Another thing about Hermitcraft: when people get involved in prank wars or PVP, generally both sides are very clear it’s all in good fun. Like the Turf war, for example. When scar dies in the vault, even though he’s annoyed for losing his stuff, you can hear the audible smile on his face for having been bamboozled. When they covered the perimeter, and Doc is swearing revenge. You can hear the audible grin on his face looking out over the perfectly normal terrain. Everyone knows it’s all in good fun, and even when there’s a genuine accident like the tunnel bore incident, most of the hermits know how to take something like that and turn it into content rather than hold a grudge. On the flip side, servers like the dream SMP don’t really acknowledge the role-play aspects out of character (unless you’re technoblade, which might have been why he was so much easier to watch imo). Yeah - Guudeboulderfist actually started Mindcrack Season 1 as a singleplayer world before SMP was released in order to prepare. When SMP came out, he immediately started Mindcrack Season 2 specifically for content creators and brought other players in like Jsano19 (the inventor of pranking as opposed to griefing). Later, when Generikb tried to join Mindcrack, Guude basically said, we don't he spots right now, but there is nothing stopping anyone starting their own SMP server for content creators.
I think hermitcraft only had 2 dramas in its entire runtime 1 being generikb trying to re enter the server And 2 a member from the old seasons being accused of something that i cant remember
another big part of Hermitcraft success are the seasons which gives the players a lot of creative freedom. Like take Grian. Season 9 = Peace love and plants season 10 = rugged fisherman who built a shrine to a mending book + a bureaucrat in the permit office also if I'm not wrong to add someone to Hermitcraft it has to be unanimously approved by all members
Season 9 for G was more of a nostalgia season. Plus, he and fWhip were working together to make the Rift crossover happen. Peace, Love, and Plants was more Mumbo's theme in season 8, the season Pearl and Gem were added to the server.
@@ECSDaemon I wouldn't neseccarily say Season 9 was a Nostalgia season. The only thing that was brought back was Grumbot, from Season 7, and even then it was used as a device for a totally NEW story, instead of fanservice. The little lore tidbits we got that enhanced the story of S7 were amazing though, I'll admit that.
Grian has helped out a lot with this. Many of the server wide drama was started by him, and he always makes sure things are fun and not serious. Along with this, he created the life series, which meant that if there were members of the server that wanted a general fight and survival type thing, they could join that SMP. Because the life series has an end, it’s clear that all of the things that happen are just temporary, and many members end up becoming allies with someone that killed them the season before. Even during these short seasons, going over to the members channel and the hermitcraft videos really show just how much these people are friends, and hold no grudges
I think one of the reasons why hermitcraft lasted so long and is still going is because the members don't take wars seriously. Everything is for fun and games, no grudges on others. Dream smp and other similar smps also have wars, but sometimes it goes too far to demotivating the members, and making the viewers treat the other side as true enemy. It just goes serious so fast. Grian always causes war, but every war is all fun and games. All of the hermitcraft members say to the viewers that the war isn't really serious and that the viewers shouldn't treat this seriously. The wars are also not that insane (like blowing up someone's base, or burning all their items, or killing all their pets). Rather, they're tame and funny (like placing a ton of boats on bdubs's town but still helping clean it up, or fighting doc by making a silly slimestone machine. They're also not violent (killing each other with op weapons, using end crystals, using pearls, cobwebs, and all other pvp tactics).
yeah i agree, the members and viewers are both mature enough to realise that they shouldn't get mad or be mad at others because of a minecraft game and rather treat it how it should be treated which is just as a joke!
Yeah, a good example of this was during the S7 Mycelium war where Grian *repeatedly* stressed that it was all in good fun and not meant to be a serious conflict, even telling his viewers NOT to send hate towards the other side.
The fact that I recognized every hermitcraft clip and identified which season it was from and whos pov it was and what time period in the season it was :'D Also- Etho joined in season 3, and was absent from season 6, so 😅
I started watching from season 8. And I love the interaction these creators have. It's like just friends hanging out, doing pranks and just making their own thing all in a centralize location.
@@obvlogan I also the fact they fix their own prank's collateral damage. Sometimes it doesn't work. But still they help each other out cleaning up the mess. Remembering the Buttercup and DocM arc. LOL!
Grian bring so much to hermithcraft when he joined in season 6. I think he is pretty much the equivalent of technoblade in hermithcraft, being the driver of many events throughout the season.
I think another reason they avoid conflict so well is because they're all either builders or redstoners, possibly both. While they can be good at PVP or other competitive aspects of the game, all members seem to share a like of making grand projects. Since they all have projects on the server they aren't inclined to start conflicts which could damage their builds or take away from time they could be making stuff. Basically, they're more builders than fighters, although they can fight... **cough cough** Lord Grian Dreamslayer
Watching Hermitcraft brings me both joy and great sadness. The Joy is that it shows just what is possible with Minecraft, if you're surrounded by people who have that level of dedication... The sadness is...knowing that when I tried to start an SMP, all of my friends bailed on me because they didn't have any sort of dedication at all... I would love the chance to play Minecraft with the Hermits. Xisuma's advice was, "Start your own Hermitcraft." I tried and it failed...It's just a bitter pill to swallow knowing that I'll never have friends like the Hermits... ...That I'll probably never BE friends with the Hermits.
That is a very good point actually. Xisuma's ''make your hermitcraft'' advice, no matter how much of a positive morale, inherently doesn't work unless you have a lot of extremely dedicated friends, which, a lot of people don't. Hermits just got lucky to have one another, but we aren't that lucky.
Hear me out... Maybe instead of talking to already existing people, you try to find someone with as much dedication? The Internets definitely not safe and don't talk to old men who want feet pictures but I'm sure there's people like you somewhere on here
I completely understand where your coming from I've always dreamed of creating an smp like hermitcraft or just being a minecraft youtuber in general However I lack the friendships and overall confidence to do so I've always struggled with friendships and tho I have people I talk to I've never found someone who truly shares my interests ...I'm talking to much, look my point is I completely understand where your coming from and how you feel and it's good to know that your never alone there's always someone somewhere out there that feels the same way you do don't be afraid to reach out ...idk what im saying I'm not good at this-
There was a video with Xisuma's advice to "Start your own Hermitcraft" and in the comments I found a group, and spontaneously we had our own little minecraft and discord server. It was a good time for a few years and I think 4 "seasons" but eventually it fizzled out, everyone involved just had college and work and they were busy. But I made friends in that server in 2020, and even though we're not playing minecraft much these days, we still talk frequently. I guess the point is, don't give up on maybe one day stumbling into something cool, and hopefully it will last a good while and bring great memories to carry into new stages of your life : )
@@pikum2272there wasn't a crossover but I think pearl was in hermitcraft season 8 at the same time she was in empires season 1! I think maybe geminitay was too, but I'm not too sure.
Don't you love when a video named ''How Hermitcraft became unstoppable'' has only 40% of it entire runtime talking about Hermitcraft? That aside, it's a decent and concise documentary video, however I'll mention a few bits of wrong information: *5:27* There were definitely WAY more than 5, plus you forgot to mention GenerikB himself, the founder of the server. *5:48* Tango wasn't added in the 2nd season, the first season he appeared in he was just a guest to build an iron farm. He got added quite a while later. *5:53* _Wrong,_ season 6 only added Grian. But that one addition alone was far more than enough for the server to get the admittedly gigantic boost it got. The three members, Doc, Impulse and Etho were added in season _THREE_ *6:35* No. Hermitcraft _DID_ add a large number of members every season very early on when it was still starting out, but after Season 5 or so, the influx of new members really slowed down, without about one member every two years or so. Heck, seasons 7 and 9 didn't even add anybody! Your points about why Hermitcraft has stood the test of time though, are very correct. Hermitcraft chose stable and consistent popularity over getting _unimaginably_ popular and viral only to die down because it has nothing else to offer.
By the way, you show that season 6 was the most popular season in a part of the video, when it is in fact season 7, with Grian’s first episode sitting at 19 million views! Obviously not a big deal, but I think it is interesting how popular Hermitcraft was over COVID. Another interesting fact is that on TangoTek2 (Tangos second channel), there are around 20 multiple hour long livestreams with millions of views of his game Decked Out (a mini game on season 9). Anyway, sorry for the essay lol.
@@eduardpeeterlemming yes, but we all know that DO2 surpasses the first version so much that it is now just the official version of Decked Out. Just look at Tango’s livestream titles, he doesn’t call it Decked Out 2, he calls it Decked Out.
Thank you for TfC mention. And another point- even when he died, it didn't kill the server off for good which i think nicely shows how the hermits got together
I think the reason I love Hermitcraft so much is that its just a bunch of friends playing Minecraft together, no insane roleplay, no bad blood, (almost) no drama, and the drama that does happen in the server isn't taken overly seriously.
Fun fact: hc almost died when the original founder left but xisuma not saved it by taking the role of Admin . Since he is there hc is what it is today so shoutout to xisuma
the server started with an insane player count in season 1 and was created by generic b. those 6 you listed are only the ones that are still there to this day. generic b went on to join mindcrack where docm77 and vintage beef are from, leaving hermitcraft in xisumas hands. which is a big part why it is still auround to this day. xisuma is just magic social glue personified
I think it's worth noting that these gimmick pvp smps like Lifesteal were likely inspired by Grian's Third Life SMP. A series that is intentionally designed to be short-lived fun for both creators and viewers. Grian took what was great about Dream SMP (chaotic pvp roleplay) and made it less toxic by framing it as a battle royale contest: a game that can be equally as chaotic but is all in all just for competitive fun. Where dream smp decided to draw out the conflict to cause more fights in the long term, we weren't really there for the story but for the drama (let's be honest, none of those kids weren't shakespeare). Third Life and its variants hasn't lasted as long as the hermitcraft smp, ofc, because it can only last as long as grian thinking up of a new concept for the next season but there's something about the short season content that doesn't let the conflict simmer or be taken personally by viewers and letting them know that this isn't to be taken seriously. If these conflicts were drawn out to a longer season, it could be likely that the fan base would tskr it out on the players or player's characters due to their impatience of moving the story along. But the fact that the players are at a ticking clock, plus the general consensus that these seasons will only last 8-12 episodes, it's a lot more fast paced while giving the player's clear motivations through whatever gimmicks there were for every season.
Another reason I think Hermitcraft is so strong is because it is family friendly but to a point where older and younger people can both enjoy the content. Also, everyone on Hermitcraft understands that conflicts that arise on the server stay within the server and dont let it bleed put into real life affairs.
#1 on trending! Agreed, I see many videos like this with different points and arguments, and we all have to agree that the HC community is one of the best out there. Whether you make Fanart, (like me) Animatics, videos, or just friendly conversations, it grows more and never really falls back. We are lucky to have the hermits :D
Consistently is key, really. And they have enough hermit interaction that viewers like myself end up following along with more than one hermit(currently 6 for me) so when a hermit does take an extended leave like mumbo has done, we don't abandon hermitcraft. Season 9 saw mumbo do the least and partake in mostly nothing, never even finish his base... but it was without a doubt the most insane season for me even though I started my hermitcraft journey with mumbo.
One of the hermitcraft members (Grian) made the "life series" it is kinda chaotic, but its REALLY interesting and funny, there is a 6th season in the works rn im really hiped, and you cant leave the session unless you can't make it, so it has ppl active every single week. (Oh btw when i mean kinda chaotic i mean really chaotic)
I think there's also something to say about how some people do enjoy some more lore-heavy things and dramatics as well....so they can get that with the Life series, since they have a lot of overlapping players. The Life series tends to be a bit more dramatic, but because you have Hermitcraft alongside it, it's easy to see how these people are genuinely friends and having fun with one another, instead of fans getting lost in a fantasy. The Life series itself I think has also contributed in recent years, since I know at least for me, I first watched the Life series and then switched over to also watching hermitcraft because I enjoyed the creator's content. The Life series definitely hasn't been around as long, but I think that both Hermitcraft and the Life series balance each other out in a way.
I feel like one thing that hc did was add grain which actually made it even more fun (imo) yes he is the reason of wars but still those wars aren't dramatic they are pranks like how doc got pranked and most of the hermits act like siblings towards each other even if some of the creators left fans of hc still know how great the smp is :)
With the few wars caused (grain)everyone knew it was light hearted fun and not that deep. They wouldn’t go destroying the whole sever just because of it And something else that makes hermitcraft different from other smps is that it family friendly because like the dsmp badboyhalo would try to get people to stop cussing but failed meanwhile hermitcraft I can’t remember anyone dropping an f Bomb. Everyone on hermitcraft are also close and in the eps the hermits would normally chill with the other hermits without an aurgment
Well good luck choosing who to watch there’s like 19 members now, typically ppl only watch 1-3 creators. Mumbo and Grian being the most popular as well as interacting with each other the most. But fret not! For some kind fans have taken it upon themselves to watch every perspective and create an informative news show recapping every week called simply “Hermitcraft Recap” if you are interested in keeping up with everything going on.
@@obvlogan Google GenerikB, Jessasin, Biffa... Heck, you even forgot about MindCrack. You'll get what I'm saying. Engagement is one thing, blatant lies, are another. Since this video is showing up in people's feeds, there are far knowledgeable people, who might humble you in your journey. You're the type of a reporter that Tucker Carlson hates. Be Well.
You said unique? Lifesteal was based off Grian’s life series, which was based off Demise, a hermitcraft event. I haven’t finished the video. Oh. You don’t fix it.
The reason why Hermitcraft is successful because it feels like they are friends who are playing games. Not content creators who are together for just the benefit. I mean you can frequently see them play other games. GIGS js a fine example of their friendship.
I feel the need to say, Doc, Etho and Impulse didn’t join in Season 6. In fact Etho wasn’t in Season 6. All 3 joined in Season 3. Was that a brain fart where you said 6 rather than 3?
I think another reason for the success is that they are season based so they are consistently doing new things so that it doesn't get boring. There has also been a lot more turnover in their history than the video suggests, you can find a Hermitcraft history video on RUclips, it gives the scope of who has played and in what seasons and the reasons they left and the speculations if no reason was given.
It's because the people on the hermitcraft smp are adults that live a life and function in harmony with society and fellow humans while remembering to touch grass daily.
Hermitcraft became a safe space for me after everything with the dsmp and later the qsmp. No drama, no hate, no creators turning on each other, just fun vibes. I hope it stays that way. Love the creators. Wish it was those creators I got attached to first instead of the other servers.
I personally enjoyed hermitcraft more than dsmp due to the fact they weren’t actively destroying/vandalizing (blowing it up) each other’s builds, it just made me sad when I see builds others made getting destroyed for the laughs
This video honestly has a lot of misinformation in general, like how it says the server started with 5 members (didn't) and when people joined/left the server etc. Also mindcrack wasn't mentioned at all despite completely unrelated SMPs being mentioned I think you should have done better research before making the video so hopefully in the future these things don't happen
Exactly, videos like this, even made with the best intentions, infuriate me so much. How are you trying to make a 'documentary' on an smp you honestly know nothing about
I love how you took the overused "creep" "ped0" labels on thumbnails and replaces them with positive words like "perfect" and "innocent" bc soo many ppl think drama is the only way to get clicks.
“Creators like mumbo jumbo… all creating consistent content” just gonna ignore mumbos months long breaks from content creating in s8 and s9 I guess. But for real I think that he’s able to do this and just come back to hermitcraft speaks a lot for how good of a server and community hermitcraft has. Also I forgot who did create hermitcraft but it wasn’t xsumavoid, he just took over ownership in s2 after the creator left the server, and s1 consisted of a lot more ppl than listed it’s just that those are the only ones who stayed.
also, everytime a Hermit takes a break in season none of their stuff or builds are trashed or their shop profits stolen. hermits understand that real life happens and sometimes players need to step away
i can appreciate this content but it feels as though the main focus of this video was the history of SMP’s as opposed to what made hermitcraft such a dominant force. plus, a lot of the information about hermitcraft seems to need some double checking. in the future, it may be a good idea to go back and forth between the falls of what previous smp’s have experienced and the positives of hermitcraft, instead of waiting until the 5:28 mark to start talking about them when the video is only about eight minutes long there is some amazing potential here and you’ve got a compelling storytelling style, but i encourage you to edit your scripts more in the future so your content can soar
@@illustrator_ivy1498 thanks a lot for this feedback i really appreciate it. I'm quite new to this style of content so i havent gotten too good at it yet but ill take your feedback into consideration with my future uploads!
The hermitcraft starting section is wrong. Season 1 had a lot more members than you said, and was started by Generikb, who was actually rejected seasons later after asking to join again.
Cool video topic, but for a video that is centered around hermitcraft it's a little weird that you spend half the video talking about other SMPs. Plus, these were all relatively recent. It would have been really interesting to go further back and learn about other, older SMPs such as mindcrack. Also, at 5:27 I think it would have been better to say that these are the current hermits who were in season one, as the way that you have it right now implies that these 5 were the only original members, when there were a lot more. Additionally, I think it would have been better if you showed more footage from the earlier seasons when you were talking about them, instead of just showing season 10 footage.
Hermitcraft or empires being great smp close knit of people who are friends , others names fun craft , cute craft , kingdom craft etc wholesome smps with names like smallishbeans , laurenzside, solidarity, yammy , dang that’s a long name , fwip , etc making it fun and chill to watch
The first five you mentioned for hermitcraft, they arent the founding members. They are just current hermits that joined in Season 1. Hermitcraft really started with Generikb (founder), Xisuma, Biffa, Kiershar, Red3yz, 777Static777, Hypno, and Sokar.
Everyone in the comment section has been saying this but, one thing about wars in hermitcraft is its for all just fun and games and laughs, no drama, no dramatic story, no nothin', but the wars was just there for the members and the audience have a good time, unlike dsmp on the other hand, the storyline were just based of wars, and the streamers were just logging in the server most of the time because of the, like said "storyline", in which imo destroys the minecraft smp essense, and the wars.. I don't know it feels like rinse and repeat, its like it has a cycle which is " Calm before the storm - The storm" and repeats, i don't know if I'm the only one who felt like that. Like said from a different videk "Good idea, but bad execution". I do admit I loved dsmp when I was younger, but growing up realizing watching mature people is much more enjoyable than watching the.. uhh other group (no offense to them but I think they'd agree with me since they've matured enough).
Remember, "If it's in the video they're fine with it"
Yeah, a good example of this was during the S7 Mycelium war where Grian *repeatedly* stressed that it was all in good fun and not meant to be a serious conflict, even telling his viewers NOT to send hate towards the other side.
@@Coraledge truue
No one in dream Smp had their feelings hurt 😂😂😂. It was all scripted ahead of time. Every member knew what was going to happen before it happened.

Doc, Etho and Impulse all joined Hermitcraft in season 3 - not season 6 as this video suggests.

he starts talking about hermitcraft at around 5:20 . you're welcome
The Internets definitely not safe and don't talk to old men who want feet pictures but I'm sure there's people like you somewhere on here
I completely understand where your coming from
I've always dreamed of creating an smp like hermitcraft or just being a minecraft youtuber in general
However I lack the friendships and overall confidence to do so
I've always struggled with friendships and tho I have people I talk to I've never found someone who truly shares my interests
...I'm talking to much, look my point is I completely understand where your coming from and how you feel and it's good to know that your never alone there's always someone somewhere out there that feels the same way you do don't be afraid to reach out
...idk what im saying I'm not good at this-
There was a video with Xisuma's advice to "Start your own Hermitcraft" and in the comments I found a group, and spontaneously we had our own little minecraft and discord server.
It was a good time for a few years and I think 4 "seasons" but eventually it fizzled out, everyone involved just had college and work and they were busy. But I made friends in that server in 2020, and even though we're not playing minecraft much these days, we still talk frequently.
I guess the point is, don't give up on maybe one day stumbling into something cool, and hopefully it will last a good while and bring great memories to carry into new stages of your life : )
I think empires smp deserves a mention! That got a lot of views
It probably helps that it's got a lot of overlap with Hermitcraft (crossover notwithstanding)
@@SpectroliteDS Nah S1 had no hermitcraft members at that point at and was very popular. It honestly was a huge boost for many of those creators too!

Don't you love when a video named ''How Hermitcraft became unstoppable'' has only 40% of it entire runtime talking about Hermitcraft? That aside, it's a decent and concise documentary video, however I'll mention a few bits of wrong information:
*5:27* There were definitely WAY more than 5, plus you forgot to mention GenerikB himself, the founder of the server.
The three members, Doc, Impulse and Etho were added in season _THREE_
*6:35* No.
Hermitcraft chose stable and consistent popularity over getting _unimaginably_ popular and viral only to die down because it has nothing else to offer.
i appreciate your feedback!
Tango did in fact join during S2
How mermitcraft became unstoppable then spends 5/8 minutes talking about other SMPs
this wasnt the original title so i can see how it doesnt seem to make much sense
Decked out is from season 7. The first iteration. Season 9 had Decked out 2. The second iteration.
@@eduardpeeterlemming yes, but we all know that DO2 surpasses the first version so much that it is now just the official version of Decked Out. Just look at Tango’s livestream titles, he doesn’t call it Decked Out 2, he calls it Decked Out.
Yes, Decked Out absolutely exploded and for all the right reasons. It may very well be the greatest singular creation in all of Minecraft history.
Hermits are just some old homies hanging out and having fun while being bit childish at times
I love the small detail with wilbur having sharp teeths
Thank you for TfC mention.
And another point- even when he died, it didn't kill the server off for good which i think nicely shows how the hermits got together
The life series have also been very enjoyable, and a lot of hermit craft members are on it.
Doc, Beef, Bdubs and Etho are all mindcrackers

70%: talking about other smps
30%: hermitcraft
great video tho, i quite enjoyed it
THE TEETH ON WILBUR AT 2:23 😭😭 (wonderful and accurate addition to his profile picture)
Not only hermitcraft
Include grians life series
One of the hermitcraft members (Grian) made the "life series" it is kinda chaotic, but its REALLY interesting and funny, there is a 6th season in the works rn im really hiped, and you cant leave the session unless you can't make it, so it has ppl active every single week. (Oh btw when i mean kinda chaotic i mean really chaotic)
And because it's players who are on hermticraft or simillar servers/friendgroup whoch tends to also be more OGs and they don't overdo the idea.....
@@thepartridgesings yeah
plus if the member can't join a Life stream then they either: AFK (Grian) or get another player to replace them w/ amnesia (aka Gem & Lizzie )
seriously? I can’t wait!!
@@hannahyoung6762 yeqh
Tommy didn’t start the L'Manberg war(though he was heavily involved), Wilber did.
Brian joined in season 6 and impulse joined in season 3
Super underrated minecraft documentary! I hope you go viral bro, you deserve it
thanks a lot!
Hermitcraft is a testament to how friendship holds people together.
*Grain*

Who is this "Grain" character?
I feel like lifesteal is trying too hard, they keep dying and using revives like its just not interesting anymore
2:23 I’m sorry this is awesome
With the few wars caused (grain)everyone knew it was light hearted fun and not that deep. They wouldn’t go destroying the whole sever just because of it
And something else that makes hermitcraft different from other smps is that it family friendly because like the dsmp badboyhalo would try to get people to stop cussing but failed meanwhile hermitcraft I can’t remember anyone dropping an f Bomb.
Everyone on hermitcraft are also close and in the eps the hermits would normally chill with the other hermits without an aurgment
The documentary was so detailed and well done. Appreciate the cool video!

Well good luck choosing who to watch there’s like 19 members now, typically ppl only watch 1-3 creators. Mumbo and Grian being the most popular as well as interacting with each other the most. I think i must've said that accidentally. Either that or the fan wiki was wrong
I think another reason for the success is that they are season based so they are consistently doing new things so that it doesn't get boring.
There has also been a lot more turnover in their history than the video suggests, you can find a Hermitcraft history video on RUclips, it gives the scope of who has played and in what seasons and the reasons they left and the speculations if no reason was given.
i do feel like hermitcraft is like the giga chad of smp servers

Ah yes a video talking about hermitcraft with less than half the video actually talking about hermitcraft.
This video honestly has a lot of misinformation in general, like how it says the server started with 5 members (didn't) and when people joined/left the server etc. Also mindcrack wasn't mentioned at all despite completely unrelated SMPs being mentioned
I think you should have done better research before making the video so hopefully in the future these things don't happen

Also I forgot who did create hermitcraft but it wasn’t xsumavoid, he just took over ownership in s2 after the creator left the server, and s1 consisted of a lot more ppl than listed it’s just that those are the only ones who stayed.
i sort of meant that during the time he was making content, he was consistent
also, everytime a Hermit takes a break in season none of their stuff or builds are trashed or their shop profits stolen. hermits understand that real life happens and sometimes players need to step away
Yoooo I'm that guy who made that one video HAHA!! Let's goo

hermitcraft is probably the smartest and creative smp throughout minecraft
The 2 best smps in Minecraft history are Hermitcraft and How to Minecraft and I don’t think they will ever be dethroned
i can appreciate this content but it feels as though the main focus of this video was the history of SMP’s as opposed to what made hermitcraft such a dominant force. plus, a lot of the information about hermitcraft seems to need some double checking.
in the future, it may be a good idea to go back and forth between the falls of what previous smp’s have experienced and the positives of hermitcraft, instead of waiting until the 5:28 mark to start talking about them when the video is only about eight minutes long
there is some amazing potential here and you’ve got a compelling storytelling style, but i encourage you to edit your scripts more in the future so your content can soar

Additionally, I think it would have been better if you showed more footage from the earlier seasons when you were talking about them, instead of just showing season 10 footage.
the audio and subtitles at 7:14 tripped me out lol
i honestly don't know what happened there. i had so many issues with this video lol 😭

Jeez that was long

Hermitcraft SMP players finding the godlike brainpower to not touch minors (because that’s hard for content creators for some reason)
