  • In this video I started to port this TRX450ER Head. As you can see I started on the intake. Been super busy in personal life too! Sorry for the long wait on the videos to come out.

    If you plan on re using the valves I would avoid the mallet method, I learned the hard way that It can bend valves lol

      Believe me, I am not going to re use the valves. At least not the intake valves I am replacing with Fearra's. That's also why I balled up a rag or and put it between the combustion chamber and the bench when you do this, I might have left that part out.

    Hi I have a valve spring compressor and my intake valves came out with it but when I tried the exhaust the spring won't compress I feel I'm going to break something, do you think I mallet method will work?

      Ball up a rag and place it in the combustion chamber of the head on a flat surface and then use a Hammer or Rubber Mallet with a 17mm Socket, place the socket over the valve spring and firmly hold down and smack the socket with a hammer a couple time the keepers should pop loose. Hope that helps!

    Why do you drill down the guide, what does the guide do

      It allows me to Blend the Aluminum and Guide into each other which allows air to flow over that area much smoother. Check out my newest video you'll see what I am talking about.

    Do you cut the seats when you install new valves ?

    • @trxtech3010
      @trxtech3010  3 года назад +1

      Yes you have to. The new valves come with a perfect 45° angle on the bell and the seat needs to have that perfect match to make a seal and so they don't wear prematurely.
