The only thing the parents did out of free will was get a quirk. Everything actually crimminal was under the threath of death for the entire family so its not like its out of any sort of malice. You could of course let your family die but lets be real 99.9% of people would never do that no matter what. And its not like the parents even enjoyed doing this to Aoyama hell it only happend because they wanted to make life easier for him witch then snowballed into this. Obviously the actions where wrong but if you genuenly can't understand why they where done then that says way too much about you as a person.
They were also rich, so they probably thought whatever favor the guy would need could be solved financially

Also, they did not make a deal of Aoyama doing shady anything in exchange for the quirk. No idea why you thought AFO would look at UA ~13 years ago when he and All Might are still at their prime. Sounds like you're just trying to make an excuse to hate 'em.
@@9308323 I mean, All for One literally said that he makes plans with years or even decades of anticipation in the last episode, he didn't make a deal with the Aoyama Family because he knew he would need them, he did it because they were willing to make a deal, and he would be able to use them if needed; I might also disagree with her opinion, but that's her opinion, if she's wrong, she'll realize it eventually, but at this point I think it's irrelevant.

A lot of critics towards this part of the story wanted there to be more drama between the class. But that wouldn’t really fly because this isn’t the same class like back in season 3 before the hideout raid.
The division here was between the new generation and the old generation, in how they treat individuals like this.
I feel the main bit which people took the wrong way from last episode's reaction was how you went about it. From how it came across it seemed like the focus was about you being right and calling out the others who may have had differing options about the mole/were trying to mislead you more so than it was about the actual reveal and the complicated aspects involved. The 5 min dedicated bit about that did not help either, given that same kind of energy and hate went into the characters of the show after that. Now that being said it does help having you clear this up a bit and clearly say your stance without that hatred so we better understand.
The whole bit with Aoyama is way more complex than most take it at face value. It's about him wanting to belong in society. We as social creatures desire that need to belong overall. To be accepted, to be part of something, to just not be alone and not fit in. We've seen in the first season of the show how badly quirkless people are treated, as if they are leasers, not worth anyone's time and just a punching bag for the strong. With Deku we seen how badly he's treated not only by his supposed best childhood friend, but by others in his middle school as well. To the point they laugh at his mistreatment at the least, and at the worst telling him to commit suicide. The world of My Hero is cruel to quirkless people and that's just a fact. Some can just make it work like Melissa but you can't expect a young kid who just asked why he is not like everyone else to understand and deal with that. Him asking his parents as a kid why he was not like the others was just an honest question but I do have to admit that at the very least I do agree that Aoyama's parents are to blame for seeking out a sketchy guy who can give powers in return for flavors, but not for the intentions behind it. They were prob trying to do their best to help their kid, but were too blinded by it to realize the reality of what was going on. You know the old saying, if a deal is too good to be true then it usually is and if this case they had a gun to their heads the moment it was done. As for Aoyama himself I feel that he was basically blameless given the whole gun to your head situation he was in for most of this, but the moment he saw the results of his choices for both the USJ and summer camp attacks and did not come clean after All for One was locked up in jail then that's where he should be blamed a bit. That all being said, I do see him being redeemed even if it would take a lot of time and effort to make it back up to everyone involved. I feel he eventually can be a hero, because even in the pitches black of darkness, there is always a shining light of hope twinkling.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, mad respect to Midoriya, Aizawa, and the class for standing up for Aoyama. A great mentor and great friends.

I'm happy you caught the "nyeah" moment, it was a crowd favorite when the chapter first came out.
Something that really stood out to me about this episode was the music that was used during eraser and aoyamas talk. It’s a rendition of a piano theme that they use before, but also was a theme that played during deku and aoyama talking in season four. Not only did the elevate the same, but it was also a pretty good callback.
We forgetting that Aoyama did try to help in the camp by attacking the one who captured Bakugo and was almost caught by Dabi who probably had no info about him.

So danger sense actually works more like an Ill-intent sense. So accidents like that don't trigger it.

@@transyuri4534 it only senses evil thoughts or attacks that are meant to hurt you. It's really flawed and when too much comes at you it's hard to focus. The quirk is already at it's best because of One For All
@@jasonblack2477 There's a big difference between power and technique. What I'm imagining is bassically figuring out how someone feels about a certain person or group, or figuring out if you've bean caught.
*Mr. Aizawa’s speech to Aoyama honestly made me cry. I’m so happy that he has no intention of expelling him since I really don’t think he deserves it. Also Hatsume is back! It’s good to see that she’s still been in relatively high spirits despite everything that’s been happening! The unexpected boob thing was... well unexpected though 😅*
Well, Iida is the class rep so he would feel responsible for trying to make Aoyama feel better so he’s not completely guilt ridden

Not gonna lie; if I were a little Deku here in this situation, being terrified and impressed with Hatsume's drive and skill and adaptability; and also being consistently assaulted by surprise attacks like that? I'd be swooning mad down bad. The running joke is freakin' hilarious though, especially since Deku's like the most innocent of the guys and wouldn't ever use that for his own benefit. Really keeps the joke in good territory rather than cringe, IMO

I'm pretty sure Aoyama's parents weren't completely clueless about AFO. Even if they didn't know exactly who he was, they knew they were making a deal with basically a mob boss.
No, they didnt. AFO as an entity was only ever known by a tiny handful of people prior to the Kamino incident.
AFO himself didn't publicly portray himself as this "megalomaniac mob boss". While the parents were certainly naive, AFO generally did advertise his actions to the less informed as altruistic. You can see a bit of that a few seasons back with the First OFA Holder flashback. Then using that "altruism" to grab hold and never let go. His parents due to their affluence heard rumors of AFO (likely through the doctor), and sought him out. They also likely didn't barter with their son, even if they did promise a favor in return perhaps of themselves.
Hell, there is a bit of irony that the only reason that Aoyama became a target for collection was because he just so happened to be the right age to get into UA at the same time All Might decided to become a teacher. A decade after the parents got Aoyama his "Gift".
