I'm aware the hands need to be longer, this was my mistake, but hey, all in all, its pretty flawless and i hope useful, just lengthen up those hands guys :)
Is this general proportion scale appropriate for female dragonball characters as well?

For me personally, perspective drawing is the easiest because it's kinda cheating in a way! If you draw a character from angle, then you don't have to worry about keeping proportions. As for drawing body parts at angles, I kinda use myself as a reference. It helps if you keep a mirror near where you draw! It's how people at animation studios keep things looking proportionate.

how do you record your videos? i want to start recording videos but i don't know how to setup a camera to be professional and record while drawing. I'm a pretty good artist but i need help on how to start.
Cory I think there is a tripod that allows you to bend it in ways to make your camera look at different angles
Cory I use a microphone stand, it goes across my desk and I hook my webcam onto it and adjust.
hmm thats interesting hopefully i could get one of those and start making videos.

Just a little bit on constructive criticism: Goku's arms are a little too short. Goku's sash is in the right spot, but his sash is around his stomach in this Gi, not on his hips. The area where you had his arms stop was just below his hips, when it should've been just short of Midway between the hip and knee. Just a tip from one artist to another.
People constantly rage on all of my comments. if you were to remove the clothes and draw goku body you'll see everything is were it should be, I promise you the measurements are perfect because the Guide on the left is. The belt falls around the lower abdominals and hips as with Martial arts clothing. The hand is also perfectly finishing Slightly above the center of the Thigh as it would with a closed Fist and slightly bent Elbow. Believe me, this grid works 100% effectively. You're welcome to take a character reference and place it over him :).
Does this work for DBS characters?
Oh my god. How does your head have to work to think that they use different proportions for each individual show.
Goku from DBS will be the same as Goku from the very start of GT or Goku from DBZ. Even teenage Goku from the original Dragon Ball.

maddblakey They appear short due to lack of definitely and features. However they are placed perfectly in position when fists are closed and elbows slightly bent. :). they are always slightly above centre Thigh.
