrey for Colonel 2021 😃

You guys know a shit ton of actors
I’m hoping to believe the casting bit was some extravagant bait since Ryan Reynolds is the only actors name that I recognized

To hide a gun id have it disguised as a pistol-grip shifter, with everything but the handle hidden in the boot.
wait what was up with James' camera for like the first 3rd of the show?
Idk, maybe its memory full or busted lens.🤔
So James is nekked drinking a box of wine off camera

I just seen the booze from bo2 so I clicked
It should be cast by Jon Bernthal. The end.
