When I make a mushroom gravy similar to this one I blend half the onion and mushrooms. It thickens the gravy and intensifies the gravy flavour
I expected them to do that.
I blend the entire batch so it’s a real gravy . No lumpy gravy

I added porcini mushroom powder, per Dr Greger, then put this over a baked potato! Delish.

Love your channel. I will be purchasing your cookbook soon. PLEASE can you let me know what kind of nutritional yeast you use? I want an unfortified one and there are not many organic, unfortified ones. I am being too fussy, probably. Anyway, if you can let me know what you use, then that may be the one to get even if it is not organic. You two are the best.

Jane this Mushroom Gravy recipe looks awesome and sounds wonderful. But I don't have oat flour... could corn starch or arrow root be used instead of the flour?
If you have a blender and rolled oats, just pulse them in the blender until they reach a flour consistency.
Was wondering if you amazing ladies (or anyone on this channel) had a GOOD recipe for a pie crust! I have tweaked my mothers amazing Pumpkin Pie Recipe but have struggled for years with the crust! I've googled, looked on FOK, nothing tastes great! True convessions...I end up....gasp...buying a gluten free frozen one by Wholly WholeSome! I know so much OIL! I want so much to go vegan. When I try I get gout. This has been going on for almost a year. Most of the time I'm in a wheel chair. I have kidney disease and my body doesn't brake down the purines that's in fruits and vegetables. I'm so disappointed in myself. Is there anyway to get around this. I want to get healthy and not hurt animals.🙏

Our type 1 diabetic from birth son had grown up plant based and then needed home dialysis and there were some foods he was used to eating that he and others with kidney disease cannot have. He has since had organ transplant surgery.

When you fry any food, you destroy all its goodness! You should especially not fry mushrooms-alternatively, put them in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes. That way you keep all of their anti-oxidant properties. Also Garlic has Allicin in it which will be destroyed once you start frying it ,so this recipe has no antioxidant properties anymore, as you’ve destroyed them all in the frying, even though you’re not using oil you have destroyed all the goodness! This is total madness!!!😩😩😩🤷🏻
