Just got home - I work in community mental health services over here in the Netherlands - and it's quite necessary to drive around in my car all day. The HSCC CDs are playing in my car Stereo - colleagues amazed and wanting to know who this band is. In my team we're all pretty much Darren's and Con's age, some a little younger some a little older. And I reckon so we all share the same love for the same era of music. Crisis averted and cruising to the next one on the sweet tones of the HSCC is something that has helped us through these past many months. Riots in the streets, vaccines probably still a long ways away we know something will pull us through. That's you guys! And then this week's track: it's a good one! An excellent one. Beautifully sung by the Bad GIrls - you guys bring a smile to my face. The percussion, the brass, the bass, the guitar (hey is that a smile? 😉 ), keys, the drums. I am sitting here dead tired, a beer in hand bopping my head to the beat and a big fat smile on my face. Playing it again and again. The playlist forever expanding. Thank you guys for sharing your passion, the music. Kudos!
There are beautiful concert halls in the Netherlands where HSCC could perform in the future. Personally I have been in Eindhoven enjoying good music but I can't stop thinking about what a concert would be like at the Paradiso Theater in Amsterdam.

I’m a 70’s rocker at age 64 but I just love you folks performing any song. The singers, the band, everyone is a pro at what they do. You sound great, you look great and you provide such quality entertainment. Better than anything on TV over here in my embarrassing USA, If you ever have the desire to tour here in the USA please come to Oklahoma, the wife and I will be there, HSCC ROCKS
As a player myself,, one of the big things I appreciate about HSCC is their huge talent pool! Reminds me of the old school funk bands of the 70s and 80s with a 1,000 members on their roster! I think this is what makes HSCC such a superior cover band. They could assemble the perfect team combination for every song. Great strategy and outstanding product! Wish you had open tryouts. Would be worth a trip to Australia! I would definitely love to meet Kat Jade. Big fan! Oh and Nikki! Can't forget Leslie and Pina. Oh, and the amazing Sarah Lloyde. Her rendition of "Alone" still blows me away. Hope I did not forget anyone. And of course the band kills every time!

If you can show me a musical group that can cover any pop rock, disco, soft rock, power rock ballads, pop ballads, jazz funk, pop dance, pretty much any top 40 radio song you can imagine and absolutely nail every track please let me know. What's more, brings in the views this insanely talented group brings in on social media week after week...seriously please let me know. I guarantee you, you won't find one. You can play a 2 hour loop of all of HSCC's tracks in a bar or lounge and no one would even know it wasn't the original artist. That's mind blowing! No one in the world like HSCC!!

It’s the truth, you are so talented! What you achieve with your voice in a variety of songs is simply sooo good and enjoyable. We noticed that you are in almost every video, that’s not a mistake. We hope HSCC will be able to tour the United States in the future. You should also have your own solo career in my humble opinion.

Another banger. I played the trombone in my high school band, so naturally I focused in on the trombone player to make sure he hit the right notes. He nailed it. I was dancing and sliding my imaginary trombone.
I’m a drummer and I strongly agree. Drummer is really talented as well. I’d like to hear them get to stretch out a little bit, but get that this isn’t really the forum for long drum jams.

@@GabrielLago1 : the mix , with HSCC being a group very limited in resources compared to megastars like Chic, Ross et al, comes very close to the mix philosophy adhered to by Rodgers & Edwards in the late seventies and early eighties. After Edwards passed away Rodgers lowered the dynamics of the bass in the mixes he produced. So I guess your remarks are a little harsh with regards to this very talented amateur cover band! Furthermore RUclips is not an ideal medium to publish music.

Between the wide mix of singers and musicians we get to see each week, the musical range of what HSCC can cover while still keeping its own identity and sound is unmatched. Yet another superb performance all around, and using all three vocalists for the intro of the song was great! Hope to see you in the US at some point!
When I saw the message posted on Nikki's channel today titled "Recording today" I imagined that something great was to come ... What an interpretation! Professionalism in musical performance and the incomparable charm of the singers. If later SmackOn Content publishes a video "Behind the scenes" it would be the best.
Listening more closely, Con is an outstanding bass player. Great sound from his amp, but the runs and the way he knows how to play just the right notes. Love it. Thank you HSCC

Have you done studies on them or interviewed them to find out if they have soul values or not? Have you developed the ability to read someone’s mind and emotions? Could be several reasons; stupidity, narcissistic mindset, possibly even at the verge of being a psychopath but I am not going to make an ignorant blanket statement that any of these reasons connect with you because I simply don’t know. However, it certainly isn’t a positive thing now is it? Before you start tossing out your personal opinions about soul, you need to realize that your opinion is only what you feel and think. Not really. It doesn't even come close to what Bernard is playing. This is a perfect example of 'too much'. He also completely misses most ghost notes and the chucking technique on the D.
Awesome!!!! When I was 12 in '72 I discovered the Beatles and became a lifelong fanatic. In the early '80s I discovered Elvis Costello & the Attractions and became a lifelong fanatic. About three weeks ago I discovered HSCC. Con, Darren, and all the others, I'm a lifelong fanatic. I even love the songs that I wouldn't normally listen to, like this one, but this is great. I'm impressed and can't wait till you guys come to the USA. I know you get requests all the time but I'd love to hear Con sing Blue Day by Mi-Sex. I checked back the original with Diana Ross, and I must say that the HSCC version is far superior: Hats off! Now, the Bad Girls, James Muller on guitar, the background horns, and Con on bass of course would be incredible with another Nile Rogers/Bernard Edwards classic: I Want Your Love, by Chic!

I think it's interesting how you very rarely use close-ups in your videos. Except for an occasional solo, the videos are shown in a continuous shot. The whole band is the protagonist. This band has built a following in a very short time using a mixture of members and doing concerts with youth groups. They went from doing videos with 6-8 people crammed into one room to this stage studio. Darren, the keyboard player, is also the engineer and he has a channel showing how he edits the music and videos. On the band’s website you can buy the digital tracks to mix for yourself, and they live stream concerts so people outside of Australia can see them live. I’m pretty sure you’re not seeing the whole picture if you’re just looking at their clothes. They’ve been making things happen during a global pandemic and earned a loyal fan base in the process. You might want to reconsider your views to see the big picture.

If you read the comments on their past videos many people said they found HSC during the quarantine, and during the global pandemic when people are sick, losing jobs, this band has entertained people, become more successful, made money, continued to build their fanbase and get more subscribers on the band channel and each member's individual channel. You seem determined not to give this band any credit for doing anything positive, and that's your right, it's not against the law to be wrong or stupid.

@@GabrielLago1 : the mix , with HSCC being a group very limited in resources compared to megastars like Chic, Ross et al, comes very close to the mix philosophy adhered to by Rodgers & Edwards in the late seventies and early eighties. After Edwards passed away Rodgers lowered the dynamics of the bass in the mixes he produced. So I guess your remarks are a little harsh with regards to this very talented amateur cover band! Furthermore RUclips is not an ideal medium to publish music.

Between the wide mix of singers and musicians we get to see each week, the musical range of what HSCC can cover while still keeping its own identity and sound is unmatched. Yet another superb performance all around, and using all three vocalists for the intro of the song was great! Hope to see you in the US at some point!
When I saw the message posted on Nikki's channel today titled "Recording today" I imagined that something great was to come ... What an interpretation! Professionalism in musical performance and the incomparable charm of the singers. If later SmackOn Content publishes a video "Behind the scenes" it would be the best.

Do you know any of the people in this band? Have you done studies on them or interviewed them to find out if they have soul values or not?
Have you developed the ability to read someone’s mind and emotions?
No, You’ve done none of these things and have none of those abilities so in essence you have no clue if these people have soul or not.
... but what you have done is to have interrupted a positive opinion of someone else, now why would you do that?
Could be several reasons; stupidity, narcissistic mindset, possibly even at the verge of being a psychopath but I am not going to make an ignorant blanket statement that any of these reasons connect with you because I simply don’t know. However, it certainly isn’t a positive thing now is it?
Before you start tossing out your personal opinions about soul, you need to realize that your opinion is only what you feel and think. About three weeks ago I discovered HSCC. Con, Darren, and all the others, I'm a lifelong fanatic. I even love the songs that I wouldn't normally listen to, like this one, but this is great. I think it's interesting how you very rarely use close-ups in your videos. Except for an occasional solo, the videos are shown in a continuous shot. The whole band is the protagonist. This concept is wonderful. As a musician myself, I love this approach.

This band has built a following in a very short time using a mixture of members and doing concerts with youth groups. They went from doing videos with 6-8 people crammed into one room to this stage studio. Darren, the keyboard player, is also the engineer and he has a channel showing how he edits the music and videos. On the band’s website you can buy the digital tracks to mix for yourself, and they live stream concerts so people outside of Australia can see them live. I’m pretty sure you’re not seeing the whole picture if you’re just looking at their clothes. They’ve been making things happen during a global pandemic and earned a loyal fan base in the process. You might want to reconsider your views to see the big picture.

If you read the comments on their past videos many people said they found HSC during the quarantine, and during the global pandemic when people are sick, losing jobs, this band has entertained people, become more successful, made money, continued to build their fanbase and get more subscribers on the band channel and each member's individual channel. You seem determined not to give this band any credit for doing anything positive, and that's your right, it's not against the law to be wrong or stupid.

As time goes by this band is getting more successful despite bad economic conditions and high anxiety levels from so many people being sick. Can you say the same?
