I only played this briefly, shortly after it came out, but the bit in the first marine level when the pipe falls from the ceiling and it looks like an alien head has remained with me ever since.
@@DarthZombie510 I honestly think if they completely remade it but it was exactly like it was now except with modern updated Graphics oh my God I want that game
You get clues Eisenberg is an android by reading pdas. Also, a lot of the backstory is told by reading pdas and notes. Only in the predator and marine campaigns. Aliens can't read lol
It's really fun how much stuff you can find in those PDAs. Especially how much stuff completely unrelated to your own campaign you're currently playing in.
Loved the game, still remember playing it to this day - Good scares, good dialogue with incredible ambience audiowise and visually fascinating. Those creepy ancient alien structures seemingly built for giants really blew my mind and I always wondered who god knows what created them or what occured there.
Even just making it available for sale again with the community patch slapped on would do wonders. It doesn't feel dated in terms of gameplay, and the graphics are ok considering its age. But judging from the copyright hell it finds itself in, i'm not very optimistic unfortunately
On one hand this game is perfectly playable [even if its kinda pain in the ass to use its widescreen fix], but on the other some of its scenes would be amazing to see with modern lighting and shadow effects, among other modern graphical features. So hard to choose!
@@DarthZombie510 agreed maaan I was on the Verge of beating the whole game but my sister deleted my saved file I was sooooo pissed never bothered to play it again until the ps3 version witch I wished they’d remastered the ps3 version with today’s technology control fixes
I didn't have any issues with the mouse, but I see that it's somewhat of a common issue for others. These are some of the solutions presented, apparently it's mostly tied to the mouse having over 125hz polling rate. @@DarthZombie510 once I downloaded the master server patch, it fixed it. I have no clue what they did in that patch to fix this crippling issue but I'm making a copy of this patch on a memory stick and putting it in my CD case with the game lmao, thanks dude, nice review.
I had a brand new PC by the end of 2001, so I got to play this one in the next year. Glorious days playing all the bangers from the past 2 years, since the rig I replaced was completely obsolete and couldn't run shit lol
@@DarthZombie510 True. It's hard to play those games now. I loved this game back in the day. The Marine campaign was terrifying. This game felt like the developers actually watched the movies and read the comic books. Remember when they were called "Pilots", not "Engineers"? Those were the days.
@@shiptj01 I think AvP2 is very replayable, especially the Marine Campaign. Some aspects of the gameplay might show their age more, but the atmosphere is excellently handled and doesn't age imho

This game might be my all time favorite game I've ever played. Countless hours of so much fun, online play and campaigns.
It really was, we're yet to have as great of an AvP game.

I'd play it in a heartbeat! Shame about the legal nightmare, because i think that's why we won't have it anytime soon

i just wish this game got a remake, especially considering that avp3 is now 12 years old now, a remake would def popularize the AVP franchise

Wish both of these games or even the ps3 was completely remastered

doctor isenber looks like Kylo ren
That explains a lot more about him lmao
@@DarthZombie510 good needed back story lol
Or Professor Snape considering the first Harry Potter movie came around the same year as this game.

How did you fix the mouse jittering bug for a modern system?

Glad you found a way to fix it! Happy to have pointed you in the right direction
I wish I knew how to run this because I haven’t been able to
I seem to remember that the installer provided by avpunknown was pretty straightforward. What issue are you having?

I love this game xxx
It's a damn good game! Too bad nothing as good came out for AvP ever since.

Damn, your accent is so thick. You should consider working on subtitles
