So fun seeing my city through your "eyes"! it's a beautiful video! I feel like it's easy to forget or just get used to the beauty of ones hometown. thanks for this reminder of how special and beautiful hamburg can be!
and you were so lucky to be in Hamburg today, the "Alstervergnügen" is only once or twice a year. copenhagen is beautiful, definitely worth a visit(more so than Berlin in my opinion).
save travels!
aw yeah it's always nice to get a reminder of how beautiful your hometown is! Really loved my short stay here, hopefully will be back soon :)
What a great idea that your viewers can decide where you are going next :D
Hey Raya, just watched your video. Hamburg is by far my favorite city in Germany. I went there for a week last year and the impressions were outstanding. Hopefully I can come back to Hamburg again very soon. This place is just magic!
Greetings from a German viewer :D
What a beautiful city. I might have to add Hamburg to my 'must visit' list... Fabulous vlog - informative and entertaining.
So surprised that you didn't go to the harbor area or Speicherstadt, as it's usually the two most popular places in Hamburg
So she has another reason to come back :D
That looked like such a fun place! The buildings were beautiful. Can't wait to see where you go next!
Great video! you're living the dream!
Loving the series! Super informative and looks like fun! Keep it up!
This is such a fun travel series!! I'm so invested!!!!
You guys really lucked out with all the festivals in Hamburg! Such a beautiful city.
I'm so excited for you to experience Copenhagen next (subtle winking to everyone else)
My hometown lies near Hamburg and I'm currently on a Gap Year in Colombia, so this video just gave me major homesickness 😢 love the editing and this format in general, can't wait to see more!!
Hi Raya! Loving your videos, and can't wait to see how the rest of your trip goes. Can you do an updated packing video? You never "look like a backpacker" while you travel and I'd love to know how you do it.
loving this new series :) can't wait to see what's next!!
Yayy thank you! So happy you're liking it!
Your videos are so inspiring - i swear you manage to make me happy after every video - hello from Melbourne, Australia
I've literally just came back from Hamburg 2 days ago- such a beautiful & quirky city! ♡ :) great vlog + keep up the good work xxx
Thanks for your videos Raya!! Loving your content :)
Thank you! :)
Love watching Europe Travel Vlogs !! 👌😀 💖
Hey, my hometown :D. Hope you have / had a great time in this beautiful city :)
cool! I lived in Germany for 7 years, and worked in Hamburg often! this was so fun to watch!
Wow so bold!!! Hope you have a great trip ✌✌✌
Wow! What a nice hostel! I plan on backpacking Europe soon & staying in a hostel from time to time. I hope my hostel experience is as cool as yours!
I'm glad you like Hamburg that much, it's one of my favorite cities in Germany!
so happy you went to see my beautiful home town!
was hoping you would go to cph!!! it is an amazing city. you will love it!
If you liked that church you should definitely see the Kölner Dom in Cologne at some point. I'm pretty sure it's the largest cathedral in Germany. Could be wrong though because I'm not German haha.
Jodi's Expat Life but the St.Michael in Hamburg is beutifuller than the Dom of Cologne! Because the Church in Cologned is so black
Thats amazing about the vegan options! I've actually read a few times that Berlin is the vegan capital of the world?! Pretty awesome. Have a great time in Denmark, can't wait to see the vlog!
Great video Denmark seems fresh and exciting
I have only been to Hamburg at Christmas but this time of year is the city even nicer 😁
I love the voting aspect of this trip! I'm so excited to see where you go next!
yay, thank you! :)
Nice video as usual
The voting to choose your next destination is a FANTASTIC idea! Thoroughly enjoying this series already.
The open train ticket looks like fun! Thanks for the tip 😊
Raya we are your fans since day 1. Love the way you are doing your Europe series!!! Keep up with great info. By the way, you looks beautiful with your hair highlights!!. Xoxo Cynthia
Thank you so much Cynthia! 😄
Your vlogs are awesome, just like you❤
Haha, at 6:56 you are able to see my home :D Loved your video about my town.
Also I hope you're going to Kopenhagen. I just love that city and my family comes from there (parts of it).
I love this series! You're vlogs are just so beautiful filmed and edited :) Maybe you can make the music a bit lower in volume? Every time music comes I have to turn the volume down and then back up when you speak again... But other than that great work Raya! ❤
You said planten un blomen quite good :D its actually not German but "plattdeutsch". A language the people in the North used to speak. Now only the "old" people speak it sometimes :D
Oh wow, super interesting!
I speak Platt as well (just for fun) and I'm not old ;P
Ow you have to come to Antwerp in Belgium :) , btw love your videos
that garden though... OMG
Christina
Hamilton, Ontario Canada
You should definitely visit the Planetarium if u are still in Hamburg!! Watch the Pink Floyd Show or any other music show there, it is so great 😊🌸🌞
We've never been to Germany, Hamburg look's pretty appealing 😎 Great video by the way 👍
Such a beautiful idea.
Raya, can you show us what you're carrying in your backpack? I love these series!!
yes I'll definitely do a 'What I packed for backpacking' video at the end! Thank you!
Yey, thank you! I definitely want to backpacking Europe when I graduate and these videos are so helpful!
Awesome help for before I set off! Can you do costs for a bus trip too? 😂
That hostel is AMAZING!! 😍
thats amazing ur are in my hometown^^ adore ya dear, love ur video very beautiful
Planten un Bloomen was a very good choice, it's a beautiful place.
EDIT: Also thanks for letting me see my hometown (lived there for over 20 years, but moved a bit further south now) through your eyes. It's too easy to forget how marvelous a place can be if you live there and see it every day.
You should visit Belgium! There are so many lovely places like Antwerp, Brussels, Bruges, Ghent,... And all those cities aren't that far away from eachother so you can visit them in a couple of days. Anyways, love these series, Raya! You're doing a great job giving lots of people some citytripping/backpakking inspiration.
I love the music you choose, its very in the now right now...
Funny I was only there two weekends ago! Great city but I have to go back as it rained heavily the entire weekend. Looks beautiful in the sun.
Please go to Copenhagen!
If you are tomorrow still in Hamburg, there is a like village fair around the "innen Alster" (the smaller lake in the city) with wood and a firework at 22:45/10:45 pm. And with a couple of stage with music. It is there since Thursday.
EDIT: i should watch the whole video and then comment...
xDeLuXxe I know that moment when you dont watch the whole vid and even consider deleting your comment after watching the rest
Can you vlog some of the train journeys? :)
I love Copenhagen! I´m norwegian, but I´ve been to Denmark six times and i really recommend Kronborg Castle, The little Mermaid sculpture at langelinje pier, strøget and the botanical garden
Hamburg my home 🙌🏼🙈🙈
Do you have tips for finding any safe hostiles for a good price? Can you make a video of that like how you find hostiles.
You should come to Munich in September or begin of October to visit the Oktoberfest! And also because munich is the most beautiful cityxxx
Love This!! And I just saw that you use your S8 to film! But what are u using to edit?
Premiere Pro :)
I love that you're travelling by train since I feel like most travel youtubers only promote travelling by plane without considering the negative effects on the environment.
I saw you and Louis at the Waterfront in Cape Town in April but I was too shy to say hi :(
When I was a kid we had an elderly neighbour who used to take his cat for a walk on a lead. It always fascinated me... now I know he's not the only one to attempt it😂
Really like the Copenhagen downtown hostel. Near town hall and train station. If book direct breakfast with awesome homemade bread included ($10 value).
ohh thanks for the recommendation!
love the idea of choosing your next destination : Berlin ;) 👍
Cool video
love the music
So weird seeing my worktown in such a beautiful way :)
You can use InterFlix instead Interrail, 99E for 5 trips any available directions (not ad but an advise)
Hey you :) I love this series. But polls on RUclips would be more convenient for the viewers (especially me 😋)
Instead of spending a full day in a train, try the NightJet. It is night trains connecting main cities in Austria, Germany, Switzerland & Italy. It seems to be compatible with Interrail Pass : www.interrail.eu/en/trains-europe/night-trains/obb-nightjet
you should come to vienna :)
Next time you come to the uk, come to Winchester it's beautiful
My beautiful Home Town!
My hometown yeay, even if i life in the pacific now for many years
My hometown ♥️
Copenhagen is great
"Planten un Blomen" means "Plants and Flowers"), and it isn't German but the local language Low Saxon (a.k.a. "Low German") whose ancestor Old Saxon is one of the ancestors of English.
sooooo coooooll. liebe grüsse aus Deutschland
your videos and explanation are very good .. welcome to India
At hostels are you able to lock up your things when you leave the room?
I was wondering, how do you find your way around the cities you visit?
Come to Porto, Portugal!
Thanks for input the cost of the food. Anyway you can input the cost of the hostels in your video too?
It is on the screen at 0:40 - 32.50 Euro per night.

you have to go to Croatia!
Come to Slovenia :D
What do u use to edit this video?
What's the name of the soundtrack you used?
Inwas wondering how much you spent on public transportation while being in Hamburg. Cause this isn't included in your interrail ticket, isn't it?
The price für a day-ticket which allows you to use all kind of public transport is € 6,20 (valid after 9 a.m.) or € 7,60 (all day).
32.50 a night??? damn the most expensive hostel ive stayed in was 20 bucks in vienna and the cheapest 9 bucks
At 05:29 Martin Schulz rocking her vlog
wow.. we just booked our 2 bedroom apartment for 50 euro per night. We are 4 people / 50 euro its 12 euro per night in nice goodlooking apartment centaly located. Our rented car is 50 euro per day so its the same story, 12 euro per day for each person.
I am amazed by these prices.
