I love how she sounds the same in person as she does on the recorded version, a true talent
RIIIIIGHT!?! 💕💕💕💕
emo_ rosaaa omg yes! i think she may even sound better
@@kaleighbeard2965 amen
@kelly mcphaul that's the perfect way to decide her thank you
Was what i thought too ❤
I love how chill and intimate this is. It’s like listening to a friend.
Never underestimate the power of a bass guitar. Excellent rhythm brother
This song is so powerful when performed in a minimalistic setting. This album is about being stripped down to barely anything, and finding strength to keep going. When the vocals are able to stand alone, it just adds that ideal lonely, yet powerful element to it. I love it!
Her TONE is insane. Usually singers lose that tone in these kinda acoustic performances. But it’s literally better than studio
I Worship Gays And Satan and wild to think to keep that tone and breathe control up when casually lounging on a couch haha
Mediocre Jordan truly, sat down as well, so she’s constricted, so keeping a consistent tone and executing clean little runs and vocal lines would be harder but here she is. Damn
i like ur username
Insane? It's not so hard :/
Anah Maní it’s pretty impressive bcuz she has such a high vocal range, and she can still hit all the low notes. and she’s sitting and constricted, which makes it more difficult
Hayley is washing her hands and staying in home.
That's a good inspiration for kids
Now we need Hayley to make emos washing their hair.
Rude.
I'm sure she was doing that already anyways lol
Its cool. But some of us got to work 😔
people stop with the nonsense!
Hayley:
Vocals sounding the same sitting, standing, laying, walking, jumping, sleeping, crawling, creeping, sneezing.. (point is, always)
This truly shows how amazing her lyrics and melodies are. Strip a song down to its bare minimum and see if it still stands. I LOVE how Hayley partnered with Joey for this album to utilize the bass as the central instrument of her songs. As a bass player, what I love about Joey's style on this record is that he doesn't try to outshine anyone else or overplay. He creates the rhythms and hooks for the rest of the band to dance around, including Hayley with her vocals. The stuff he's playing here is actually fairly simple patterns, but they're repeated over and over again so they get stuck in your head and create this rhythmical space that just feels right. In my opinion, that's the sign of a truly great bassist - being able to play in the pocket in such a way that you hook people in while letting the others shine.
The bass lines are seemingly simple. Easy to figure out what he's doing but I'm amazed by his creativity. He keeps a groove while crafting beautiful harmonies and melodic lines. He comes up with new stuff all the time on his IG. His playing is so distinct I bet a lot of bass players are picking up a thing or two from him.
This is one accurate comment 👌
No autotune, no super production. Just Joey, the bass, Hayley and her amazing voice.
Dani M and the fancy click track...
And the cameraman...
Can we stop with the "no autotune" comments
Autotune has its place in other genres that plenty of people enjoy. Their enjoyment of that music is valid.
Dont forget the amazing legs too..
@@alvinkazuma2907 ._.XD
i love how much we’re getting out of this project. i’m so happy to see hayley so passionate about what she’s doing :)
Yea same
🤔
I remember taking my best friend that was into hip hop to see Paramore at Red Rocks. She kept saying, “how is she still singing live, on tune, bouncing around like that?”.
Hayley is a true talent and a force while performing.
She is also an incredible song writer. So grateful for you, Hayley. Thank you.
“and who’s going to lose me.” this line alone is what made me love this song. i’ve been such a huge fan of her voice since i was 12, and now i’ll be 24 on the 30th. i’m so excited to finally see her and hear live in june on the 15th. never quit making music, hayley! 💓 this is one of the reasons i keep going everyday, knowing i wouldn’t be able to listen to the music anymore after i’m gone. paramore and hayley have made such a huge impact on my life 🧡💛
i feel this exact comment with my soul
mic EXACTLY from middle school to the rest of my life 🙏🏽
Saame! I've been a fan since I was 16, saw Paramore when I was 18 and just turned 28 last month :D I can't wait to see her this june
yo i was 13 and im turning 24 on the 29th. this is useless information, i just thought it was funny
Selena Queen okay, this is NOT useless information 😛 i love this information!!!!
This video really lets you appreciate Joey's bass playing
The kind of content we need in these times.... Please make Sunday session a thing.....
I love how she can sing live with no production or even a capella and still sound amazing and every note sounds in the right volume and tone.
I like the very end, watch her eyes and how her face changes. You can tell shes coming back to reality. What music does to us is truly something else, thank you Hayley for sharing.
gonna play this all day while in quarantine
i just love how the bass is used for the melody and not the rythm.... musical genius right there
Charline Bastin in the last few years, bass has been used more as a melody than a support line :)
Paul McCartney has been doing that for sixty years. Nice work
Michael Converse amen
Michael Converse totally! Have you heard the isolated bass track for “Something”? It does such a great job of moving the melody and chord changes along
RobJGoldE of corse! The bass arrangements were always spot on
The fact that she’s giggling the moment before and transitions straight into that beautiful intro astonishes me. What an angel.
this bassline is just pure magic, takes some real talent to make something like this
Yes JOEYYYYYY, didn't expect this and clicked faster than ever
As a bassist myself, I love the effort both Paramore and Hayley put on the bass of their songs, I love this woman
The bass playing on the last Paramore album (recorded by Justin Meldal-Johnsen I believe) is absolute pefection.
I totally agree. Had to do a bass cover
/watch?v=hHfOrTNuNL8
@@FedRickaT I fuckin love it bruh
He's playing guitar on bass.
Yup another longtime bassist here. This is fire. Her voice is silk and honey. Beautiful!
Damn her tone/control singing that softly is incredible.
Also, my bedroom walls are the same color.
If Hayley continues making music into her 80s, I will keep listening. I have already been captivated by her as a person and musician for 15-16 years(I'm mid 30s), what's another 45? Well, it'll make my life a lot more enjoyable at the very least. She is just one of those people and musicians that come around once per generation at best. I hope she finds a way to keep pushing through her struggles because her music and a lot of what she's been through are extremely relatable to a lot of people, including myself. Having suffered a great deal in my own life, (depression, alcoholism, removing toxic people from my life, financial troubles, divorce, a house fire, losing my best friend, my own journey through therapy and self-awareness), I have kind of seen her as a distant friend who struggles just like I have. We need people like her in this world. I'm not religious in any way shape or form, but her and her band have been a constant in my life for so long, and I have always had a great deal of respect for the version of her that we all know. Thank you and please never stop making music. The more Hayley in the world, the better.
This is how you brighten a dark Sunday
Talent is basically when you play and record the same shit in a single take
All of them are so damn good❤️
They had years of practice. Very professional.
There is literally no negative comments here, everyone recognizes her talent. I am so proud of her ❤
The "Yeah, good job" "You too" dialogue made it for me. Thanks for the performance Hayley
I’m loving this song more and more each day, especially after watching this session. She is such a blessing.
my new quarantine soundtrack
Your attitude is exactly why the government will quarantine us. Let me guess. You are ok with being frisked and x-rayed without probable cause in an airport too. Wake up!
@@mtl18 ok boomer
It's so freaking soft. The sound and the view is just perfect.
love that she's creating and feeling so open now shes such a force
her voice makes me wanna live
Letícia Tavares you’re lovely and I’m proud of you.
Jeanette Dok ohh thanks i guess
@@meowlamp this is so sweet
Wao same🖤
Yes!!! Exactly ❤
AMAZING, we need more like this one Hayley
I started listening to Paramore when I'm still in college. And now I'm 37 years old and still listening. Please don't stop producing good music.
I love how she goes from belly laugh and fucking around to perfect singing voice and dramatism in like 2 seconds.
hayley youre the reason why i wake up every morning. youre my inspiration in life and i wanna be like you and grow happily and beautifully like you are doing right now. Youre a true talent and a beautiful young woman. I love you so much
Oh Hayley. I'm so utterly smitten...that voice, that smile, that bubbly personality. You've helped me through so many rough and hurtful times. Keep being awesome!!
Hayley's voice and Joey's bass playing 🔥😍
Omg Hayley going “Good job” at the end and Joey saying “it’s all you” my HEART I’m 🥺
Hayley! I can't thank you enough for being such an open human being. I have grown beside you/your music. Anytime I have ever felt lonely there has always been a song from you that fits into that point in my life.. from middle school to adulthood. I am so grateful to have lived in this time and share this space with you and everyone else who has felt this way. ♥️🧡💛
It’s awful to think Hayley wanted to commit suicide. She’s an amazing singer and soul. We all have our own personal issues and we need to treat each other better. Glad she’s still with us and delivering such great and talented music!
Who said that?
Luci Felder herself in a recent interview
@@lucifelder2131 according to her it's literally her dog that's kept her alive the last year or so. Her dog. That's why the cinnamon music video is an almost empty house and the only other living things are her dog , and the different parts of her personality that she's been running/hiding from.
Honestly, I can't blame her. She started around age 15 and the music industry isn't exactly a great place for young women for many many reasons. I hope she does alright in the future and wouldn't hold it against her if she decides to leave the music industry
Arcordia sadly most entertainment industries are tough on women in general. It’s a shame. Hopefully she sticks with music because it’s apparent that is her talent
Only Haley Williams can sing Hayley Williams’ songs. True definition of uniqueness 👏
Why did I like this raw, stripped down version better? LOVE HER VOICE!!
This is exactly what I need this Sunday 😢 THANKS FOR SHARING, QUEEN ❤️
This is prolific, musical genius just happening on a couch. Also that room looks so rock n’ roll; like Jimi Hendrix’s apartment.
I wouldn't mind if Joey joined Paramore in the future... He's so talented and seems that Hayley and him have a good friendship c:
Justin York should be a "real" member already
Joey is a part of other band
I love their friendship so much 🥰😭
@@gelofrancisco9725 so does Zac, so why not eh
They’re dating.
Didn’t know I could love her more than I did when I first saw “Pressure” as a teenager. Someone call my mom, I’m in love!!
Hayley!! Girl!! @ 3:30 I almost fell out of my chair!!! These vocals, the music, the setting intertwined with my whole being! I don't know if I will be fully prepared for these live performances!! I'm hoping the shows don't get rescheduled because the one I'm planning on coming to is on my birthday!!!
Hayley and Joey getting us through these Hard Times with Petals for Armor like..
Stuff like this really does rekindle my 12+ year old crush on Hayley. So beautiful, and it's been amazing to see her grow up as much as I have. Incredible woman, incredible artist. Much love.
This album is so incredible. Its inspirational, uplifting, raw and real. I don’t think I’ve ever connected to a project and felt like if was for all women no matter who you are. Thank you Hayley.
The bass parts in this album are priceless, so good.
She looks so comfy! This was relaxing to watch
I'm amazed by the pure clean sound of Hayley's voice outside the acoustically controlled environment of a studio; it just doesn't occur organically very often. I think we're all (music lovers and afficionados) are quite fortunate to hear someone so wonderfully gracious and special share her talent and her beauty.
*#Nashville* *#Hayley* *#Paramore**!*
YESSSSS GIRL YOUR SPARK IS BACK, NEW AND IMPROVED ❤️ thank you for still being with us, you’ve been an inspiration even in your darkest times
Omg are you trying to kill me?
What a way to go
Cause of death: Hayley Williams
Yes it's a conspiracy against you
I love it
Melanie Faye 👁👄👁 I LOVE YOUR MUSIC SO MUCH!!!!!
The line 'Now that i wanna live, the ones i love are dying' has really helped me put some things into perspective regarding my family, and i pray i don't feel the same way. That line alone makes me want to live a little more than i did before. Thank you for your writing Hayley, it truly does reach people deeply
That bass work is sick! An awesome mix with her voice.
Omg, the CONTENT! Hayley Williams is the musical RUclipsr I never knew i needed.
🥰 This just made me even more excited for when you go on tour! I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us with the rest of the album ☺
Holy funk! My favorite batch of songs.. The world needs you! It needs this. So thankful that I get it.
I can’t help but marvel over your voice every time you sing Hayley! Can’t wait to see you again in June 🌻🧡 love u!
I know she's super talented and this is a beautiful song but can we take a moment of appreciation for hayley's legs
3:30 OH MY LORD
I’m glad I grew up with her, I can always sing one of her songs to get me out of or express whatever mood I’m feeling 🥰
It's impressive how you sing exactly like the original song, I mean girl you are a goddess! You are so talented, you don't need any autotune or any other shit, your voice is so soft and simply amazing♥️
I don't know if you'll actually see this, Hayley, but I have been thinking about this for a long time and I really just have to get it off my chest.
This song means EVERYTHING to me. Back in January, my mom was diagnosed with lymphoma. She was in the hospital for the entire week before Christmas while they were trying to figure out why she woke up and was temporarily paralyzed from the neck down. She was released on Christmas eve due to being in a stable condition.
Then January came and we were smacked in the face with her diagnosis. Though it was an incredible prognosis, and my mother is the strongest woman on Earth in my eyes(5 kids with no drugs and an army wife), my world started to crumble. She started treatment and everything was going amazing, as well as we could hope!
Then February came.. and my little brother was diagnosed with the same non-genetic cancer that my mom had, and my older brother beat a few years ago.
Again, their cancer is non genetic and pretty damn rare. How does lightning strike three fucking times in the same place?
At this point, my crumbling world completely fell apart. My fight with depression was starting to drag me under the floor at this point. I happened to hear this song during the hardest time in my life, when I didn't even want to live for myself, and I've never had lyrics bring me to my knees before, but your words literally floored me. I couldn't listen to this song for a long time. Every time I had the album playing, I had to skip it because it would bring me to tears. I couldn't believe how much it resonated to my situation. It felt like you were speaking to me.
I can say now, after my mom defeating cancer (FUCKYESSS), This is now my favorite song in the entire world. It reminds me of how our worlds can be a living nightmare, and we are forced to face it head on, and be strong to get through things in our lives and be better and stronger because of them.
Our battle is half won. Mom beat her lymphoma, and Alex, my little brother is right behind her with 2 chemo treatments left followed by 2 weeks of radiation, AND HES DONE!
Again, I don't know if you will see this.. but I couldn't have the words to describe how important this song is to me at this point in my life. Thank you.
Some great Bass here and of course the sweet yet powerful vocals of Hayley
Wow! Waking up in the morning and hearing/seeing this ......
It's just WOW, IT REALLY MADE MY DAY
THANK YOU 😘
Your voice and music has given me so much comfort and joy over the years...Love you, Hayley!
She's so beautiful 🖤
Hayley’s voice + Bass guitar = 💯 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
This is such a perfect birthday gift. Thank you, Hayley!
I came into Hayley’s solo record not being a Paramore fan or knowing much about her and have been blown away by how raw and honest it all is. and the production is weird and wild and stunning. amazing arrangements and mixing
Im staring at hayley's legs the whole time hhahaah
things are done (filmed) on purpose
Yeah and her feet 🤤 drooling over here
ME TOO 😍😍😍
HAYLEY WILLIAMS IS MY DADDY
Same
❤️❤️❤️ you’re so talented! I Love you Hayley and Joey!!!
*Haley Williams + Operation Ivy = for the win*
Hayley your style and your voice is always relevant, through the early times of Paramore and now as a solo artist, you've always been a part of music that is felt in all these different years :) happy to see you continue to evolve
“Who else am I gonna lose before I am ready.” speaks volume
Its amazing that bassline and her voice👏👏 EPIC!!
These are my favorite kind of performances... so raw! Love it so much 💕
Hayley is a recording studio all herself. Put her in a room with instrumental and she can sound like the fully produced track.
yessss i was hoping there was a full recording of that audio 💕💕
"Leave It Alone"
Don't nobody tell me
That God don't have a sense of humor
'Cause now that I want to live
Well, everybody around me is dyin'
Now that I finally wanna live
The ones I love are dyin'
Becoming friends with a noose that I made
And I keep trying to untie it
Make it into something useful
Or maybe hang it through a window pane
Turn it into a fire escape
It tastes so bitter
On my tongue
The truth's a killer
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it alone
You don't remember
My name somedays or
That we're related
It triggers my worry
Who else am I gonna lose before
I am ready
And who's gonna lose me
It tastes so bitter
On my tongue
The truth's a killer
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it a-
If you know love
You best prepare to grieve
Let it into your open heart and
Then prepare to let it leave
It tastes so bitter
The truth's a killer
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it alone
But I can't leave it a-
But I can't leave it a-
Her voice is incredible 😍
This bass version is simply excellent !!!! I love it ! What else to say ...
I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED THIS VIDEO SO BAD
My grandma is going through dementia really bad right now, the fact that I can't see here because of the virus right now when she needs us is killing me - this song is so fkn thearupetic. I love her so much (my grandma...) And yes I do love hayl too but this version is so powerful

I love seeing Joey and Hayley's friendship, seems pure and GOOD.

I listened this religiously for days up until my brother suddenly killed himself. It’s a bit harder to hear now. Rip buddy. Love you so much. I’m sorry
oh my. I'm so sorry. sending love
Sorry to hear this. 🌷🌷🌷
All the best for the future 2 of my close friends have left the same because of covid
Love to you. I am so sorry for your pain.
you are not alone in your pain. I send whatever emotional connection I can over these inter webs... I’m so fucking sorry.
Omg everytime I hear her laughter at the beginning of the video, I get so happy and laugh along.
It's not fair how beautiful Hayley is. She is Angel like!! Oh yeah beautiful song too!! Love the melody on the bass!
Geez I can't wait for the tour 😩
Hayley blessing us with all these posts is one of the few good things happening in 2020
I can't wait to see you in concert! You are so amazing, been loving Paramore since riot! Keep on going
Love love this! I’m obsessed. Such a great melody and such raw emotions.
