Ferguson TEF 20 deisel injectors service. Reading the plate.

A bit of clarity on the injector unit and how to change the oil. The plaque has instructions - I hope this clarifies what you need to do. It will sound better ...mine all did after I did this ‪@cherryle8‬ for other videos.
Footnote: Be sure to put it back on in exactly the same position ( there is a mark on the housing ). It's place can advance or retard the injection timing. With the diesel it's best to run for a day or so before making a final decision.

interesting …. i watched another utube film on these. Am i right in saying you take off the drain plug, and fill it up with oil through the drain plug hole , till it flows out the drain plug. Then replace the drain plug and it dilutes with diesel? I watched Bundy Bears excellent video and this is what he said to do at 1hr 20min into his film? can you throw any light on this?

Hi, I reccon the drain plug is for draining out. If you're on the bench you could fill up with the drain plug but if its on the tractor take the two screws off and fill from the top. Untill it reaches full.
Just remember too that if you're taking it off, put it back in the same place. There are marks on the housing. Clockwise advance - anti to retard timing. Personally I think this is important too. So don't just bang the injector unit back on.
