The spacing for the invisible shine on the Yoshi's side plats can be tricky to find but there's a set-up for it with fox. Go to the opposite ledge, do a below 100% get up attack, then roll away from the ledge three times and you're in position for the invisible shine.
I just gasped and freaked out at the invisible shine on FoD's tiny patch of grass near the ledge... I can hardly believe that level of detail! The grass actually has a slope on it and is a higher up part of the stage than the rest!!! I'm off to go get consistent wit it! This shit fking makes my day!
I am so bad at this timing. Whats crazy is like 2 years ago when I first got into melee I got a sick double invis shine combo that ended with a shine spike but I landed on randall. Seriously one of the coolest things ive ever done but it was just pure luck.
No actually if you do the running off stage Invisible Shine, Depending on your momentum, you can fly out so far! And being THAT far off stage and still having your double jump at that height gives you a massive amount of options! Especially if you boost run before it! Which gives you around 1.4 times your normal momentum limit from running! But only for a short time so you gotta boost run and then invisible shine and then boom! You're off stage with tons of ways to kill and make it back with ease! There's no other way to be out there that way. This method is exactly what Syrox uses! It's very very useful! You can do the same thing without the invisible shine. But I'm pretty sure that the Invisible shine goes slightly further but if it doesn't then it still does mental damage AND you get the options!
whenever i see the invisible shine on the run off stage, i always see people turn around in shine 3 times then not move, is this necessary? why do people do this
