Loïc and Yorick SIMON are two multi-instrumentalists, making most of their instruments themselves from recycled materials and diverted objects.
Although having different artistic backgrounds, these sound artisans resemble each other through their sensitive, playful and instinctive musical approach.
In 2018, they merge their universes and create the duo “Simon's Project”, in a way, an experimental musical laboratory.
Through the fruit of their research, they offer us a sound journey characterized by deep and hypnotic melodies, atypical songs, with an abundance of instruments of all kinds. (various percussion, musical saw, kora, accordion, clarinet, machines…).
A performance in which a soaring and bewitching music is distilled which sends us into the musical stratosphere.
Loïc SIMON
Musician since the age of 7, turner and miller by training, sensitized very early on to the fight against waste, it is at the crossroads of his passions that Loïc forges his destiny as a musician tinkerer recycler.
Determined to make a living from his passion, he operates in several clarinet or saxophone groups and for several years has been making musical instruments with recycled materials to lead workshops and musical awakening sessions.
In 2016, he created the “Jardin des Sons Recyclés”, an interactive installation of dozens of instruments and sound structures that he walks through festivals and various events.
Yorick SIMON
Rich in a musical background starting with the complexity of the piano and the accordion, Yorick invites you to discover the multi-instrumentalist universe of "La Caravane EcoLozik".
A playful and instinctive approach to music, with instruments such as the harmonic flute, the musical saw, the arc en bouche and other diverted sound objects.
