    I like how you put careful attention to details in the parts you make. I think a Dremel or rotary tool would give better control than an angle grinder.

    great build! An easy, cheap, durable and good looking finish for small parts like this is superglue. A lot of pen makers use it. Very easy to do just watch out for the fumes. Plenty of instructional videos on yt

    Maybe the color preserve that they make before the epoxy just like u would do for thread thats not colorfast or decals

    I have been loving this series! Do you live in the area that you show on those charts? I only ask because I recognized some of the locations in them and in the intro.

      Yes I do, the charts and the intro clip are Galveston Bay in TX

    Wow.... this one just made me cringe a bit ;)
    Almost any surface finish only increases the contrast in the grain of wood - especially smoothly-sanded wood.
