Very nice I love these things so much
Scallop fishing is doing quite well with the current regulations
I think scallops are the very best seafood in the world 👍😋👌😞❤️
They are tasty,i like scallops as well as clams which i catch in the river here in Florida
very good video
i realy dont know about scallaps.till i watch this video TQ
The roe-orange part is the best part.
Captain chuck
love scallops,keeping fishing yummyyyyyy
Very interesting
bacon wrapped jumbo scallops... the only thing that rivals it is fresh north Atlantic lobster
My Brothers works fishing scallops . 😃
Commercial fisherman feed the world, God with them
I need some scallops know
I really hope they were slowing down to show the camera
Are the scalloos put into this special bags with any chemicals or waters? Can you explain?
back when i worked the scallop boats, they were cleaned in salt water and bagged right there on deck, no added chemicals, nothing special.bagged and iced, no more than 13 days old before sold to market.
Jerry Burnett We still do it the same way.Nothing changes here in Cape May except the weather!
alia landon the meats are washed in the ocean water. The "special bags" are simple cheesecloth. 50 pounds of scallops in the bag, then wire tied, and the put below deck in fish pens and covered with ice.
What is the breading you use.
No breading, don't spoil the taste, just perfect on their own with slice of lemon and pinch of salt.
What do you use for seasoning?
That's what I was wondering as well.
SUSTAINABLE ??? DID YOU HERE IT MR CRABS...
Gordon Ramsey brought me here, but THEY'RE RAW!
A destruição que isto causa é inseparável
It is a crime that the row or 'coral' as some describe it is never eaten in some places. This is half the fish for goodness sake. It is a delicacy in Tasmania (Australia) where I live!! Anyway our scallops are much tastier and completely unique in flavor compared to those found anywhere else in the world including other parts of Australia
@Bryan Almazan Sorry but the coral or Roe are the eggs (if it is female it is orange) or if is male it is colored more white/grey(we call it the milk!) I agree we cut the guts off and dispose of. Our scallops don't have a very large stomach. I noticed on some vids that a lot of the really massive scallops from Asia have a large fleshy surround encompassing the abductor that is also eaten.
All about that all mighty dollar
They are not " farmers of the sea." They are gatherers.
Luke Orea Don't get it twisted we do not gather, We harvest Fresh seafood and abide by strict. Federal regulations to keep a sustainable amount of shellfish for generations to come!
yummy :)
scallops get in the ocean ...ahhahah i know na >>>
Wow, a lot of waste and not environment friendly
that's how you pronounce scallops correctly...
That dude is just tossing away the roe, why?
@Bryan Almazan In Australia where I live, at the fish and chip shop we crumb or batter the scallop with the row on and deep fry it. Delicious.
Folks the scallop beds are managed well it is a sustainable Fishery hardly any bycatch.
Yep!! Antarctica is next and you sir have no idea what real beds look like. Nantucket and the Gulf of Maine has become so thick they are smothering.
So those dredges never pick up ground fish like cod, haddock, monkfish, yellowtail, skates, small sharks and lobsters? You obviously never worked on a scallop boat.
Yea they do not much though once the dredges start the fish scatter. You couldn't say shit if you had a mouth full you don't know the half of it my friend!
@Bryan Almazan yep
@Bryan Almazan Right now the boys are towing smashing crushing and killing everything in sight.
Visit www.oceansfleet.com for more information or visit our retail seafood market at www.fishmanmkt.com to order online and more.
I know people eat them, but if they clean and filter the ocean shouldn't we be leaving these natural cleaners alone? The oceans are in bad enough shape from pollution and environmental waste as is. Just my thoughts. 🤔😕
why dredge so much negative side affects to it get in there and dive for them or leave them alone also yous are waisting the best part the eggs row
wow dredgers the nasties of the sea
Killah Priest Really you have worked on a scallop dredge? A dragger maybe? Or do you live in the basement of your parents house playing PlayStation
Tracy n Shea why would i work on a plebian job? i earn in a month more than you can earn in your lifetime sweat free, ever heard of bitcoin? LOL you pleb, stay poor
I'm not opposed to commercial fishing, but I do find the statement of being Farmers rather rediculous. Furthermore I've come across a few commercial guys and some think that ocean belongs to them and not to the public. They forget that they are making a profit on our (the citizens) resources. I total support a ban on all commercial fishing of billfish snd I mean all billfish.
"Oceans Alive" scallops. Coming soon "Till it Isnt" air in a can.
when all the scallops in the sea are gone or dead, then I dont want to live anymore!!!
worst type of fishing....scrapping the ocean floor
Farmer Girl but you gave no problem neighboring a cultivator on land ???
jrjohnryanjr. Thank you , She can plant thousands of acres to grow wheat and corn but i can't skim the ocean floor to feed my family? I have no idea about ground farming just as she has no idea about harvesting shellfish or ground fish!
Last I checked, farmers didn't destroy habitat with a dredge then walk away.....
No they just just pollute waterways with tons of animal shit, bury diseased animal carcasses instead of paying to have them disposed of properly.
I very much doubt you've ever been to an actual working farm. Spoiler, they aren't disgusting shit-filled warehouses.
TADufine he's right dredging is the worst you should learn something shithead
Dredging is good for the bottom. It's like a plow in the fields . It cultivates the bottom
Dredges cultivate the bottom. But ok hotshot
Look at the meat he left on his shell! 🤦♂️ greenhorn
To bad dredging destroys everything on the bottom. Thanks for the logo, i'll make sure to never buy anything from this company.
@Liza yeah! People like Liza and myself can afford lots scallops and all of the very best of foods and drinks!
No. It's like a plow in a field . It's actually good for the bottom
I bet you have never worked on the water a day in your life
@Bryan Almazan no you grow oysters . How many days have you spent dredging ? I'm guessing zero
@Bryan Almazan you'd be wrong , I have indeed off of ocean city maryland . I worked on the water for over 30 years and hold an unlimited tidal fish licence in maryland
I love how you added the "sustainable" to your description. That word has zero meaning anymore becasue what you are doing is anything but sustainable. It is not sustainable for humans to eat meat and seafood at the rate we do now. It's just mathematically impossible.
What a waste
your wreaking the sea bottom killing other life
Horrible!!!!!!
Mass production!
They smell awful
@Bryan Almazan I have been there and done that ..
Gordon Ramsey brought me here, but THEY'RE RAW!
