I’ve seen him , worked with him in the ring, he has and is one of the greatest Rudos for the fans but for the wrestlers he is a wrestler’s wrestler. He hands down one of the best Basers Los Angeles ever had. He came from a strong crop. And he’s a definition of a Ring general. Captain. Great job on doing your research mark he’s a Los Angeles living legend.
I've been a professional wrestling fan my whole life, I started watching when I was 5, and I'm almost 24 now. I've always been so captivated by the real life emotional stories that these guys tell in the ring. There is nothing fake about it, there is just something magical about being able to follow a conflict of wills as it exists within the squared circle, it is pure inspiration to all who adore it, despite the fact that it is understood by few. Thank you Bobby, and keep doing what you do best😃😃
I love how people in the comments feel the need to say "it's fake", like they just discovered fire. Oh no, so maybe TV shows and movies are also fake? Who knew!
I watched wrestling occasionally on weekends with my grand parents, lol. My Nana loved wrestling and believed in it 100%. I can still hear my father, "Mom, it's not real, they are acting." She would argue back, funny stuff. Years later, a friend of mine explained to me the athleticism of wrestlers and how dedicated they are. Great interview! 💙
When I was a kid my dad used to drag us to wrestling matches in Chattanooga, TN. We also had to listen to it on t.v. every Saturday back then..he loved it. I thought it was funny when you said your father would argue that it's not real because we used to tease my dad and tell him it wasn't real. He would argue that it was. I grew to hate watching it. Funny how I'd give almost anything to have another day with my dad just to watch wrestling with him.

Much RESPECT for Supernatural !!!!! All the hard work , training & commitment shows his true passion for his craft !!! Many Thanks for your interview & inspiration 😺
Solid interview. Kinda refreshing to see someone other than an addict or career victim who refuses to get therapy and thus change the way they think and subsequent behavior.
Wow this man was great. So articulate and clearly a very good and grounded individual. Wish him all the best. Thanks for the eye opening intro to Lucha Libre
Supernatural: The boos are my applause. 👌 What a character. I can't help but think of Nacho Libre - one of my favorite movies of all time. It's so cool how you added your photos at the end, Mark.
Watched the interview from beginning to end. Would've been cool to ask him about his best/ hardest matches, what he's learned from being a wrestler/wrestling coach,etc...
Great interview. The term "fake" is really a misnomer. Yes, the outcomes are predetermined, controlled and the participants are working together in a cooperative fashion to tell a compelling story in order to get the audience emotionally invested. However, the laws of physics do not change just because one is involved in a pro-wrestling match. Gravity is still gravity and Newton's 2nd law of: Force equals Mass times Acceleration is still a physical reality. A 200 lb human being who is flying 12 feet in the air above a cement floor is at risk, as is the opponent being tasked with breaking their fall. Gymnastics is not "fake" just because the gymnast performs a preset routine for the audience. It still takes athletic ability to perform the moves properly. It is much more difficult to make it appear as if you are hurting someone, while actually protecting them, than to actually hurt someone. I have always appreciated the athleticism in Lucha Libre. My only "criticism" of Lucha Libre is that it focuses more on the 'high-spots" than the story-telling and psychology. More down time between spots to let the audience absorb what is happening allows it to "mean something" and also adds to the longevity of the participants since they can actually do less physically (reduce wear and tear), while telling a compelling story.
Claiming OG status because I began watching La Luche way back in 1970 as a kid with my grandma. Mil Mascaras was my favorite. I can also remember Freddie Blassie because he was great at being the "bad guy."
This guy is good! Great storyteller! Really passionate, he seems like he takes care of his opponent. He knows how the industry works. Good interview, SWU!
The passion he has is fantastic in such a difficult industry to get to the top. He's 100% correct about getting over, entertaining, involving the fans, etc....best interview on this channel. Thank you, Mark!
