Somebody tried to explain away the whole he gets on the school bus at the end of Jeepers Creepers 3 thing. By saying he rode there in the bus took part in the basketball game but then his dad came and picked him up after the game so he didn't have to ride on the bus. Now I guess he didn't tell him about the creature because he figured they wouldn't believe him although this does seem to be a local legend around there. You know in the grand tradition of Derry Maine and IT.
If someone wants to argue that then that would mean the ending has literally zero meaning lol. If he wasn't on the bus for the Creeper attack then it's pointless.
Everyone keeps saying Victor Salva did "the thing". And for years, I never knew what "the thing" was. It was like a secret everyone thought everyone knew, but it end up being just some vague running trivia no one knew. But some brave reviewer, a while back, FINALLY told what he did.
That being said excellent review. I really have no idea how this channel isn't larger. You are thorough and really good at reviewing movies. I like this channel!

He was the true creeper all along, it just wasn't a secret.
I was shocked at just how unbelievably bad this sequel was. It's like they didn't even try, it really felt like they were like "What would make the Creeper scary again?" And someone was like "Remember when we gave him magic Predator weapons?" "Why don't we lean into that, make it perpetually daytime and make his truck into the Magic School Bus but with edginess".
I don't know how much had to do with lack of budget but you're right, all those ideas are just the strangest things they could have chosen to focus on.
Ngl I turned this off the first 5 minutes of the movie, I could not do it, so to this day I haven’t finished it 💀

@@thereturnofdarthcaedus I haven't seen Killer Klowns, it's hard for me to pick a single favorite horror but I love Nightmare on Elm Street, Child's Play, Saw, It Follows, The Babadook to name a few.
@@BoxOfChocolatez i also love the nightmare on elm street frenchise i never watched the 2010 remake tho i was never a fan of jeepers creepers due to the guy who created was a true fully blodded criminal yes the guy who created jeepers creepers was a criminal
@@thereturnofdarthcaedus Yeah I know, I talked about it in these reviews but I watched the first two Jeepers Creepers a ton as a kid before I ever knew that so I can still enjoy them.
Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2 are my all time recommended movies. When I see them on tv/ amazon prime/ whatever, I always watch. I recommend it to others. Some of my favorite monster designs and practical effects. Why would they RUIN such a beautiful 1 and 2 movie? i'm so sick of this obsession with trilogies.
I'm seeing Reborn tonight but don't have high hopes. Probably would have been best to just leave the first two alone.
I know I seen this movie, but my memory seems to have completely blanked it out, seeing this review is giving me flashbacks. My memory must have blocked out the trauma.
Only excuse you can make for The Creeper not using its scream to break the bus glass in 2 (other than its an ability Salva only thought of by the time 3 was being made) is that it was having fun spending that whole time slowly tormenting and freaking out the students trapped in the bus, kinda like how IT likes to scare its victims over a long period of time to make them "taste better"
Unpopular opinion, but JC suffered from a common horror pitfall: the first two Acts were good, even great, but the wheels came off in the third. I was so disappointed in the first one I never bothered with the rest. YMMV.
Yeah basically wing bat creature does all his attacking in broad daylight subtlety you are no longer allowed here and a guy that has a crush on a girl running around helping her get feed for her horse.
He was definitely trying to remain secretive in the first movie, but here he's just prancing around in the daylight and everyone knows about him anyway lol

Nice review! Enjoyed the part blasting the main character of the flick, the hilariously nonsensical and over the top "Batmobile on crack". The amount of time spent on that and the sheer stupidity of how the truck was portrayed made my bladder boil.
As if the creeper needed that to begin with...

JC 3 is a damn tease; we get no backstory. It's also somewhat lore breaking with the truck and how overpowered JC is.
It's a shame because I love the truck in the first one and it's tainted by this one.

Especially with how hard this was even to get out and to be honest it was probably the only thing that a studio was going to accept and he was probably desperate to do it
Yeah the theater experience I was so disappointed watched it on blu ray and was better watch at home I’ll just say
But it biggest issue is that you said it doesn’t add anything to the story or advance it wants to ambiguous even the story is about finding his origins and we get just ancient and like we all could figure that out
Cgi truck bombs and cgi truck crush awful just don’t make sense
Breck as the creeper is still good here and is trying for what he is giving
Also apparently the love interest teens didn’t get along on set either so that makes even less chemistry for them
I gave it like 2.5/5 and that’s being kind just because of the creeper and there some nice shots of him even in the day shots it was cool

The first one is a Horror Classic....well, the other two are crap! Not the worst in the world but far from good....what a shame, there was a possible franchise on the horizon!
