I own a lot of SVOL, excellent risk/return so far, with very high yield. HIGH is a High Yield with fairly stable Price movement. Low volatility, high distributions, Price will not move much, a good place to hold cash while I wait to buy something else at a better price. Collecting 9%+ while I wait., good risk/reward.
This video was so helpful. I knew about SVOL, but didn't think to check their entire catalog of ETFs until this video. Wow! Some real innovation here. One interesting experiment is to back test a portfolio with their entire catalog. Decent returns with extremely low volatility. A real standout here is PFIX, which performs nicely on its own but is also negatively correlated with equities, allowing it to seriously boost a portfolio through rebalancing. I've decided to make that 20% of my portfolio moving forward. Thank you!
Currently (April 2024) SVOL is still unique in the actively managed ETF arena. After some investigation and own modeling I blew some bucks on Simplify's flagship.
Just some quick rematks: - in your opinion better ETF investing or active management ( options) - considering we are at the end of the economic cycle, there will be most likely huge changes in world currency reserve. Can you suggest 3 to 5 ETF to properly diversify worldwide Thanks, and btw really appreciate the value you give on your videos.
Excellent Review! Simplify has some very interesting ETFs. Capital Group ETFs have only been out over a year but they have done well. I would also love to see this for the most popular/largest BDCs.
What would the results look like if you take out the special 'dividend' from PFIX: Jan 26, 2024 $0.07 Dividend Dec 26, 2023 $34.27 Dividend Nov 27, 2023 $0.10 Dividend Oct 26, 2023 $0.10 Dividend Sep 27, 2023 $0.10 Dividend Aug 28, 2023 $0.10 Dividend Jul 26, 2023 $0.10 Dividend Jun 27, 2023 $0.10 Dividend May 25, 2023 $0.10 Dividend Apr 25, 2023 $0.10 Dividend I think I'll stick with SVOL
With only 12% short May VIX + 70K VIX 50 calls + net long Treasuries, SVOL is positioned to profit if VIX goes above 50. In the best case scenario, we sell all 70K calls for $30, giving us a profit of $210M, which is +28% and after the vol shock subsides, we are +28% + bond income. In the worst-case scenario, the long VIX calls expire worthless, and after the vol shock, we are even + bond income. And, if VIX goes to 80, the current short May VIX will have a temporary drawdown of around 15-20%, and this will be softened by the bonds and long VIX calls.
Great video loyal subscriber do you have a video showing a 10+ percent portfolio with consistent dividend payouts possibly containing MLP’s Reits, bdc, preferred stocks etc thanks
I fail to understand the juvenile mindset that considers bring second to comment as some sort of accomplishment. But I suppose life is simple for those who still live in their parent's basement. 😋
It’s not that serious buddy, you forget to take your meds today? I wish I lived in my parents basement, my 1 million net worth would probably be closer to to 2 million

That PFIX had a MASSIVE December dividend of $34.2665. Whereas the other 11 months only gave dividends of $0.10. Who knows if they can do that again.
Thank you for showing this review by provider. Can you do other etf providers? VictoryShares ETFs?
If I recall correctly, SVOL includes HIGH, AGGH and CYA. Good income with stability and insurance. I'm holding a position.
Excellent job creating this analysis!!
Thank you. I was thinking exactly as you mentioned. SVOL is a good way to diversify my portfolio. I enjoy your content.
I have about 50 video tabs open to watch. I get a notification for your newest I Tested All videos, and it goes to the head of my queue!
PFIX price crashed, Is it over, or a good time to buy the dip?

CYA...why lose later when you could just lose now?
For the algorithm 👍
