    I'm 8 weeks into my season but we've had a few games canned so we've only gotten 6 games in. My team is 4-2 and our losses have been pretty close games as well.
    My 3 ball hasn't been where I want it to be but other than that I'm really happy with my performance so far. My scoring is around the same level as last season but much more efficiently while I've been doing a lot more around the court, in particular with guiding 2 of our teams younger players. Hopefully we can push for the championship this season

      First off, congrats on the opportunity! Got into it with a learning mindset. Don’t worry so much about your performance, but worry about what you can learn from the experience. And of course, focus on the things you can control, not so much on scoring or making 3s. Be the hardest worker, loudest talker, most eager to learn and listen to the coaches.

      @TuckerRichardson I know, but i feel like I maybe did this too much lately. Great video,watching from the UK. How do I balance being aggressive and playing for the team, because on my current team and previous teams, coaches think I just play for myself because of my eagerness to shoot. However I don't want to become a non factor in the limited minutes I play by being passive. Most people on my team say this is part of being a young guy on a semi-professional team.

    • @TuckerRichardson
      @TuckerRichardson  21 день назад

      The way I think about it, if the "right" play is to be aggressive for yourself, then do that. If the "right" play is to create for a teammate, then do that. Don't get worried about how many shots you are taking as long as you are trying to make the right play as often as possible.

      Maybe you do need to channel more of that James Harden issue. Listen, you can't be scared to shoot. Missing shots is a part of the game of basketball, every single player does it. So don't be scared of misses, try and embrace them because it is normal!

    • @TuckerRichardson
      @TuckerRichardson  23 дня назад

      I'm really sorry to hear this. Stay focused on what you can control. If you want to get back on the court as quickly as possible, you need to stay consistent with the rehab process. This doesn't just mean the specific exercises for your injury, this also means getting good sleep, eating well, staying mentally engaged with basketball. Also depending on what your injury is, you can continue to work on your skills. Maybe you can still get shots up or work on your ball handling, or at least spend the time in the weight room getting stronger. I hope some of this helps!

      This is something you need to train. You can't just expect to get in a game and automatically have a quick release if you have a slow one when you workout.
