Love your confidence your energy and your smile 😁, with that being said pls drop full itinerary, how to get around in and how to plan the whole trip in detail 😅
I went in May which I highly recommend! Going in shoulder season allows for decent weather without being too hot, less crowds, and often times cheaper fares for travel and accommodation!
Too many free nights with friends, or insanely cheap hostels to make this realistic for all. UK was basically free for you, so it's kind of a tough one to include. I don't know how you got accommodations so cheap otherwise, tho. I would expect a minimum of $80/night USD in Western Europe and EMEA. Central EU saved your budget for sure. Anyway, it was a good video, I'm glad you had fun and had that experience. For me, I'd 3x this for comfort. For most I'd add at least 50% if they didn't travel shoulder, have friends and play WAY ahead.
Cheap hostels absolutely exist!! All of these hostels were booked at most 3 days in advance. If you’re looking for more comfort, then you can’t really call it a backpacking trip and you shouldn’t stay in hostels. Then it’s a completely different kind of trip. And most people have a friend or two somewhere that they’re going to visit - that’s very common, especially if you’re planning a long trip to many places! 3x more than this for a month long trip is INSANE and entirely unrealistic unless you make GOOD money and are splurging on hotels and expensive experiences. Trust me, as someone who has traveled extensively to 45 different countries, travel does not have to be expensive!! That’s what backpacking is for :)
My hardest thing is transport to sights as always seems there arent except in big cities so inevitwbly end up booking a trip which is never as good as going yourself and an unrushed time. Any ideas please. I dont use a dtiving licence abroad..
The only time I’ve driven abroad is in Iceland or other really remote places! Learning to navigate public transportation is super important especially in Europe when it’s really accessible. Uber is also readily available in Europe so if you are going somewhere that even trains don’t go to, Uber is usually available. Or find someone at your hostel who wants to go with to split the price!!
We definitely stayed in hostels the whole time or whatever was the cheapest option in the city center. Usually the hostels had breakfast included for us, we bought sandwich materials from the grocery store for lunch to eat on the go, and we’d eat dinner out!
We stayed with friends a couple nights, but maybe it’s partly because we went late spring/early summer so it wasn’t quite prime travel season. But we only reserved hostel stays AT MOST a few days in advance so the prices may have been reduced because of that
No. Most accommodations in hostels are 18 - 35. That's Oct 2024 prices. I'm heading to Copenhagen first and it is one of the most expensive. Even private rooms in hostels in Athens is only in the 20 - 30 range.
Hahaha I understand! But Iceland is pretty expensive in general. That includes flights, renting a car, a few tours, AND I bought high quality hiking boots. Iceland is so so worth it!!
I wouldn’t say $500/day but it’s definitely one of the most expensive countries to visit! It also depends on what activities and tours you decide to do - a lot of hikes and national parks are relatively cheap. Renting a car was $300 alone for 6 days! But Iceland is probably my favorite country I’ve ever been to so it’s definitely worth it!

Thank you so much, that’s so sweet! Ahahaha yes that’s a good idea, though a lot of this trip was pretty spontaneously planned!
I definitely should describe a specific itinerary, I know that would be helpful to a lot of people!
I'd love to hear about what excursions you did or things you think everyone should do in each city/country! or even free things you did
ooh that’s a good idea!! like an activities recs vid!!
Me too!!!
noted!!
Please do the Eurail video! :)
Ooh yes thank you!! Eurail is definitely something that is tricky and takes a minute to figure out so I think a eurail help video would be useful!!

Did you stay in hotels or hostels ? And did you eat out for every meal ?
