Eh. Ive seen tons of 10's with awful centering, print lines all over and then I seen beautiful cards getting 8's and 9's. No consistency at all. Literally grader lottery.
the thing about psa grading is that human error is still a problem. people have been know to reopen psa tested cards with lower then expected score and have them retested. sometimes they get higher score
Honestly i know most people are obsessed with PSA grading, but i'm half tempted to get my collection graded somewhere that provides sub-grading. Atleast then i can see the reasoning why my cards got marked down, and not just a "9" or worse thrown on there with little to no explanation. Btw great vid bro and feelsbadman great collection Also, the charizard hidden fates psa 10 is more like $900 - $1150 ish at most, still good to get but theres a lot of em on the market right now.
Looking at all the cards, the boarder was off center. Yugioh cards is a lot harder to grade because the boarder around the art, the boarder around the text box, the name, the stars, the front & back of the card has to be perfect centering.
You could probably open boosters in a sterile vacuum using telekinesis, not touching the card, instantly sealing it away, never touched an air molecule and the PSA give you an 8.
the main companies that grade cards are the same that decide price and sell the most expensive cards if they are not selling them they grade them low so they can't compete with their own sell of the cards.
It SUCKS the market favors PSA graded stuff. After seeing how Diamond grades your stuff, seals it better/keeps it safer and TELLS YOU why you got a certain grade, I don't understand why people aren't moving away from PSA.
What you think PSA is: Dudes with microscopes going over every last details. What PSA actually is: 7,8,9,7,4,6, uhhh give it a 7, 8,7,7,7,7 "You keep saying 7, you sure?" 7,7,7,7
Ra immortal Phoenix vs D-Hero Plasma (card is unaffected by other cards' effects. Vs Negate the effects of face-up monsters while your opponent controls them.) Who win?
The problem might be that you’re sending in stuff that you expect to be lower in grade along with the stuff you’re expecting higher. So when they grade your bundle the grader might be subconsciously basing scores around these group of cards and you’re setting the bar too low with the not as mint stuff. Maybe send in all of the stuff you think will be stellar together and all of the sub par/lucky score stuff separate. Also the saturation of cards they’re getting, they probably don’t want to hand out 10s as often anymore.
It should not matter if they get a 1000 or just 5 cards worthy of a 10, if they deserve a 10 they should grade it like that. They just lost a lot of credibility, look at the comment section
Seriously they should provide a reasoning for their grading as it just seems random. I would send them the video asking for their response to this awful grading.
THE REASON WHY IS BECAUSE IT ISN'T A CHARIZARD, PSA WILL GIVE ANY CHARIZARD IN ANY CONDITION A FREAKING 9. Have ya seen that one chick's video where she got her pokemon cards back from PSA and all of her charizard cards are high grades even with a small whitening on the back of the card.
I will never understand why card grading is a thing. The card works the same if it's a PSA 10 or a PSA 3. Same effects, same everything. Just certain distinctions in art centering and card age/damage. If it looks new, it should be just as valuable as any other. Sending your cards to a company to tell you they're worthless or worth a lot will always be a bad idea in my mind. Those companies are more likely to damage the cards that you are, especially since you card about it's condition and they don't. They grade cards all day and send them back damaged because it's not their money. 🤷 Plain and simple.
What goes up must come down. PSA will struggle in near future. All this hype is due to the pandemic and people staying home and buying cards. All of this will slowdown next year and PSA will have to drop their price. No need to pay $70 or $100 to grade a card. Thats robbery!
I can see them lowering their price back down considerably. I have roughly 100 cards i have set aside for grading and then they doubled the price. I figure i will get more accurate grades (these should all get 9-10 imo), with a quivker turnaround and for a lot less than if i send them now

Yu Gi Oh grading has suddenly got really tough. I haven’t had a 10 back regardless in any submission. It’s not looking like it’s worth paying current elevated or high costs to grade if this is going to continue happening.

After I saw ur blue eyes at 2 I realized my catapult turtle is in the negatives
I love when Sam does videos with strictly sealed
“ so it’s worthless now? “ lmao imagine being able to say that 😆
Is anyone having an issue receiving their playmat I ordered mine a week ago and I've yet to receive a notification that it has been shipped.
In response I did finally receive a notification.
"head is always worth more" my mind went gutter for a sec then realized that the exodia head is worth more.
lmaoo
I still have my blue eyes that I pulled when I was 8yo. The card is in rough shape but the memories it gave me is worth more than anything.
"Whats wrong with it I don't understand"
Well there's a code on the back to tell you why it was graded that way but...yeah.
“you said this was a 10!”
Ends up being 8-9. 😅
That should be the actual title of the video cause that wahat is repeated with every card
That's why 10's cost so much. One slight touch can costs thousands.
Fk yeah, hype time!
i love this guy
12:26 change of heart's centering is more toward the left....yall blind lol
Having any thing graded and sealed away is the worst thing you could ever do unless all you want is that money.
Phrase of the day… “ yea so…..” lmao xD
Honestly i know most people are obsessed with PSA grading, but i'm half tempted to get my collection graded somewhere that provides sub-grading. Atleast then i can see the reasoning why my cards got marked down, and not just a "9" or worse thrown on there with little to no explanation. Btw great vid bro and feelsbadman great collection
Also, the charizard hidden fates psa 10 is more like $900 - $1150 ish at most, still good to get but theres a lot of em on the market right now.
PSA 2 < Not graded
they should give you a breakdown of why the cards are graded the way they are
Mirror force surface is not flawless that's why it went a 9. Cause it probably had a small scratch that the naked eye can't see
PSA is acting weird with me also
Looking at all the cards, the boarder was off center.
Haha funny how for Sam, if a card is not a 10, its worthless xD
10=thousands
9=2k at very best which is very rare so yeah it can hurt by a lot of money
@@ZION73082 Yeah, it can hurt, but they are not worthless
I was under the impression that the QR code when scanned provided a detail description on how it was graded
What PSA actually is: 7,8,9,7,4,6, uhhh give it a 7, 8,7,7,7,7 "You keep saying 7, you sure?" 7,7,7,7
just from looking the 2005 raviellord and can see it to be a little off center and I could also notice the corners are not perfect corners
marks on the back of the card probably make the grade harsher. stands out more and can be distinguished.
Ra immortal Phoenix vs D-Hero Plasma (card is unaffected by other cards' effects. Vs Negate the effects of face-up monsters while your opponent controls them.) Who win?
A 2 would mean that it is multiple ct3ased and corner were to beyond the boarders. On cardboard inward ....that's a 7.5 to 8.5 actually
I’ve only watched a few openings, but he does handle the cards a bit rough…
I just use TGA so much better cleaner looking and cheaper as well as quicker
Lmao u sniffed the box @ 2:49
THE REASON WHY IS BECAUSE IT ISN'T A CHARIZARD, PSA WILL GIVE ANY CHARIZARD IN ANY CONDITION A FREAKING 9. Have ya seen that one chick's video where she got her pokemon cards back from PSA and all of her charizard cards are high grades even with a small whitening on the back of the card.
striclysealed talks about card gradings like a sports commentator would describe a basketball play or something lol. I love it.
PSA be like “I’m not having a good day so I’ll give you an 8”
Im sorry but that guy is clueless. “I think its a 10” 😂 i mean some of those cards look like they weren’t even wiped clean prior to submission.
Did he change the name of the video? I thought it was something different in the beginning. I also thought it had a different thumbnail
Should use this video as a how to remove a card from a PSA case 😂. Great watch though !
Take a shot everytime he asks "how much is that worth". Shout out to Strictly Sealed for keeping a cool head - I would have been so annoyed...
They should add little notes to let u know why it got the grade it did.
@Bender Bending Rodriguez lmao. " ima grade it a 1 cause I'm jealous " hahahah
@Bender Bending Rodriguez the hustle! Hahahah
"You said this was a 10" was definitely the most popular sentence in this video hahaha
I figure i will get more accurate grades (these should all get 9-10 imo), with a quivker turnaround and for a lot less than if i send them now
@@turbo8628 same here. I have 1st ed thousand eyes, magician of black chaos, legendary Fisherman and couple of other high calue cards i need evaluated
@@mjoe1111211 all over my head i am afraid, i collect pokemon exclusively and someone mentioned this video so i took a look.
No idea what i am looking at with mtg or yugioh or anything else tbh 😅
I have a copy of the CRV cyber end dragon 1st edition, it was actually my favourite card as a kid and inspired me to start playing cyber dragons again. I got it in a pack i bough as a kid when i had found some change on the street, directly went to the shop to buy a pack and pulled it.
Yu Gi Oh grading has suddenly got really tough.
I haven’t had a 10 back regardless in any submission.
It’s not looking like it’s worth paying current elevated or high costs to grade if this is going to continue happening.
You dont understand? There is more to grading than just surface and corners, be sure to check your centering first. Its a $15 tool. 9's and 10's are supposed to be difficult for a reason.
I bought my 1st edition LoB blue-eyes in 2011 for $10 and got it a 6 when i sent it to psa
what a fucking scam....im glad i got out of this when i turned 15 lol
“That’s Robbery”
-LTG
I am sorry. =( You are awesome man. You always made me laughed every times after you sniffed the cards.
Yes, i am deaf and collecting Yu-Gi-Oh cards since 2001.
