    Excellent tutorial. I was unaware of most of these techniques. As usual, your videos are an eye opening experience. Many thanks!

    As a longtime fan of regular expressions I am pleased to say I shall hardly need to be using them again (by trial and error) now I have discovered the Textedit Insert pattern functionality via your wonderfully informative video. Thanks Gary.

    Fantastic video as usual. Text search works in both Pages and Numbers. The TextEdit Search feature is far superior. They could be able to apply in Pages/Numbers eventually.

    Best video ever. I’ve been frustrated for years because I couldn’t find search-and-replace for special characters in Pages. Thank you!!!!

    I did not know that about looking for tab and line breaks. That is very useful.

    Awesome tutorial! Is there a way to select all instances of a particular paragragh style?

    • @macmost
      @macmost  4 месяца назад

      You can't select them, but by changing the style you change the font/size/format/etc for everything that uses that style. See ruclips.net/video/7t9A_sYkAEY/видео.html

    Hi Gary thank you so much for the great content! I had a question for you. Have you ever noticed watching a video on safari but the voice and video motion is out of sync? I will play a video, it becomes out of sync, I pause then play again and then it catches up and then it repeats that process. Any input would be much appreciated.

      Sorry, I haven't see this. But I suppose it it possible. A problem with RUclips, perhaps?

    • @jessefallas7094
      @jessefallas7094 6 месяцев назад

      @@macmost It happens on websites using safari. You wouldn’t say this is a hardware problem if it’s only in safari right?

    • @macmost
      @macmost  6 месяцев назад

      @@jessefallas7094 I don't see why it would be a hardware problem.

    I wish you would make a playlist with Sonoma. Sometimes I can't use some of your tutorials because it doesn't work with Sonoma.

      I always make videos using the most recent macOS. So just stick to ones from September 2023 and on. But most videos from a year or two before would be fine too.

    Advanced 'find text' with the ability to replace the word is really useful because most of the time I want to change certain word to start with capital letter but it's burdensome to find and replace one by one. Thanks for showing that Gary

    Can I still search and replace something in 'SELECTED TEXT'? It searches entire page document rather than selected paragraph and replace everything. Kind of a pain! I hope you can help me. Thanks

    • @macmost
      @macmost  22 дня назад

      No, there's no "find only in selected text" function. Never was. Just put the text cursor at the start of that selection, then do a Find & Replace. Continue until you reach the end of the section and stop.

    Anyone who knows how to search for a line break? Is there a list somewhere how to search for hidden characters?

    • @macmost
      @macmost  6 месяцев назад +1

      I show that in this video.
