That last part about giving your old deck to kids that need a new one immediately reminded me of that part in Tony Hawk's Underground when Chad Muska gives you his board after you do tricks in front of him.
Tip: buy a cheap little bottle of Loctite liquid glue and when you get a little dent or crack in your nose or tail, drip in a little of the glue between sessions to help keep the moisture out and maintain solidity, pop, structural integrity. I think it's totally worth it for the $5 bottle of glue to extend the life of your board by up to 4 weeks.
I get about 2-3 months if I’m skating a park. But once I get razor tail I give it to the kid who clearly is in need. Look out for the next generation!!Love your channel bud!
there’s a program at my local skate shop where they take your old decks for u and give them to ppl that can’t afford them. it’s nice to know that somebody’s making use of things that you might just throw away
Ok, THANK you! My deck is 4 years old but still in good shape (I have a pool board that’s been my go to for a while) and now I feel justified to get a new deck!
When I was in Cuba where there are no places to buy boards locally, kids would use a piece of plywood to connect two parts of a snapped board together. I also saw people skating boards without noses. As a result, Cuban skaters almost never kick out on tricks because it's difficult to get a new board if yours breaks. It really makes you appreciate how accessible boards are here.
I honestly need a fresh new deck cuz the one i have was sitting in between a cabinet and a chair in my backyard for 3 years and it still look good and it was also in rain it’s honestly miraculous the fact that it’s still a reliable bored
I would like to find a method to strengthen the lower side of the tail of my son's board. After a few months it is worn out, so it doesn`t pop as good as at the beginning. So he had to buy a new one for 65 Euros. I thought of a strong tape that is smooth enough that he can still perform all the tricks and to keep his new deck and pocket money longer.

I reckon its not as critical with a skateboard its used in a different environment. If a snowboard broke some place in the middle of nowhere lets say steamboat prow on rainer then along comes a storm and no way to get a helicopter up there it could get you killed.
Good advice to young kids who love skateboarding but can't afford to buy a fresh Deck every month or so would be this; try to save your money whatever allowence you might receive, sacrifice cool graphics prints 50-60$ for a plaine blank deck around 25-30$ you can have the same nice concave deck and pop for about half the price. So every month 1/2 get a blank and keep fresh pop.
I get a new deck about once a month, but it’s never from any long term wear, I always snap my boards either down the middle or on the nose. Can’t remember the last time my board lost its pop

It was tough for me to try and learn to kickflip I cant even shuv it.. idk it is just tough maybe I am doing it wrong but the board wont 180 spin I can ollie though :) I only know ollie fakie ollie sex switch manual (kinda) variations of ollie and manual and easy tricks. But the board is also very weak since I kicked it after I got hurt while trying a trick and it since it was already weak it is basically broken since it feels weak when I stand on it in the middle. The board was been making the soggy sound. It just seems like this was a practice board where I made all the mistakes to learn from... havent told my mom I basically broke the board she wouldnt get me another..
Is it good With raiser tail and 4 chips for skating around 4 months of skaiting 2 hours a day a little bit street but most skatepark or shoud i get a new one
There's no set amount of time a board should last because there's so many factors and things that can happen when you're skating. Some people destroy a board in a day, and some people have decks that last a year because they only skate smooth skateparks. But with that said, if you're skating street everyday for a few hours, 4 months is a long time for a deck to last in those conditions. As far as 'if you should get a new one or not', that's on you to determine if the board is hindering your skating or not. 👍 - Tim
