What makes them sound so good is they've fashioned their style in the 60s, 70s rock style. Sounds raw and awesome. I'm on a Black Keys binge right now.

Hands down- the best version! The H77 Harmony and that clean tone with his Muff on the Solos - GAWD! This version rocks out so much because it also has the most raw feel of the other versions out there! Love his improv solo as well, when it was played raw and unruly!
My mother bought me Slider when I was 12 years old, it's a very risque album for a 12 year old, but what it did was give me joy everytime I hear Bang A Gong or Telegram Sam. She liked soul music which now I listen to with a new appreciation. Music has the ability to transform you, if someone can be overjoyed by Seals and Croft or Justin Bieber then so be it. Eventually they will listen to something else.

I heard these guys were a Led Zepplin clone band. I heard 3 songs so far. I don't see that strong of a comparison. What I did see was a he'll of a band. I heard 3 songs & there's no cookie cutters. Cool vocal. Solid instrumental & catchy tunes. They got the X factor. Their revitalizing a Rock & Roll that sorely needed it. Bravo !
I recently, on Monday, my birthday had front row tix with no GA, front row got to go up to the partition and we were 3 feet away from the stage. Needless to say, I now have one of Patrick's drumsticks. He chucked it right to me! Best Birthday EVER!!
