    Thank you so much for touring this cabin! It's quite small but it seems to be well-designed, and I'm happy to see there's a window to the outside world! I'm taking my first solo cruise on Virgin next April, but I ended up getting a regular Oceanview room because the solo cabins seemed awfully small. That said, I might consider it in the future if the price is right. Thanks again!

    • @SIGCruiser
      @SIGCruiser  Год назад +2

      Exactly! It’s small, but well designed. And honestly, I don’t spend a lot of time in my room on ships. I could do a solo cabin again but my concern is value. I’m seeing instances now where solo cabins are MORE than double occupancy. I look at both before booking. Thank you so much for watching! ❤️

    Looking at this same cabin on a future sailing. The practical me says this is enough. The bougie me wants the balcony and hammock. It's pretty much a $1k difference. I can buy a lot of other stuff with that and I'm not going to sit in the room! That's what I keep telling myself... I appreciate your video!

    • @SIGCruiser
      @SIGCruiser  Год назад +3

      So glad to hear it helped! It was a cozy room but definitely worth the $1K save! You can feel the difference from a normal size cabin but you still had room to move around. I felt the ocean view was great for having natural light in the room. The window is not situated in an easy spot for long-time views. And the view overlooks a small walkway (crew only access) and the ocean. I would definitely book it again if it saves me $1000!

    I love that you were able to experience VV. It’s my favorite line and I’m a solo traveler as well but I always get a regular cabin. The solo ones seem like a closet and I like the to see the ocean.

      Yes! Great points! After all of my solo cruises, I wanted to experience a solo cabin just to see what it was like for myself. It was do-able to me. Thank you so much for checking it out! ❤

    Hey Sig. Ooo. Room tour. Well it’s for 1 so guess it works. Closet space ok for 1. That cubby space in the bathroom by the toilet; was there a lip? Looks like an item can roll or slide off into the toilet 🤔? The bed looks bigger than a twin but smaller than a full. Thanks for sharing.

    • @SIGCruiser
      @SIGCruiser  Год назад +3

      There was no lip on the cubby but there was a small space between it and the toilet. I think an item would hit the floor if it rolled off. I didn't have a rollable item but maybe laying it down sideways might help. I agree about the bed size! Exactly!

  • @MsQueenRo
    @MsQueenRo Год назад +2

    It’s actually not as bad as I thought. I’ve seen other cruiseline solo cabins and they seem more tight than this one. The fact it was an oceanview opens up the room more.

    • @SIGCruiser
      @SIGCruiser  Год назад +2

      Yeah it was small indeed. But I didn't feel squeezed in. But probably because I didn't spend a whole lot of time there either. If somebody stays in the room a lot, I can see where they might feel a little boxed in. But yes, definitely not an interior only for like 7 days.

    Thanks, this has been really helpful. In June 2026, I will be in 9382A, identical but on the Port side. My first solo. My first Virgin Voyage. Cheapest Alaska cruise I've found. In the forecastle (pronounced "folksul") where I belong. Better love RED!

    Thanks for sharing this! This is the exact cabin I'll have for my May sailing from Barcelona. I was wondering what this particular room looked like as it seems to be a slightly different shape from most of the Solo Seaview cabins which are all the way forward on the ship.

    • @SIGCruiser
      @SIGCruiser  Год назад +1

      Yes it felt like a triangle inside room. It was nice and comfortable. I enjoyed the room. 😊 So glad you found this helpful!

    Is this considered a solo category oceanview cabin?
    Is there a regular solo cabin with no window?

    • @SIGCruiser
      @SIGCruiser  Месяц назад +2

      Yes this is a solo ocean view cabin and they do have solo interiors as well.

    Thanks for this review! Did you find that it was a really long walk to get to all the places around the ship, being at the very front?

    • @SIGCruiser
      @SIGCruiser  Год назад +2

      I always book forward cabins, no matter the size of the ship. Personally, I never find it a long walk. But on this size ship, I don’t think it would make a huge difference to anyone else. Thank you so much for watching! ❤️❤️❤️

  • @Ilovemesomemj1

    Do you know where it was located on the ship? I booked a cruise with them next year, a solo room and it says that its under the pool deck. Do you think that I should request to be moved now? The cruise won't be until next September. Thank you for your feedback

    • @SIGCruiser
      @SIGCruiser  Год назад +4

      Mine was on deck 9 at the very front of the ship. The floor above me was all cabins. The pool is on deck 15 and there are solo inside cabins beneath the pool. If you are in those, I'm not sure of the noise level for the room in the daytime but if it's anything like my cruise was, there's probably little to no noise at night. The pool deck was empty and quiet as early as 9 pm on my cruise.

      @@SIGCruiser thank you for the response. I can see how the evenings would be quiet, but I wonder about the mornings on sea days. I also don't have the solo room with the window. I have the regular solo room. I'll figure it out, and I love all of your videos. Keep posting, and I'll keep watching
