Marine One and the US Army land for President Biden's 'rock concert' visit to Ballina 🇺🇸 🍀 🇮🇪

- Aboard Marine One, US President Joe Biden lands in Ballina for his grand finale speech at St. Muredach's Cathedral in front of thousands. His entourage arrived ahead of him aboard three US Army Chinooks while he traveled on a VH-60 Whitehawk with the US Marine Corps. Also seen is his empty motorcade repositioning for his arrival.
The entire town of Ballina was decorated with US and Irish flags, lasers shone into the sky and rock music played out through the night of the US President's speech.
The President started his trip to Ireland with remarks on the Good Friday Agreement's 25th anniversary in Northern Ireland, before heading to the Republic of Ireland. He had an afternoon in County Louth, a day in Dublin and finished off in County Mayo on Friday.

Thank you for the excellent footage & distinctive sounds of the Chinooks silhouetted against the night sky 👌Slighty off topic: I remember my first experience of a Chinook up close & personal. 1993; I was 17 in the Army Cadets at Sennybridge on Ex. We watched the wocka wockas ascending and later almost invisible to the naked eye, high up in the sky but we could still hear the sound of the contra rotating blades. Then we saw the HAHO jumpers and their canopies getting closer and closer. A while later a group of these Pathfinders filed past us with all their kit & bergens fully laden. What an awesome memory and inspiration! 💪
