Another enjoyable review, Mr. Raiti! Not very different from your excellent review of the 2023 Sport Touring trim...which is understandable, since Honda hasn't changed very much since then. As long as we're all focusing on trivial zonks like light bulb rear turn signals and analog speedometers, I'll mention the Sport Touring has more glossy black trim on the doors and dash than this model, which is more like my daughter's CRV-EX...the Sport Touring looks nicer but again...that's trivial. 2 questions: Does the Sport-L have the excellent 12 speaker Bose system like the Touring editions, or a lesser system...and does it have the acoustically lined window glass and wheel well sound proofing? Back in 23, I test drove both the Sport Touring and the Sport, and the Sport Touring was noticeably quieter than the Sport. Honda has improved on road noise, but on coarse pavement they still have some work to do. I love my Sport Touring which, in 23, stickered just above 40k and I thought it was worth the extra cost in my lease over the Sport. The only flaws in mine are an occasional rattle somewhere inside the left side of the dash, which doesn't pop up often enough for me to have the dealer disassemble the dash to find it, and I have more frequent drop outs in my Sirius/XM than I had in my previous leased high-end Accords. I miss the HUD compass and, just a bit, the ventilated seats. On the latter, the AC--even in economy mode--cools the car very quickly. I beat the EPA numbers in urban cycle during warm weather...often 42-44 mpg, and 29-32 on the interstate, averaging around 37 mpg in mixed driving. Yes, the numbers drop off during cold weather. Excellent off-the-line torque, and more than adequate passing power on relatively level terrain...haven't tried passing on a steep upgraded 2 lane road, though. The AWD seemed to work well in last winter's one week of really snowy weather here in Buffalo, but I don't doubt the Subaru's AWD is a better system for snow. And there seems to be no way to ask this question from the production line!!
Speaking of wipers, the washer nozzles being in the wiper arms up front is a definite zonk. The older system got more fluid on the glass with better coverage...much better.
This has been on my short list along with the new Tuscon hybrid (I plan to actually do a test drive this week). If i went with the CRV i would probably want the top trim tho. The hybrid sport touring.
The new CR-V imo would be at the top of the segment if it had more features, if the CR-V had just as many features as the RAV4, it would be at the top of the segment fs, the RAV4 still remains king in this segment for me but this new CR-V is a fantastic choice too
On my 2018 & 2020 Accords, I found the fog lights had become superfluous. The LED headlights provided such good lighting that when I put on the fog lights, I couldn't see any actual difference in coverage.
American Honda has gotten so greedy and stingy with this new CR-V. Other manufacturers offer more features for less. It’s a shame as I’ve owned a Civic and currently own a previous gen CR-V. I want to consider another Honda but these prices aren’t compelling compared to what other brands offer for the money. I also hate how Honda only offers the hybrid in sport trims. The black rims are ugly as they look like a car with missing hubcaps imo and a black interior is so drab and it gets hotter during the summer. This is just a way for Honda to cost cut by offering fewer interior colors/trim pieces for the hybrid and not a lot of choices for the customer.
But it's 8" shorter than the Accord. I had leased 7 consecutive high-end Accords, but the 2023 made it 1" too long for my garage. At first, I was disappointed. But at my age, my arthritic knees love the CRV over the low Accord seating, and it's nice having AWD.
Hi, the more original compact SUV had been the VW Golf Country. On this idea Toyota developed the RAV 4, so the germans invented an other new car category!
I'd like to think the reason for the fake dual exhaust is Honda has a plan for a power plant to compete with the RAV4 Prime, but that's wishful thinking. 204hp is a bit too tame.
After having a lease of the sportage PHEV and now having this, the sportage wins. Way more features for similar price and the Sportage is far more comfortable to ride in. Also, why the hell does honda still not offer ventilated seats on the CRV?!
@@stevenl4543 Kia had a better warranty but costs overall are about the same. Also, at the end of the day any reliability is overall based on how the owner of the vehicle treats the vehicle; obviously outside of weird defects.
I had a not so great experience with my 2017 Honda CRV. Electrical issues, blown Turbo, and Honda's constant insistence on the electrical issues that they were going to charge me a diagnostic fee if it was proven not to be under warranty. This happensd after only 20k of mileage. Even Consumer reports talked about this. Honda very reluctantly issued recalls, one being the stick shift coming apart and the "silent" recall of the head unit (they didn't have to fix it but they knew it was a problem). I was stranded out in Utah, having to walk 2 miles to get assistance, Honda was no help. After that experience, I will never own a Honda again. I traded in early to get a Subaru, and their commitment to service has been stellar.
Honda is still chasing the real king of small SUVs, the 2018 Subaru Forester XT. How do you know? Honda's 18 inch wheels, LED headlights, 2.0 liter engine connected to AWD. Unfortunately for Honda the thing pumps out only 204 hp. Why did the Subaru CEO discontinue the XT? The XT was too sporty. Subaru got carried away and made the XT with 250 turbocharged horses, to outperform every small SUV out there. Oops!
Apples and oranges again. This CRV is a much more efficient hybrid, though it has good torque. Also, the Sport Touring edition has 19" wheels, not 18" as in this Sport-L.

The new CR-V imo would be at the top of the segment if it had more features, if the CR-V had just as many features as the RAV4, it would be at the top of the segment fs, the RAV4 still remains king in this segment for me but this new CR-V is a fantastic choice too
Didn’t the previous version have full LED taillights. Seems they went backwards.
🎉🎉 best wishes for your new
The lack of fog lights and the gross reflector on the fender are bad choices. I still use my fog lights at night on dirt roads.
On my 2018 & 2020 Accords, I found the fog lights had become superfluous. The LED headlights provided such good lighting that when I put on the fog lights, I couldn't see any actual difference in coverage.
They should’ve kept the push button shifter.
Does it come with another interior color besides black? It does need better resolution on the info system, and 360 camera is desirable.
A few colors have a gray interior as a 2nd choices, but most are black only.
The thing is, at 185 inches long, it's more like a midsized SUV. It's longer than the RAV4 and almost as long as the Model Y.
But it's 8" shorter than the Accord. I had leased 7 consecutive high-end Accords, but the 2023 made it 1" too long for my garage. At first, I was disappointed. But at my age, my arthritic knees love the CRV over the low Accord seating, and it's nice having AWD.
Soccer moms rejoice!!
That’s a nice Car
Do they have a plug-in hybrid like the RAV4 ?
It's not the best in everything, but it's good enough for everything. The design is quite neutral, which some people find it boring
How can this be the sport model with 204 hp? It weights 3,869 lbs. which is not light.
It is more of styling thing!
I agree with all your ZONKS.
But I would own one.
How much hip room does it have?? CX-5 has very little 😢
Hi, the more original compact SUV had been the VW Golf Country. On this idea Toyota developed the RAV 4, so the germans invented an other new car category!
Honda with their dark interiors 😞
All the food you mentioned is not healthy. You must be hungry lol.
Thank you from Boston for the showing
I was very hungry! You are so very welcome!
How much was the crv?
La mejor en su segmento ❤
I'd like to think the reason for the fake dual exhaust is Honda has a plan for a power plant to compete with the RAV4 Prime, but that's wishful thinking. 204hp is a bit too tame.
Which is quieter on the highway, the CR-V hybrid or the Tucson Hybrid?
Thanks!
Almond milk has more proteins because it comes from almond cows
RIP all these cars.
Right turn cameras please
Still no ventilated seats?? 😞
Great looking little SUV…great review…thanks!
is this supposed to be Honda's small SUV? this seems medium size to me.
There smallest is the HR-V, than this CR-V, followed by the Passport and their largest is the Pilot.
After having a lease of the sportage PHEV and now having this, the sportage wins. Way more features for similar price and the Sportage is far more comfortable to ride in. Also, why the hell does honda still not offer ventilated seats on the CRV?!
How about other maintenance cost variables (Sportage vs CRV) especially long term reliability?
@@stevenl4543 Kia had a better warranty but costs overall are about the same. Also, at the end of the day any reliability is overall based on how the owner of the vehicle treats the vehicle; obviously outside of weird defects.
Sports Touring Hybrid is the King. The L is just the wanna be.
Love how noone has pointed out his bratwurst joke...I got it tho Joe..😂😂😂
Thanks for letting me share the laughs with you and the SUVs.
Buick Envision is better at everything vs this CRV, especially infotainment. GM just perfected the infotainment.
Mazda cx5 is the king of compact suv.
40k for sport trim?
For real man, this is getting ridiculous. Car prices are beyond stupid right now.
@@sergeantsnugglez3228 at this point a car payment is more than rent is in some places
