Use acetone (nail polish remover) to soak your bearings in, and shake them around in the acetone to loosen all the dirt. After about 5 minutes of doing that just set them on a paper towel. Once dry re-lube with speed cream and pop those caps back in. Good as new, if not better!

Holy shit. I took a brake from the skating scene and when I come back you’re at 160k. Damn I was around when you were at 10k. Congrats on the milestone.
I washed my bearings in water before putting them in rust converter- strong acid solution. As long as you dont let it dry with some residual water on it it's ok.
Having 2 decks helps .My newest(ish) 2014 vert set-up is pretty much pristine, usual grind trials and general skating marks.. while my 2006 street deck is trashed. Not a single bit of maintenance. A super loose, splinted, razor burned to hell death trap. Got so used to how it rides, I wouldn't dream of changing a single component of it. Famous last words?!
Nahh mate, Risers are for rising the trucks of course, but they are specifically for preventing your board from stress cracks, they are literal bushings for between the board and trucks. Also Rails do protect the botton of the board a lot more, they also help with stability and rigidity, they lessen the amount of flex in the center of the board, and further towards the nose, and tail, as well as preventing the area between the trucks from getting soggy longer, and stopping the board from breaking for a lot longer from multiple things if the rails go slightly past the inside face of the truck base, from just drops, to even just simple board slides. Those things are up to personal preference of course, but for myself, I need boards to last me as long as possible, and those things allow me to skate them for about two, two and a half months, as opposed to about a month without, just what I've found these past 20 years Great vids mate, always super nice to watch with others while getting hyped to go out and skate
Lol I don't maintain bearings I just buy 10-15 bones reds and replace them every few months, sometimes I'll just buy new wheels too, like I'll buy two sets of wheels and 4 sets of bearings and call it a day
Wheels I can understand because once they wear down to a certain point they can make tricks way more difficult, but bearings? I know reds are cheap to replace, but I’ve had the same set for like 2 years, but of bones speed cream and de cluttering and they still serve me well....each to their own I guess haha!
Another tip: Always try to land on your bolts, especially if you're doing big sets. This will prevent the board snapping on impact. Easier said than done though.
