  • Part 1 of the Braided Cable Beanie Crochet goes over the slip stitch brim to row 4 of the beanie. See the remainder of the hat in Part 2. • Part 2 Braided Cable B...
The Braided Cable Beanie is a textured crochet pattern that is worked from the brim up. It is made in adult size. Pattern cannot be altered for smaller sizes due to the 20 stitch repeat. If you would like to make in a smaller size, use a smaller hook or yarn weight.
This is an intermediate to advanced pattern due to the cables. Cables are made by crocheting post stitches, which are worked around the stitch from the previous round not in to the top of the stitch. These post stitches cross over each other at times to get the braided look.
    Materials Needed:
    - I 5.5mm Crochet Hook
    - 250 yards of Medium #4 yarn (I Love This Yarn by Hobby Lobby used in video)
    - Tapestry Needle
    - Scissors
    - Option for faux fur pom pom supplies:
    - Faux Fur Fabric
    - Xacto Knife
    - Nylon Thread
    - Sewing Needle
    - Poly-Fil
    Stitches Used:
    - slip stitches for the brim
    - Double Crochet
    - Triple Crochet

Thanks for making a video of the pattern! I wish it wasn’t so long though, it’s a little frustrating to keep skipping over all the times when you count your stitches. A lot could be cut out and it would make the pattern a lot easier to follow!

Thank you thank you thank you so much for making this video!!! I struggled with this pattern for weeks, for 2 reason; one cause I’ve never done cables before, and two because I’m a lefty! I watched this video and got it sorted in my head and hands and I really really appreciate it!!

Thank you for providing this wonderful pattern. I've been looking to add something new to my cold season wardrobe and this is the best of both worlds in terms of looking like a beautiful cabled hat while also having the benefit of being made speedier with crochet! So excited for this

It's a great video other. Than the sound. I wasn't sure if it was my device so I changed and it was the same level. Cannot hear you very well

Beautiful post, my only concern was you went kind of fast during the crochet process and talked a lot on the side so it wasn’t clear on the directional. I tried to follow but the side talking for me lost at times and your hand was quick and lost somehow in the pattern. I won’t thumbs done because the pattern is just too beautiful. But please slow down, I don’t want to sound rude or mean but I’m very visual but the side talk made me lose concentration.

My band came out so wobbly at the end of rows of the back stitch single crochet.. what did I do wrong? It's just not straight But I"m going to continue anyway.. I"ll try again with that part

    • @CrochetItCreations
      @CrochetItCreations  5 лет назад

Hi Seoreh! The band uses slip stitches, unless you are replacing them with single crochet.

Here's a link to a better way, imo, to do the brim. I turn mine and just work in the back of the stitch.

Please speak up. You sound like you’re just mumbling to yourself sometimes and it’s very confusing, especially when you’re going through the difficult parts. It’s a beautiful pattern and I want to be clear about how it’s done. Thank you for sharing the pattern! 😄👍

Why don’t you just say something like, “Do x amount of rows for the brim then 80 double crochets total for round 1” instead adding in all those unnecessary extra steps???

    • @mutednoise8769
