I was born in 83 and I'm a teacher. We sign a legal binding contract that has what is called a morality clause. She knew this before she signed it. Yes and its true 92% of all school teachers in the US are white and female. We need to change that because of the children that we teach do not necessarily reflect that. The problem for the leftists is that not all kids go to college and many are taught by their parents that America is a great country, and rightfully so. I am a math teacher who left (early retirement after 32 years) the public school system because of frustrations with the politics and broken ideologies in school administration. My best advice is to get your children out of public schools and/or parents need to flood the districts and remind them who should really be in charge of what their children are taught.

You can probably imagine how I feel being 15, walked away from the extreme left, and in an extremely liberal school and city. My PE teacher was so scared and kept correcting himself to say “female identifying” instead of female when talking about the locker rooms. There is constant pressure of all classes to “pick a pronoun and share” on the get to know you quiz. And my English apologized to the “young women” in the class before explaining how there was a view of inferiority of women to men back in the 1800s… like, it wasn’t your fault? Why are you apologizing?
Idk these are just a few examples of how careful my school teachers are about not being “controversial”, and don’t even get me started with the BLM posters everywhere which is fine but they consider it to not be a political movement?

Three days ago my child started the seventh grade, and not a single mask to be seen in the entire middle school. Our son has never once set foot inside of a public school, and he never will. Not to mention, thanks to the excellent staff at his school, ever since kindergarten, he's never once not made the honor roll. NOT ONE TIME! When he was in the second grade he was reading at an 8th grade level, and by the end of the 6th grade he was reading at a 12th grade level. Thank you Arizona!
The parents are the ones that have the right to determine what is being taught too their children. The teachers and school board are answerable to the parents not the other way around. Without the parents and their children the teachers jobs don’t exist.

I’m a public school teacher and I say, “Home schooling is your best option”. I’m fortunate that my youngest child is in 11th grade and spent the last 18 months of school remotely. I’m fortunate that my oldest child spent the last 18 months of college remotely. I’m fortunate that I will retire by early 2022 and avoid this nonsense.
I will not teach CRT in my classroom. I will not attend workshops that push it. As our school’s union rep. I will support my teacher members who refuse to attend, and I will file Equal Opportunity Employment complaints if they are threatened or forced to do so.
CRT creates a hostile work environment that discriminates based on race and is illegal in both state and federal law.

I was an English professor for the last 11 years, and I just stepped down over the summer because of this exact reason. I look forward to stepping away because of the politicized classroom, but my true passion will always be teaching. I have some of the highest students reviews yearly at my university, but I cannot do this anymore. This overt racism and agenda-pushing are actually worse than the media knows. Behind closed doors, these agendas are pushed in a terrifying way. Take your kids out of college is the only advice I have left.

Because of our household income and my daughters good grades, Ivy League schools were scouting her in the name of diversity. I never pushed her to take the SAT or apply to any schools her senior year and was able to save her out of that communist indoctrination system. She went straight to work and lives just fine with a free mind.

My Mother was a teacher and I'll never forget the day she came home crying after work because of new policies and she was reprimanded for allowing kids to give her a hug. My mother raised 5 good kids and her students loved her as her heart is huge and she cared for these kids many who came from broken homes and families, who looked forward to her class and receiving and giving a hug. Then more and more regulations, policies, government involvement and social programming designed to isolate kids from family, from caring and from Love.... She resigned when she was told that she can't let the kids give her a hug or vice-versa she was loved by her students also and that was 25 yrs ago....they've been doing this for a longtime and it blows me away that people think this is new.....slow and steady integration to keep you blind to it.
As others begin to speak out we realize how badly THEY wanted us gone.
This is one of the dozens of reasons so many young folks today are anxious and are on meds for it.
I have never seen that much anxiety from my generation of school kids. 30 years later and half, if not most students are emotional wrecks and they're getting that way at earlier and earlier ages.

Here's an idea. If the schools don't comply with our demands, we threaten to have our children bomb the Standards of Learnings tests. These tests are crucial for obtaining federal funds to help subsidize the cost of local school systems. If our children were instructed to simply color in their favorite shapes on the Scantron sheets, we as parents would gain a ton of leverage.
I know it won't happen but the US Government NEEDS to clarify that NO ONE has the right to infringe upon another persons Constitutional Rights and Civil Liberties in any way, shape, or form!!!

What did she do that was so great but cry and quit? We as teachers dont agree about everything. But one thing we dont do defame our districts. If we have a concern we take it to our union or association reps. I dont want my kids to have a teacher like this. She's weak, she quit and abandoned her contract over diversity training in the middle of a pandemic. She didn't want to be there anyway. Probably had bad observations and left to save face.
I'm sure she will end up in a better place. As far as her quitting the fight i. I don't think she had a choice. I think if she would have tried to stay there and fight the superintendent she would have been fired anyhow. I would read at lunch, in class and as I rode the 3 miles home. No hands riding a 10 speed while reading a book. I was an addict for sure. I eventually found all of his publishings and read them all. My favorite book of all time is still "The walking drum". If you haven't read it I highly recommend it. And of course the Sackett family of books are a close second. I agree! They say teaching manners is not the school's job, it't the parent's, then why do they lecture our children on their ideologies? No one can prove that they're right or that their ideas are superior to anyone else's, it's just their private opinion that shouldn't be forced on kids.
I think it’s a combination. It’s unrealistic to think our kids won’t look up to and learn from their teachers. Their teachers should be trusted adults in their lives as well. I would hope my kid would look to them if they felt they couldn’t come to me for whatever reason.
No one should “teach” a child an opinion…. Whether you are a teacher or parent, you provide information and let the child form their OWN opinion.
