Dave gives the universe a soul and a story teller that the people at Disney just don't have. It obvious that he needs to be running Lucasfilm either with John Faverau or under John so he can stay creative .
Without clone wars I would have never gotten into star wars. His perspective of the characters has that bit of soul to it that other directors just miss. I have to say a couple of my favorite characters influenced choices I made that affected others in real life. In a way the plot of clone wars mirrored a part of my life. Now that the republic ended I get to see how they handled things when everything was over for them to. Without Filoni there would be no star wars in my mind. We all have a choice #7567

It gets said a lot, but I don't think that makes it less true. Filoni and Favreau both plucked Star Wars from the brink of collapse. They gave it CPR, whacked out the defibrillators, plastered its boo-boos, and they've both spent a long time carefully, gently steering it back to where it needs to be. Where it deserves to be. Maybe sometimes it's not always a straightforward path, but that's how it goes. Some you win, some you lose. But one thing is certain, and that's that its always on the way up with this team.

He’s already the executive creative director for Lucasfilm. I think that’s one of the highest creative positions he could be in. If you’re talking about being like the ceo, that’s more of a financial producer thing, where he wouldn’t be as involved in the story

He’s been so busy (as they state in the video) creating these new shows like Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi, Ahsoka, etc to probably have time to oversee TBOBF finale etc. Let’s hope and have a bit of patience that everything else Disney now produces is of a high quality.

I never had much opinion one way or the other about Ahsoka. I liked her by the end of the Clone Wars movie. I loved her by the end of Season 1. Ezra kind of annoyed me at first and from time to time all the way through Rebels, but I assumed that was the point, he annoyed the Ghost crew, too. I don’t pay attention to the chronic complainers, are they really hating Omega, too? I like her, I love her bond with Hunter and especially Wrecker.
I love Ashoka immediately. She intrigued me. Love Omega too like a lot. Still don't like Ezra. Probably because of his hair, voice, and the line delivery. I don't know, but I really, really tried to like his character.
Filoni and Favreau deserve all the praise and more. They are true Star Wars nerds, including voicing multiple characters in their shows. And only true Star Wars nerds who are massively talented like these two should be creating SW content.
This man is the future of Star Wars. Literally the apprentice of George Lucas, you can feel the same passion for story telling and film making that George has coming from him.

In Dave Filoni we trust. Ahoska series I am excited for as well with it also serving as a continuation of Star Wars Rebels and will feature the return of Ezra Bridger as well with Mena Massoud playing the character but the actor is being coy about it. Hayden Christensen hinted on Darth Vader appearing in Ahoska series so that will be really interesting especially both of them having a history from Clone Wars and Rebels.
Filoni and Favreau have totally redeemed this franchise and are amazing. Also the perfromance of Ewan as Obi Wan has been so moving and just phenomenal acting.
I was in kindergarten when I saw the clone wars movie and began the clone wars show. Now I’m a sophmore in college and filoni heavily influenced my love for Star Wars.
I appreciate Filoni wearing the original Star Wars logo now that Disney and Lucasfilm is surreptitiously replacing the classic logo. They need George Lucas and his legacy forgotten, even knowing they have a hard time doing that. Eversince seeing Filoni’s name on credits in TCW movie back in 2008 really gave me hope that the Star Wars stories he’ll make will be epic. When we had abrupt end to CW (Season 6?), I still held on in Rebels knowing that even if this show feels very different from CW, it still will be an amazing series. Fast forward to now, being able to finish CW, Bad Batch entering season 2, upcoming Tales of the Jedi and having creative involvement with the live action series, I really am happy Filoni became the successor to George Lucas. Star Wars is in good hands.
Dear Mr. Filoni, in case you read this: You once said creating the Mandalorian was like your older brother took all the cool Star Wars toys, and you had to play with what was left. I loved that approach! And I love the show!!!! Many of those "minor characters" have so much to offer. And perhaps you could add "Maris Ferasi" - a female human smuggler and a Rebel at heart, but also a friend of Thrawn's to the picture? I always loved her.
